Hello 😊 Thank you so much for your three part series. I was wondering if you have any information (or can refer me to where I can find out more) about becoming a counsellor in Queensland? Thank you!
Hi, thanks so much for watching. If you would like further info, or would like to book in for a one on one consult, please check out my website www.withthegraciouslife.com ☺️
Hi, just recently came across your videos. Thank you so much. They are very informative especially since I am a Counsellor looking to move to Australia in the near future. I do not have a Psych Bachelor but only a Masters in Counselling with a couple of years of experience as a school counsellor. Would it be difficult to find a job as a counsellor in Australia with only these? I am looking to do a PhD or Doctorate either in Counselling or Psychology. Would you have any recommendations or advice for the same? Many thanks
Hey Tisha! Thanks so much for watching my videos and for reaching out ☺️ I’m actually working on a project for Counsellor’s and Counsellor’s to-be looking to get into the field, I hope to share more information within this project. In the meantime, in regards to your questions, you actually don’t need to be registered as a Counsellor to work as a Counsellor in Australia. So you could potentially get a counselling job with your current qualification, however when finding counselling jobs, they look mainly at experience in the field. Definitely doing further post grad study would help, however there will be plenty of social work/case management jobs that could appeal to you. Specific counselling jobs can be very competitive to get into, so the more education and experience you have the better. Hope that helps! 😊
hey, im about to study a diploma in counselling and if i end up enjoying it i'll continue into a bachelors in counselling. The aim is to tie it into art therapy which is my main interest work wise. Which do you think is better- a degree in counselling or social work? Id like to work with kids, families, relationships, not necessarily with the focus of healing trauma but more so understanding and discovering layers in people and our relationships. Which one would fit better and offer more variety of work for me? i'm also not too interested in going down the path of research or science so i don't think a degree in psychology would suit me. Thanks for your insight, and yeah makes sense that work experience matters too
Hi Mishy, thanks so much for watching. Based on what you’ve explained, I would definitely recommend that you go on to study Social Work 😊 if you would like to chat further, I offer 1:1 consulting sessions via Zoom. Feel free to email mayanthi@withthegraciouslife.com if you would like more info 😊
Great video.
Can you please make another video with challenges, experiences, financial growth and growth overall
Thanks so much! I’ll definitely make more videos in regards to all of my experiences ☺️
