My doctor said there is good science on both sides of the Oats question- to eat or not eat oats. (Obviously without the chemicals.)
After 7 years of eating Oats (organic) 6 days per week to address health needs, there was no improvement. He asked me to consider stopping.
My health improved very quickly and my cholesterol levels started dropping for the first time in a decade.
    Such an interesting food.
I now leave Oats for the horses.

There is literally nothing in our environment without chemicals. Doctors are not, at any point, trained in nutrition. They have opinions, just like us, but most of their information comes from the same tainted sources we have. Science paid for by the industries creating the problems. We have been fed so many lies over the years that we are completely out of touch with what is right in front of us. Health is declining, globally. Cancer is rampant, even in children. We are not reproducing enough to replace ourselves, globally.
You say your health improved. What does that mean? Did you feel better? Sleep better? Did you have more energy or did a bunch of “tests” say you are better.

What they actually do with government agencies is hire their employees with very attractive salaries. So if you work for an agency, your most profitable career path is to go to work for one of the companies you are responsible for regulating. And you're not going to get that job if you regulate that company very strictly.

A simple search will show you hundreds of EPA and FDA regulations Trump administration rolled back were much were aimed at protecting us.
      Here are a few:
-Doubled the time allowed for utilities to remove lead pipesfrom water systems with high levels of lead.
-Revoked a rule that prevented coal companies from dumping mining debris into local streams.
-Withdrew a proposed rule aimed at reducing pollutants, including air pollution, at sewage treatment plants.
-Weakened a portion of the Clean Water Act to make it easier for federal agencies to issue permits for federal projects over state objections if the projects don’t meet local water quality standards, including for pipelines and other fossil fuel facilities.
-Relaxed air pollution regulations for a handful of plants that burn waste coal for electricity.
-Weakened an Obama-era rule meant to reduce air pollution in national parks and wilderness areas.
-Withdrew a Clinton-era rule designed to limit toxic emissions from major industrial polluters, and later proposed codifying the looser standards.
-Withdrew the legal justification for an Obama-era rule that limited mercury emissions from coal power plants.
-Formally withdrew the United States from the Paris climate agreement, an international plan to avert catastrophic climate change adopted by nearly 200 counties.
-Changed the way cost-benefit analyses are conducted under the Clean Air Act, potentially making it harder to issue new public health and climate protections.
-Canceled a requirement for oil and gas companies to report methane emissions.
-Revised and partially repealed an Obama-era rule limiting methane emissions on public lands, including intentional venting and flaring from drilling operations.

I live in a rural area. A lot of farm land is being sold to build track houses. The land that is in use for farming is all round up ready corn or soybeans. A lot of the corn is grown for ethanol. The rest is likely for animal feed or processed foods. I do not see any big farms growing actual food for people to eat. One little grocery store that’s been around for decades used to have labels on the meat telling exactly where the animals were raised and butchered. When Obama admin. relaxed labeling the label began to read simply “product of the USA.” Which we later learned could just mean it was packaged in the USA. The animal could be raised and butchered anywhere in the world.

The problem with buying organic foods in the grocery store is the price. I do buy it when I can. The problem with buying bulk and organic, is absolutely the price and the convenience of getting it. The average household cannot buy the foods they consume in bulk and grocery stores do not even offer most of what they sell as organic. Grocery store companies also know that most households cannot afford organic. I make our bread at home but it is still not organic. The problem is that all food and food products should be organic. We should not have anything in our food except food.

Cook from scratch is a big saver, drink water, put lemon in it or lime. Herbal organic teas.make large bottles of herbal iced teas. Buy cheaper cuts of meats but of course grass fed or organic. We get that local It will actually get mold after a couple days. The other stuff lasts indefinitely! I'm cooking from scratch at home! Haven't gone out to eat in 2+ years! It's all mystery food ! I grew up on organic farms and nothing in stores tastes right ! I checked a can of Campbell's soup at Aldiba couple months ago The small print said benzene ! 😮 I'm a senior and I almost dropped the can ! That's toxic and carcinogenic! Why put it in soup? Next time I went I checked again; not a mention of benzene ! They are no longer required to list all ingredients! Wish I'd bought it just to prove it ! Don't even get me started on seed oils ! I'm making everything from scratch ! 🎉

Ex-government employee here. So (1) why do our government agencies allow these dangerous chemicals to be used in our food supply and (2) what can we do about this?
    (2) There is hope to reform our food supply: Vote every level of election AND in between voting, communicate to your elected representatives to oppose the use of these dangerous chemicals in our food supply. Communication is key. 50-70% of Americans do not vote -- that means, the corrupt and ignorant among our officials --- can rely on keeping in power because most Americans don't vote, don't communicate. Imagine how much better our government could be -- if most Americans actually voted and got engaged with our government. For any officials taking money from companies over American voters -- go vote for their rival and send a powerful, ethical message. Absolutely within our ability to do so as Americans;
    (1) Thanks to so few Americans voting, companies can successfully lobby our elected officials AND -- they violate laws and rules in place that put firewalls in to safeguard government. There is a rule that requires 1 year break between when someone leaves their company to work in the government agency office that overseas programs that person's company is engaged in. This used to be 3 year break -- the Cheney administration changed this and every administration since, both parties, failed to fix this. 1) Restore the 3 year break, 2) Or enforce the 1 year break, which is routinely violated. 3) Demand heads of departments and political appointees: not hail from corporations that do business with said government agency and limit political appointees from corporations in being appointed in any agency (no HR or other office dares challenge policies of political appointees, they are too afraid). Limit the contracting out of government jobs -- it's a fantastic way to easily bring in ex corporate employees from these companies AND their relatives into government jobs where they can WRITE the very policies that harm the average American but maximize the profits for their company.
This is why we are subjected to harmful products and our families, ourselves, our country gets undermined. Do your research and vote your heart.

If this was allowed on ornamentals it was getting in the water and soil and thus in us. We only know what is in our water and in us when it’s specifically tested for. Water testing for example, our drinking water, does not undergo full spectrum testing. So if we were to test our soil and water as it should be done we would likely be shocked, though based on declining health, especially among children, should we really be shocked? Unfortunately, human nature is very much out of sight out of mind. We feel safe because we don’t know. Most everything in the grocery store, in our environment, is poisoned and has been for many years. If you live in California, as one example, there’s tons of DDT, in rotting barrels right off of the coast that has been there for decades. Since the Industrial Revolution we have been living in a chemical soup, before that poop was the issue. Such are the issues of fallen humanity. Greed ruins everything. 😢Thankfully at some point Father will restore creation to what He originally intended. Until then all we can do is our best. Grow what we can, avoid big ag and highly refined products and pharmaceuticals, try to find local sources/local farms that do not use pesticides, purify our water as best we can. Buy food locally in the most natural state we can find it. Trust God, not human beings, especially those the ones with power and vast resources. Human beings get love not trust.

The EWG never publishes their work in quality peer reviewed journals, and this is for good reason. Note that the lower limit of quantification is 100 parts per billion. So, values below this number mean little. What is the sampling technique? How was the instrumentation calibrated? I assume LC/MS was used for quantification, was an internal standard used to account for matrix effects? At the PPB level, I would consider +/- 500 PPB variability to be common. Also, we need to be careful with small numbers. They sound scary and people with an agenda know it. I’m actually waiting for reports that my cereal contains 200,000 parts per trillion of neurotoxic arsenic oxide. Does anyone know how many molecules of arsenic that is! In all honesty, it’s true that if everyone grew their own grains, we might be healthier, but with a planet of 13 billion people how is this possible? Crop desiccation is not just a convenience for greedy farmers and chemical companies it’s critical for the timely harvest of grains using mechanized equipment.
