Another thing to if you dont have an led bulb you can get led bulbs that already have the flashes in them that you dont have to install a module but this module is super cool
Yup, and there’s an updated version as well that’ll only activate if you’re going a certain MPH so that it’s not always activating. That’s one feature I want ASAP for all units. Pretty annoying in traffic.
@@flyryde too bad the vehicle I was stuck behind in stop and go traffic, for 20 minutes, didn't have such an update. He was tailgating the car in front of him, and constantly creeping up, releasing and reapplying the brake. The almost constant flashing drove me insane, and there was no way for me to get away from it.
T taps regularly light cars on fire just freakin solder. I know it can be annoying but from my and many of my friends experiences crimps connecters fail all the time unless its a pin style water tight connector. but soldering is the best surefire way to have a proper connection and not accidently light ur car on fire by shorting out a wire. ps i know it should be fine cause he tapped the ground but still t taps often damage the wire
One thing I'd like to mention, poking the wire is a good way to create a short. Back probing is a much better method when checking your wires... I mention this because a lot of people who are novice will do this bad habit not realizing what it can do. Not throwing off on the video or anything like that, because it actually is really good content. As a tech myself, I just couldn't help pointing that one thing out man.
This would be great for a flash to pass button / stalk for the high beam headlights. I'll put one on my motorcycle for sure headlight for sure (and brake light as well)
What if you also want to power bumper LED reflector led’s AND the 3rd brake light? I’d have to run a wire to each? And is it powerful enough to power that many LED’s?
Great video on a product I had no clue existed, but the use of a T-tap on that ground wire makes me very sad. They are convenient, but they often cut through strands of copper when crimped down. In turn increasing resistance and reducing current carrying capacity of the wire it's applied to. You definitely should have just grounded to the chassis ground in this situation. Also, I'd recommend not loosely running that yellow wire inside the bumper cover like that. I would run it back into the vehicle and secure along the factory wiring harness all the way to the other tail light. Cars are vibration machines, loose wires on metal = shorts. The convenient way is not always the best way!
Will this work if my break light is also my turn signal ? I have resistors on them bc i put LED's but it hyperflashes and it only blinks slow when i have hazards. Thank you in advance 👍
Idk why but the flashing to me makes it look like it has a bad connection. I've seen them on a few Hondas and Acuras and I always think they just have a bad connection
I swear I’ve done this so many times, but somehow, never just showed a simple start to finish install like this? Normally I focus on the programming part right?
Illegal in nearly every state. No vehicle can display flashing red light except for emergency vehicles. Yeah, you’ll probably get away with it - similarly to seatbelt laws. But you’ll always get that one jurisdiction that catches you. Such as my local police. A car dealer was installing these in every car they sold. The police started issuing citations and the county judge began requiring proof of removal.
Ultimately it depends on your car and how it's wired - many ways to do it... Yes - *IF* the switch controls/feeds power to the brake lights directly. BUT - in today's cars it's more likely that the wire from the brake switch is fed into some module that then handles the feeding of the lights, monitoring current draw for broken bulb warning etc. You could use a multimeter measuring resistance (or continuity mode (beep)) poking just after the switch (while not activated) and the brake light wire after any possible modules (either at the lights or maybe on the loom running back probably along one of the sills/thresholds) You'd probably need to extend at least on of the test leads. A continuity beep, or very low resistance reading, and you should be good.
1:40 - Why did you poke a hole in the wire¿! If you was working at a shop and did that, you would most likely be out of a job.... They're designed to poke the connectors, not the wires. 😮😂😂
I despise these blinky brake lights. I want to break them out every time I see them. They are confusing attention-getting devices. Do the people know how how completely stupid they look? They might as well be waving pinwheels out the windows and screaming "look at me" They do not contribute to safety in any way.
I don’t really care about my cars, but if I did, and had a ton of money tied up in carbon bumpers, or crazy expensive custom tails, I’m sure I’d give zero shits about annoying the dude behind me. While he’s looking down at his phone at least the annoying lights will let him know to look up and hit the brakes 👌
@@flyryde and my 14k is tied up in my engine, where it matters.. not bumpers and lights that don't do a thing. But I enjoy your videos.. no need to get salty
Thank you for this, I'm glad there is someone out there not gatekeeping everything they do.
where can i buy this? the link goes to red leds, not the flasher itself.
Dude I’ve been looking for a video EXACTLY like this for weeks now. Simple. Thank you so much!!!

They should add sensor feature, so when a car is approaching the back of the car or gets to close at a certain speed, the break lights will flash
If you buy a unit with higher wattage, you can tee into the wiring up near the driver's door, and it will do the entire brake light system
Awesome mod, can't believe it was so easy to install. Love your vids. Pls keep them coming
Thanks! What car did you think looked the best with it?
@@flyryde of course Ferrari 😍. I have a C8 and will post when I get this done 👍

Are these still available for purchase online?
Look up Timers Shop, that's where he was getting them from I think

What specifically about probing a wire would lead to a short? Can you provide a bit of detail and advice, as well as define what back probing means 👍
Can you just plug this to the break light relay?
I know this video is a bit old but do I need 4 modules since I have 4 piece break light on my car and trunk
You do really awesome stuff and make it look so easy!!!!!! Keep up the great work and awesome content!!!!!!
Appreciate you Henry. If I keep making it, will you keep watching? 😬
I have a Volkswagen 2008 but I think I have to replace the breaks lights to led lights so it can work right?

I have a tundra with basic headlights. Id like to know how to create a from scratch headlight, if possible.
Why though? Those are annoying except when only in hard braking but most cars do that automatically already.
Does it work on your Tesla?

got your attention didnt they.... thats the reason I almost got rear ended this week. installed on today.
@@MrEqp123 I'm with you. I live in a metro area and folks ride your bumper in traffic like crazy. I wonder if these work for my 2014 Avalon?
If you end up with your taillights smashed out, this is why. Taillights should only blink under emergency braking situations.
Hi i would like these for my 2012 mazda 3 direct me for payment
Careful with having those, I have the 6x flashing ones from walmart n got pulled over for them
4 flashes max. Cop bikes have em too, not that it makes them legal for anyone else.
Are these still available??
Where do I find that kit 4 the blinking taillights??
Bro I need this cuz sometimes I feel like the people behind me won't brake
Thanks for this!

I have a lest said upgrade it stop lights. I just take oof the original and i out the new flashing led stop lights simple without all those wires. 🤷🏻
thanks homie!
Thank you my man 👊
Where is the link to buy this?

Check with your state if legal or pay for it.
Yes always follow all rules. Also, everything is illegal. Stay stock kids 👍
I had these 30+ years ago on my Fairlady Z

I’m not great friend material 😭 I got a stick I can wedge against my brake pedal tho 👌

Does the blue to red connection bother anyone else?
This whole install was probably triggering for the extra OCD types 😅
Needed a minute to actually see the flashes you programmed. Ads for other videos covered the screen at the end
I have a feeling if I spend to long showing up my wife Kia, it’s not gonna keep people around very long anyway 😅
