Can see why Dan is in print media. He’s almost incapable of finishing a sentence; but despite that, a really great interview. Fantastic insights into recent history and his enthusiasm and support for the club is infectious. Top bloke, top interview
Got a bit annoying toward the end with him struggling to make a point 😂
Forest have signed a centre forward, a CMid, a central def and GK all of which strengthens the spine of the team. All those players have a ‘growl’ and can be called upon when things start to get nasty
We’ll see but I disagree. Just more journeymen jumping on the money train. Relegation still beckons.
@@pearcegreatesteverleftback03 we’ve been a soft touch and pushover at times this season. Shelvey and Felipe in particular can have a nasty streak, bit of bite, which i think the squad needs
@@pearcegreatesteverleftback03 You are mentally ill, you have commented negative drivel like this on UA-cam for years. Do you ever get bored of either being relentlessly negative or supporting Derby. Either one, you need help or a new hobby.
spot on, shelvey iEngland international clas sin his day and i se him as possible captain material next seeason. Damilo looks 'top class' , best goalie of the last deacde and a rock of a centre back. add a striker thats scored double figure prem goals in 4 different seasons and a player the maanger has worked with before.. watch some total thick knobrot head say its a bad window lololol
@@PazLeBon i think that was @pearcegreatesteverleftback03 lol
Another great interview chippers seems along time since the last one but nice you’ve got them coming again 👏👏👏👍
I can remember sitting at home listening to Forest playing away at Charlton on Radio Nottm many years ago. Charlton had a 16 year old Jonjo Shelvey in the team and he proceeded to dominate the game for Charlton, and remember thinking to myself why can't Forest produce a kid like this and now a number of years on he has finished up here anyway. Just wondered if you remember it as well Robin
I went to the game at the Valley. I'm sure it was Billy Davies 1st game in charge, think we won 2 nil, Earnshaw scored a lob if memory serves me right. Shelvey played for them as a young kid and he was spraying balls all over the park. He was unmistakable because of his bald head but he was outstanding that day and I sort of followed his career ever since. If he can stay fit I think he'll be a great signing. His ability to unlock defences with his vision and range of passing and get Brennan in behind could be a real asset. He'll love working with the gaffer.
Great interview Chippers. Delighted to hear DT talk about moments being airbrushed out of his mind, i swear i get worried every time i see a flashback goal or match to a period from 2003 - 2018/9 and honestly ask myself am i losing my memory or do i really not remember that goal, or that goal, and who was that player on the wing? - Terrifying what we were put through. I get emotional just thinking about what the younger supporters must have felt at the final whistle last May because for me it was the most i cried in a very long time and at least, like Dan, i saw success under Cloughie and Frank Clark but not old enough to see the European Cups.
Whenever I see "Worst Forest Performance Ever" mentioned on Twitter or elsewhere, I always say "You weren't at Wigan away in the cup then"? It seemed the whole club had lost the plot.
To rub salt in the wounds, we all thought Fawaz was off the next day - and then he stayed for another six months!
I was there, it was awful but the cup game at chester was my nadir
Even now, as we bask in the enjoyment of a return to the Premier League, I would enjoy the hell out of reading that Billy Davies interview. It's the morbid fascination of it. Why did the bloke behave as he did? Why has he not worked in football ever again, despite obviously being a decent manager? Perhaps with a bit of 'lady luck', someone can prize him out of his hole to tell his side of it, and we can sit back and enjoy the tale, knowing that it matters not since we are now back in the big time, with our hero Steve Cooper in charge of the Club who has put all those shenanigans firmly in the past, and manages the club in the correct way.
Brilliant stuff from Danny. I would read a book of his about the Fawaz / WMD II period. We should enjoy the present but I’ve got to admit the erratic nature of the way the club is run behind the scenes does worry me.
I'm confident that Cooper's involved in all our new signings and they'll add to the squad at a time of a lot of injuries. 17th or above still our target this season.
Great interview. Danny speaks of MGW, and I agree that he's an incredible prospect for Forest and maybe England. Wolves knew full well but crucially Forest are backed to the hilt
Absolutely brilliant episode! Enthralling listen going through the last few years to now!
Everything Daniel said I agreed with and then I heard things I did not know fully getting that explanation was really fascinating but remembering those times what was said now makes even more sense. Thanks again for another very interesting and engrossing chat.
Brilliant interview that,really enjoyed it,thanks
Awesome interview. Extremely insightful.
Obsessed by Daniel Taylor's bookshelf- I'm barely listening to what he's saying I'm so intoxicated by it.
The colour coordination is absolutely sublime.
lol 😃
Write the book Dan, we would all love to know
Great interview , i dont always agree with DT but you cant argue with the fact that he is a big Forest fan . And makes some valid points
Born in 1980 agree with everything you said about the person and the new stand stand really think it would be a good idea to build a stand for the old stand is still in use
Ive aoften considered the athletic to be fos to be really honest, tapping upl players for inside info etc its rumoured, i remember then directly mis quoting players back in the fawaz days, in fact i think they got banned from the club at some point?
Percy too m8, pick them up on a lie and get banned lol
we often thought they had hiddeen agendas, dont ffollow them any more
i think some of this is a bit questionable
@@redlegend1865 what I said?
both the taylors and percy... used to be reds , now dont trust any of them tbh
great stuff
Thanks Simon, that’s very kind of you - and much appreciated
What exactly is this guys point when it comes to the new stand? You either want it built or you don’t. There’s always compromises with this sort of thing
He’s right, it’s going to be tough to have a fortress at home with 3 sides of a ground and 5k less Forest fans. Ideally it can be done in as little time as possible so it’s as little disruption as possible.
One day Chippers will get Billy on and I'd be happy to pay haha
He won’t!!
happy to pay for tomotoes and eggs to lump at trhe screen maybe. poison dwarf can do one
@@cliffharris3060 Tut Tut. Billy was our best manager since Clough. You know nothing.
Danny Sonner 😂
No young good striker all these old players will be no good in a year time should of got young players waste of money
They have young players though ? They needed extra quality to cope with all the injuries and the players that haven't quite cut the grade yet, so I'm glad they got proven players in this window especially not spending mega millions
It's all about survival this year. These could be be short term signings to help us stay up which is worth huge amounts of money so it's a sort of investment.
what on earth are you bleeting on about ?
Were you one of those slagging off John McGovern when he was lifting European Cups? 🤦♂️
