I will not make it with any other rum but Bacardi as long as my Dad is alive. See the other video to find out why. But I did try gold vs silver in my coquito. Here is what we thought.

I love it my friend gave a recipe for for 1t 1t1t 1 I didn’t measure the cinnamon but I re did it
I used the Malibu coconut rum cause that’s I had it gave it more flavor.

I’m making coquito again this year and instead of white rum I’m using Bacardi spiced rum

Hi, this year I did the egg yolks and to be honest I found no difference really just an extra unnecessary step (my opinion of course) I saw a recipe that required 2 cans of evaporated milk instead of one and I decided to make it (I start with the coquito on thanksgiving so I’m looking for a little less sweet) it’s marinated now so I will let you know if it’s good. What about using Malibu Coconut Rum? I was thinking of trying that this year. Otherwise, yes I've always used the white Bacardi.
I think it would be too much coconut.

The parents are well. Thanks for asking. Honestly, Bacardi was great to us while my Dad worked there and still took care of him after retirement. I loved growing up in their grounds in PR.
My family always use Bacardi .. not sure what they used in Puerto Rico but in Chicago .. it’s Bacardi …
A lot of people use Don Q in Puerto Rico. I'm a Bacardi girl.
