Many years ago I made a beach/bath robe for my daughter using a large bath towel. I cut the hood and sleeves out of wash cloths that matched Thanks for this much easier version!! This is so adorable and so is your son!!
Vanessa thanks for your wonderful tutorials. I just finished this hooded towel one for my granddaughter that my son requested. It was so easy. I bought a very plush towel for less than regular terry cloth in the fabric store. Thanks again for all your tutorials.
I made this today with fuschia bath towel and pink wash cloths. I trimmed hood with eyelet lace and it came out so cute. Did some fancy stitching (thanks Viking sewing machine) attaching lace to hood. So easy!
I'm a beginner and I just made this for my little one. I just subscribed bcuz ur instructions are easy and u made me look like I know what I'm doing. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT & GOD BLESS!
This is my go to video for making Baby shower gifts. I do not make them very often so I need your video to remind me how to make them. This video is how I came to find you a few years ago!!! You have been such a blessing to me and taught me so many new things about sewing, cooking, soaping and taking care of myself by eating better!!!
I made two of these - one for each of my grandchildren, an they're absolutely adorable! I used some towels that I already had on hand, so it really didn't cost me anything. Thanks for a great tutorial, as always!
Love your tutorials. They are always so very easy to follow. I searched for hooded towel instructions and your video was by far the easiest to follow. I also learned how to make wristlets from watching your tutorials. So I just wanted to say thanks.
Thank you much for creating this video, it was so easy to follow. I made the hooded towel for my great niece that is 4 1/2 months old, it turned out sooooo cute! I will be making more, especially for gifts for my family.
Thank you Vanessa for yet another wonderful tutorial. I made my daughter a hooded towel from a different tutorial this morning and it didn't turn out nice at all. Then I went to your site to make one for my younger daughter and it turned out beautifully!
Thanks for this! Only thing I did different was sew the cut edge of the smaller towel to the big towel so i didn’t need to do the trim, just use the existing finished edge and was done.
@chynxx Glad you found my channel! Congrats on the new machine!! I can make some newborn hats too but have not posted a tutorial on it yet. I'll add it to my list of videos to do. Good luck with your new business!
Really like the rounded hood versus those pointed ones I see in some other tutorials. Also, I use one of those bias binding gadgets that automatically folds the binding for me -- easier on my arthritic hands! Thanks for a great tutorial!
I love your video's, I have used a few of them so far to help out with some ideas!!! I also love how you repeat some of the stuff you say a few times to make sure that we get it=) (seriously!) Can't wait to see what you post next Your baby is precious too!
@busydefyinglogic Yay! Glad to hear it! Feel free to post pictures of the projects you make from my tutorials on our Facebook page too. The link is in the video description. Happy sewing! :o)
@kuloloiopuaoi Thanks so much! I'm glad to help. If you enjoyed the tute be sure to subscribe to my channel. I post new videos every Monday.... and they just get better! :o)
Thank you I love that you curved the top of the hood, I am not a fan of the pointed hood. So cute!!

Fantastic tutorial. Just what I need to make for my Grandson's for Christmas.
Thank you so VERY much!
If you have a serger (or overlocker) you can use that to keep the edges from fraying. Otherwise, try zig zagging down the raw edges.
I just LOVE your tutorials!!! I have used SO many of them. THANK YOU!!!

Do you think your hood measurements for an older child are big enough for an adult?
for anyone sewing in cm's 10 inches converts to 25.4cm
also the material accent strip is a touch over 5cm, length is of course the length of your hood.
@aglanceatmyworld Thanks! :o)
stop that music please please please
No problem! Glad to help! :o)
