You're a genius! I know how hard it is to notice all the details and learn your own language and then teach it to non-native speakers. I actually learned a lot more in your videos than I ever did in school. You're the best English teacher I've ever known. Thank you so much!
THERE IS ALSO SOMETHING CALLED THE LINKING R IN SOME VARIETIES OF SOUTHERN BRITISH ENGlSH. For example: the idea of Would be like: the eye dear ov Excellent video Adam!
Adam you have no idea how useful this video was for me. I've had some issues in pronunciation due to these small details. I've noticed that the article "the" and preposition "to" have both a similar pattern in terms of pronunciation to the preposition "of". So, here goes my suggestion for future videos, natural native pronunciation for "the" and "to". Thank you!
In phonetic, "of" is written "ʌv". I never heard a native saying "of" like "off" (only french students say it like that because they see an f and not a v). Maybe in some accents we heard an f, but that's all. It's "ov", not "off".
Hello teacher, we thank you. It is not easy for not native speakers and you are soo patiences. However you are very clear. I see that letter V after other letters needs more attention for hearing from speakers.
Would these hints be made by an English-teacher from Oxford as well? Where is the transition to slang? I appreciate this lesson as an aid to understanding and not about simulating a native speaker. In Romance languages every letter makes a very big difference. As part of their development, the English language has already been simplified and perhaps the Northamericans one day will be talking only in a few numbers ;-) I ‘m amused by my own anger at this video because these are the facts that prevent me from understanding my English friends as soon as they forget my presence... Greetings from a German in Spain
Awesome! I like so much such lessons when you dive into language aspects that deeply! Thank you! Very interesting! There is no other sources like engVid com which can provide such interesting material in my opinion.
Thank you so much Sir, I really appreciate your fabulous lessons, but I get confused about using the "Rather" I would be thankful if you made us a vedio showing through ways of using the word" Rather" Thank you! David 😊
Thanks adam. But I have a question, is it a good idea to use these type of pronunciation methods in IELTS speaking test? In addition, should we have to prepare for these type of listen test?
Hi Adam. could you please tell me if the Native English is rush spoken? for example: when they say, Did you eat? "Jeet", answer, Not yet " Na chet". I don't know, it's too hard, " I dunno, stoo hard". Do you want to dance? " Wanna dance"?. Let's go, "Sko!" etc. Thank you because you're the best and a excellent teacher.
Great lesson!!! I appreciate all these years your help to teach us so many lessons Mr Adam for learn this wonderful language, I hope more lessons like this, cause It's important try to sound like a native speaker, gretting from Managua, Nicaragua see you soon.
