I had a crippling fear of coasters growing up and refused to get on one. My friends all planned a road trip to Carowinds and I was invited so I didn’t want to chicken out and be a party pooper and this was my first coaster yesterday. Gotta say.... I have no clue what I was afraid of. Coasters and incredibly fun. We ended up going on nearly all the coasters at the park after going on Fury twice. My only caveat were loops. I still had to close my eyes when I saw a loop coming on but other than that, I think I love coasters now.
Same here. I love roller coasters but the only thing that scares me is going upside down
@AbGalatic at very start going down the steep part is way worse than upside down. Upside down is very fun but high speeds are not fun it makes you feel like your brain is getting squished and moved out of your head. But everyone is different so yeah
@Kenzalishus Peer pressure is a great way to get over it. I got over it on my senior trip to Cedar Point, and i started the day scared to death to ride Gatekeeper and by the end of the day i was a coaster nut who wanted to ride everything in the park. I never would’ve gotten on most of the stuff there had the rest of my group not already been doing it. They convinced me to ride Millenium which is about the same height as this ride and i was terrified but once you get through the line and over the first drop it’s the best feeling in the world. You just need to push yourself or be with people who will push you
@Kenzie Waltz just be brave man. I went to islands of adventure with my friends but i didnt want to be a chicken so i just rode every coaster. No regrets!

Kaydn Burns There’s nothing wrong with what he said. It’s true, this is a top of the line coaster. Even if most people in this comment section are gp, I don’t see how this comment shows that.
Andy and Vic that’s just objectively false. There’s nothing “top” about it. It doesn’t stand out in any way other than height. It doesn’t have any substantial airtime, high g force or rapid intense direction changes. It’s the definition of average. There’s nothing special about it. This coaster is a combination of all the tamest elements in all the other gigas out there.
Kaydn Burns I haven’t ridden it, but based on other people’s opinions, I think this would definitely be considered a top tier coaster. Taylor Bybee, whose opinion I trust the most, ranks it third behind just SteVe and El Toro.
That being said, even if you don’t think this ride as that great doesn’t mean other people can’t. There no objectivity about it. The whole topic is subjective. That guy is free to think however he wants about different coasters, and doesn’t need you calling him “GP” for having a different opinion than you.

It's honestly alot more advanced and instead of just hills and turns it features a really smooth treble clef
This Roller Coaster is awesome! I rode it 5 times and I absolutely loved it! I can't wait to go back!
When I used to play RCT3, my favorite roller coaster model to customize was the Hyper Twister Coaster. I once made a roller coaster probably longer than Steel Dragon 2000, but not as tall as Fury 325, and utilized the Giovanola trains. However, I later on made another one. That time, I utilized the ,B&M trains. Yes, the drop on Fury 325 is pretty steep, but the one I made actually dropped them at 90 degrees, and they went down that drop while twisting 450 degrees, reaching a top speed of 97 mph. Plus, I made it stand at 330 feet.
no surprise it won the best coaster of the year, it's 100% the best coaster on the planet, no other coaster is in the same category as Fury, Great job Carowinds

Mason i dont think its the most fun coaster but it is definitely one of the most intense, i also liked the intimidator alot

I honestly love super tall/fast rollercoasters that don't contain inversions. I know some people might think I'm crazy but I actually think inversions are overrated *shrug*. You can't even really see what's going on when you're upside down anyway. Fast banked turns, drops, and feeling Gs are much more interesting than being upside down

They are MUCH less thrilling than a fall or drop coaster, the only one that feels cool tho is veloicoaster

Went this past monday and rode this amazing machine 23 times, 13 of which were marathon by sitting in the train every time we went into the station. Lines werent bad so they didn't make me get up. Best roller coaster ive ever ridden so far.
Going to Carowinds tomorrow! So excited, especially for this ride!!!🎉🎉🎉

When you're on the ride that turn around and dive into the tunnel makes the sheer scale of the ride so apparent. Feels like you're in an airplane and that tunnel is MUCH wider in real life.

Is it just me or does it seem really illogical to have a B&M Giga Coaster in the same park where they built Intimidator not too many years before? Seems pretty strange.

Moving from Ohio to Charlotte, I absolutely loved Millennium Force at Cedar Point and now cannot wait to ride Fury 325 at Carowinds!
Since I was on vacation last month, I visited Charlotte, NC to see my 1st cousin (who is now a permanent resident there) and he recommended me this awesome ride @ Cedar Fair (or is it now Carowinds?). WOW! The drops, angles and turns were Intense, just the way I like it. I tried to get my partner to go on it with me, but said, "Me ride on that? I don't think so. You'll be fine on the ride solo. I'll just stay down here and watch" lol. Having the 2015 Platinum Pass really pays off :-)

Hornets couldn't be a better theme for this coaster in charlotte . The basketball team is the hornets, and it all started back in the American Revolution in charlotte soldiers were always hiding in the trees and bushes and every time the British came through they said. "It's like a hornets nest" and that's why everything is hornets

I am very young and I Just rode this yesterday It was AMAZING I put my hands up the whole time because I felt like I was flying I don't care what anyone says this is my favorite roller coaster at carowinds it is GENIUS!!!
I rode this a bunch of times today and it was awesome! The drop was amazing, I believe around 95mph and like a 6second drop (I counted o.o) But if anyone is going here I so recommend it!

TooMany Gamez Millennium Force has been my favorite roller coaster since it was built. But if Im honest with myself, I think this finally tops it. It is a fantastic coaster. Carowinds really hit a home run with this one. That sideways airtime just before the tunnel is crazy. CRAZY. Love it. Im moving to Charlotte from Ohio, so it makes losing Cedar Point in my backyard a little easier to swallow.
Timmytommy2 Finally rode it a couple weeks back and yeah I rode like 10 times. This is a beast. I does get a little bumpy in spots due to how fast it's going but that didn't bother me much but it did my partners so I had to ride it a couple times by myself. But this ride kicks all sorts of ass. That turning climb that drops you sideways and into a tunnel under the entrance of the park is amazing.

I rode this coasted a few days ago...the beam is wayyyy bigger in real life than it looks in this video.The beam Is pretty far away from the riders even if you have your hands up.

I have been to a lot of parks. I agree with you. This was my dream coaster. Huge B and M hyper/Giga coaster. Love speed and huge hill. I prefer just a bit of airtime not a lot. Awesome. If you want airtime Diamondback at King's Island is for you. Defiantly DB has more than Intimidator.

+HammyHamster It doesn't matter how small your FIRST roller coaster is, heck, mine was Flight of the Hippogrypgh (also at Universal Studios). What matters is which roller coasters you are willing to go on now, and I think you should try Fury 325. If you like Intimidator, I'm sure Fury isn't much worse (i've been on very similar coasters to both).

My new favorite roller coaster. The first drop is insane. At the 1:20 mark you experience about a full second of weightlessness.
At 1:40, that pole looks a lot closer than it is.
My favorite is intiminador 305 the drop is pretty much the same
+Zach Taylor bruh u have no idea, this roller coaster is one of the most intense rides in the world
+Log And looks no where near as intense as intimidator 305. Not enough g's for me plus doesn't look like too much airtime which really makes the ride for that type of coaster. Just to put it in perspective I don't think I breathed at all on intimidator, the raw speed and crushing g's are an amazingly intense experience. This just looks almost too smooth with long sweeping turns, after the first drop it looks ehh
PC Principle This coaster isn't very intense.
But there's only one real drop on Intimidator 305. It's not as fast, not as far of drop.
The only thing better about Intimidator 305 is the lift system.
Although I like both, I still think that the Intimidator is still scarier. I mean, The Fury is really smooth and the first time I went on it I was surprised when I instantly threw my hands up when going down the hill or whatever (which I never do for rides unless I ride it a couple of times). The Intimidator keeps on going up and down and your stomach keeps dropping. Still recommend both though.

Rode this 5 times yesterday before i had to change to my work clothes. This ride is one intense coaster, especially from B&M. On the 5th ride i greyed out on the drop and had problems keeping my hands up. Weird thing is i've ridden more intense coasters like B:TR and have never grey out on it, but this crazy giga can. Either way this ride is crazy and is filled with airtime. This ride is a +1 for Carowinds.

First roller coaster I had been on in some years and I was always one to shy away from the tough ones but Fury 325 was fun. Something about the restraints being so simple also helped it feel better and free. No shoulder restraints, just some good old fashioned over the waist locks.

Looking forward to hearing what the Great Robb Alvey has to say about Fury, and maybe your opinion on how it compares to the other Giga's? Maybe it's just me, but IMO B&M is doing it right and the best over 300'.

I rode this thing yesterday 11 times and it is a awesome roller coaster, it is one of the best I have ever rode, also in the night it lights up green and blue.

i have family in Charlotte and we always go to Carowinds and i legit can not wait to ride this all summer.
I rode this for the first time yesterday and they stuck me on front row. it was so much fun and you can feel every bit of that 95mph. I also sat in the back which was extremely fast.
I've been waiting for the release of this coaster ever since I heard my school band is going there for a music festival, and after seeing the real ride in action, I can't hold my excitement!
