Unbelievably timely. Personally, at 42, I'm on a journey of self discovery, and rebuilding. No major tragedy spurned it, but stepping outside of my reality, and not being pleased with who I have become as a person, and where my family is as a result. Its also based in normalcy bias. If, we dont have checks and balances in our lives( which no one really wants) we can descend into a self made reality which doesn't reflect truth. It often revolves around comfort. And the truth is often very uncomfortable. Thank you gentlemen.

Hey Jocko, good stuff. Most people live by way of ego driven ideology. Except its not living, but dying. Living starts with spiritual fitness, which is to trust beyond your ability to see and understand. Reality is what it is, regardless of what we think it is, or want it to be. Action is the language of reality, not words. But most people treat words as real, and reality as something they have to fix. Which is insane.

I was never that compulsive, but I was deeply worried about the war and had several moments where I was absolutely terrified at the thought that it may escalate into a full world war. But after a while I think that fear just got used up and I actually had a few weeks where I (probably) wasn't capable of feeling fear at all, even at a moment I thought I was in acute life threatening danger I didn't really feel much. And I also didn't experience pain the normal way, normally I would feel rather intense pain when getting vigorously scratched by our dog (its hot it greets people), but then I felt no pain at all. By now I think Im pretty much normal again

    Do you want to “roll”
    and try the class
I rolled with a blue belt lady about 140 lbs, note I am at that time 220 lbs and yes she gently destroyed me in all 3 rounds of 5 minutes
Then the couch explained to me a few basic moves for beginners like guard
He ask again do you want to roll again of course I said yes

People who are not insane and or delusional tend to be people who have experienced many hardships in the past and have built a strong character and developed extreme amounts of courage. Sadly most people in the United States have not experienced much suffering sorrow sadness or true pain therefore leaving them susceptible to believing pretty much anything because they're afraid to leave their beautiful little bubble.

True in part. Though this seems to be a characteristic of first world, well developed countries, there is more to the story. From what I’ve experienced, trials and insurmountable odds of life on the ‘other side of the tracks’ do not always refine and hone the goodness within a lot of people. If your influence is bad, your surroundings pretty much dictate your reactive decisions to your current situation. I refer to poverty stricken areas of our inner cities like Chicago, or even across the border like Juarez Mexico. It’s “when in Rome” under whoever’s gun you live if your raising was shit. All be it, it is not an excuse for said individuals but its a no contest route readily taken by many.

Don’t live for self. When your on your death bed you will realize your whole life was about self image and selfish ambition. Once you are set in life you must then devote it to helping others. So many kids are out here suffering with no one to show them the way. All the adults you see walking the streets mumbling to themselves and homeless had no one to guide them in life. Be a guiding light. That way you can die with a smile knowing you gave it all you could in this life

Mad because... everything that man does in his symbolic world is an attempt to deny and overcome his grotesque fate. To be "crazy" as men often call females, men detach from females in a relationship, instead of listening and talking every detail out tocommunicate. If we learn to take time everyday regardless of the lack of time, we could save families. Women are reasonable when they are respected equally in opinions and ideas. My experience is I love getting male perspectives and making my decisions. We have a supportive marriage even when we disagree with the other's decision. We do not rule over one another, men are NOT the leaders of marriage, unless a woman allows him. It is a choice regardless of the religious teachings. Thank you for your opinions, I respect your insights into leadership, I have your books. I bought them to remind myself how to lead MY life not his. 😉🇺🇸🌹

I think it's more practical to judge insanity on its level; otherwise, it becomes a useless word. You could say it's impossible to define that level, but I've never heard anyone argue over whether someone's being insane or not, like the bald vs going bald or heap vs stack thing.

I agree. We need a distinguish between people who are "real insane" and "everyone is a little bit insane sometimes". This video kind of made me question if I'm insane, but not really. By the standards described in this video, probably some of the time. But they are also really high standards, like being 100% in aware control of your actions all the time. To me it just sounds unrealistic.

Bingo - I can tell you this: Just one trip to the grocery store, assuming it's a middle of the road store, will accurately capture the current status of the citizenry. I can feel the tension, anxiety, see/hear the insanity ( I mean, we STILL have people wearing masks lol - because can "never be too safe"), etc... You see the body language, walking speed/cadence, parking lot behavior, how cars are parked, condition of vehicles (washed/unwashed/bashed in/tires worn down), composition of people - singles vs. groups... It's actually kind of overwhelming and after just a single trip - I need a BREAK from people, because I just SEE It. It's WILD... and really difficult to describe in words.
I can say without a doubt: Things are going down a path where anxiety is increasing at an increasing rate. For me, this is why I get away from the insane people and just go spend most of my day out in nature, not even on trails, but down some random drainage/area where zero people go... Nature = Peace, and with peace, you can find the Truth, not "their truth" or some other variable form of moral relativism that pushes affirmation soothing.
Conformity - This is basically the end result of the echo chamber - It's everywhere - you live in a mountain town, all of a sudden everyone has the same political preferences, they all have beards, they all drive the same make/model of trucks (and god forbid if you wash your truck!! talk about an act of atrocity!)... I've traveled the west and have lived in several towns and they're all the same - tribalism - it's truly too bad because a lot of these people will say: "Yeah maaaaaaaaaaaaan, I accept people for who they are maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan" but - you'll notice all of the people they associate with have nearly identical perspectives on life, women, vehicles, style, trump, clinton, biden, the UN, etc... Try NOT being the COG in the machine in those towns! Try bringing up topics like: The federal reserve - fiscal vs. monetary policy; the world economic forum; antitrust legislation, etc - Really - The main goal is to bring up topics that transcend the typical: "Us vs. Them" mentality.
    and
Just watch - Watch as these people short circuit - They do not actually: 1) Know anything 2) Don't know what "talking points" to repeat because they know nothing, and 3) Ego is so high in the sky - that they won't admit they don't know "much" and in turn, are so prideful, they won't even ask you to share what you may know.
So then - one can conclude: MOST (that means "not all not all not all not all not all" but most) people just want to "Fit in." They want to be "accepted maaaaaaan" by those around them. On one had this may result in larger friend groups to fall back on, but on the other hand, the "friends" they thought they had may be verymuch low quality and disloyal when it comes down to hard times in life. REAL friends stand their ground, question, think for themselves, question more/research more, are sponges seeking new information, not just affirmation and "okay movin on bro!".
Conformity in my opinion (and I'm probably alone on this topic) - is the enemy - because - what it takes away is a lot more than what it gives. Those that wish to do harm love to exploit the human need for company/tribalism/in group preferences - and that's what tyrants LOVE to exploit - "oh you cannot keep or obtain a job unless you: go to college/get the vax/and love tests that only measure regurgitating information, not understanding/questioning/creative thought/critical thinking/analysis.
Essentially what we have now is a Lowest common denominator in terms of how society is being reorganized. What is "best" for the Less intelligent people is being applied to everyone. God help you if you are one standard deviation above the average IQ... and worse: When those around you would rather conform to "fit in" and to sooth their emotional state, rather than understand 4-6 moves ahead of what's coming down the pipeline in the chess game. That "may" ruin their day, and "may" make them think... and we don't want that... "naw bruh! good vibesz bruh!!". This indifference and avoidance of reality is EVERYWHERE Now - you have people with food drug alcohol ideological subscriptions on "auto-renew" without ever a moment where they have the minute desire to stick their head out of the sand and look to see if anything has changed.
Emotionalism is a trap. This is why it's been sold/branded/packaged in the form of conformity, pandemic/climate change/existential threats. "We'll all die if we don't do: _______" (insert: whatever benefits the corporations who fund the NGO's who push longterm corporate monopoly formation that transcends the concept of individual sovereign nations).
Just simply "attempting" to convey ideas to "a lot" of people is impossible because they've been trained to have a 1.5 - 3 second attention span, and then: "Dude BRO, too long didn't read dude bro!! bruh!!"

Well said I do my best to be patient with people but even I have trouble.
Agreed about the grocery store and friend groups. People are obsessed with feeling good at all times god forbid they have a challenging conversation. Sad go see.

    • @07wrxtr1
      @07wrxtr1 2 роки тому

@@chickenbroski99 I'm convinced at this point it's a combination of IQ / Intellectual decline, and emotionalism. The funny/hilarious part: "They" want everyone to "just empathize" with their needs, like a needy/demanding child, yet - they rarely if ever - display empathy by simply listening to any viewpoints/ideas/or even just mere "hints" at concepts that are not identical to whatever they have subscribed to. This then brings in the idea of the top of Maslows hierarchy around "Self Actualization" - and so - it makes perfect sense that those in charge: The UN / WEF - found that the most efficient and effective way to subvert the mind, is to start young via the public "education" (lol) system - whereby, conformity/complacency/compliance is rewarded/encouraged/fostered > creativity/questioning/curiosity.
Naysayers - "Yeah but dude bro! they let kids be whatever they want" and sure - that's correct, however, it's only limited to all of the gender and ideological prerogatives set fourth by the UN/ Bill Gates / Klaus WEF sociopaths - where - the real goal is to reduce population GROWTH in developed nations whereby labor costs are higher. This is why the key strategy is curtailment of family values, while simultaneously allowing immigration from over the border. Essentially, not only is national sovereignty and identity displaced, but also leads to a lower cost labor pool. A nice "bonus" if you will - is that it also builds further distrust among the population which allows for even more subversion and control - by both corporate funded NGO's / WEF / UN - and they have the best sales pitch: "..If you don't follow our instructions and definition of sustainability, we'll make sure you starve and are removed from the system - under the guide of a health emergency, climate change, or simply being cancelled."
Sadly it will not be until after Mid-Terms that all the people that do that move: "...Dude bro, too long didn't read bro!!" and "Dude Bro, you're like, BRO! you're one of those conspiracy people!! dude...bruh..."
Most are somewhere along the spectrum of grieving right now: Denial, anger, bargaining.... and avoiding acceptance. It's not until "acceptance" occurs that a plan of action can be put in place. However - they have the super committed BETA males in many agencies sold on their trophy wives, "rimz bro!", and the whole "lifestyle" thing, that they'll happily work to essentially piss on their own shoes and not know it. They're essentially as disposable, but just slightly higher IQ useful idiots...

Neurosis as in a compulsive behavior like mentioned in the video is different than psychosis, the forms of distress are different. -- the overall point/concept is something great he's getting at. That our behaviors whether neurotic or psychotic can contort our realities. It could be that neurotic behaviors are intertwined as well to develop certain levels of psychosis when considering someone like John Forbes Nash, in which for example his compulsive fixation in the depth of his mathematics fostered psychosis.

We all believe our interpretations of reality intensely, and we want other people to join us in our interpretations to make us feel secure. We believe our interpretations are reality and if we can get enough votes we will prove it.
Reality is that which when ignored doesn't change or go away.

Great information Jocko. It’s funny though people don’t realize what your saying isn’t something new. Wisdom came from God before we were created. I wish they would read the Proverbs and see what applied today. A literally omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient being gave us all the information and wisdom on how to apply that information.
Not sure if you’re a believer or not Jocko but I would love to hear a podcast on your thoughts about God. Maybe soon. Take care.
