Sanwa JLF is regarded by many as one of the best arcade joysticks due to its relatively low cost, good build quality, and solid performance. This joystick has become the standard (baseline) against which all others are benchmarked. But even with everything this joystick has going for it, I always felt that it was missing a key feature - a removable shaft. Luckily, a great aftermarket solution is available that can quickly replace the one-piece Sanwa JLF shaft with a quick-release model.
Here's a video I created to demonstrate the installation of The Link Ex Groove quick-release shaft into the Sanwa JLF joystick. Because of its similarity to the JLF model, the Sanwa JLX joystick is compatible with the same removable shaft, and the installation process is virtually identical.
