I’m kind of thinking this is more of a web run operation. With the focus of the system being more based on categorizing (connecting) the different cases instead of understanding them. But I do think the eye is tied into the webs plan (captured perhaps) With Sam’s unnecessary reports giving the eye more strength!

As a bulimic… the never ending hunger regardless of quantity or quality of food, the less than edible concoctions, the grotty conditions of where you eat, the heavy fullness after, and the battle with yourself to stop. Some _very_ interesting developments this episode! Let’s get into the details! 😁 1. It’s nice that the fight between Alice and Sam seems to have cooled down enough for them to joke together again, and that they didn’t drag it out further, unnecessarily. We need that team solidarity, because we’ve seen in TMA what happens when everyone is divided and not talking to each other. Everyone needs to keep watching each other’s backs! 2. Oh Alice, you play like you still think Gwen is annoying or whatever, but we know the truth. You bonded, you care about her, admit it! 😏 3. Oh that statement was… **shudder** 😖 Very well written, but oof! I’m glad I wasn’t eating during it, and I’m glad I have a fairly strong stomach, because otherwise I’m sure I would have actually gagged. I know most Protocol statements don’t fit nicely into Smirke’s 14, but that was Corruption, _to a T!_ (with maybe a dash of Spiral and Web for the confusing maze of streets to get to the restaurant, and the compulsion trapping them in place, telling them to keep eating, despite every natural instinct screaming at them to run) 4. Alice actually listened to this statement! She said before that she usually tunes them out and just reads them through for keywords afterwards, and she usually has her headphones in for statements playing on other people’s computers. But she listened to this one, and was able to talk to Sam about it afterwards! So, I guess she’s definitely taking the suspicions about the computers seriously, and is keeping an ear out for warning signs now. 5. COLIN’S BACK! YAY!!!! 😃 ….Oh… Oh, he’s not doing so well… Colin? Buddy? Can we maybe put the big hammer down for a moment there, bud? 😥 You are valid, and you have very legitimate concerns, my friend; the computers _are_ listening to everything. But… maybe don’t go smashing government property and menacing your coworkers without a proper plan to not get _arrested?!_ 6. Colin, look. I know you _really_ don’t want whatever is in the computers and other electronics to hear you, but please… _I_ really want to hear what you know! And I can only do that if the computer hears you! So _please,_ just explain everything you’ve been doing while you’ve been holed up away from all electronics on your “break”! And, if you could be so kind, please explain it, nice and clear, preferably near a working electronic device that can pick up what you’re saying, for the audience! _TELL US YOUR SECRETS, SOFTWARE MAN!!!_ 7. SAM! You and Colin need to stop getting into physical altercations with each other! First you wrestle with Colin when he tried to grab your phone to destroy it, back in episode 7, and now you’re trying to _tackle_ a very obviously distraught and unstable man wielding a _very large hammer?!_ I know you were concerned for Alice’s safety, which is why you grabbed the hammer and tried to get Colin to let go, but you are not a brawler, my guy! You’re Noodle-arms McGee! Alice has called you scrawny on multiple occasions, including this very episode! What are you doing?! You really don’t have any self-preservation instincts, do you?! 😓 8. Lena is _pissed!_ I definitely think she cares about keeping her people alive, even if she keeps them at arms-length, emotionally. She’s weird, but I don’t think she’s properly evil. That said, she could also mainly be pissed at the loss of the computers and the damage to the server. There’s the very important visit from the Minister coming up, and things are getting messier and messier around here in the meantime. Girl is _stressed._ 9. If Colin has been arrested, and is in jail now… there’s _plenty_ of surveillance equipment there that might be able to pick up some interesting tidbits from him. I’m sure he’ll still censor what he says, since he knows he’s being watched, but I like to think we’ll be hearing more from him now that he can’t hide away from technology anymore. 👀 10. Lena asks what Sam thought he was doing tackling Colin (rightly so), Sam says he was worried Colin might hurt Alice, and Alice chuckles quietly to herself at that. Hoo boy… you’re not helping Alice get over her lingering crush on you, Sam. 🤦🏻 11. Sam… SAM! Don’t go spilling your suspicions about the computers in front of Lena! I might not think she’s evil anymore, but I still think she’s shady as hell, and I don’t know if you should be bringing her attention to what you know/suspect right now! Who knows who she reports to! 12. Celia’s repeated “family emergencies” might get her fired! I really hope she figures out what’s going on with her sleep-teleporting soon, before that happens, because I still have suspicions that quitting or being fired from the OIAR isn’t as simple as it seems, considering Teddy’s misfortune since quitting. 😥 13. Celia ended up near Oxford? (according to the transcript) Interesting… I’m going to have to check her past teleportation incidents, to see if there’s a pattern to where she ends up, at least from what we can tell: • Episode 11: Celia wakes up on the side of a motorway somewhere, sometime in the afternoon. Location not specified, either in the transcript or via dialogue. However, she was only a little bit late to work that day, so she probably wasn’t too far? • Episode 17: Celia wakes up on train tracks, sometime in the afternoon. Exact location not specified in the transcript, although she later tells Sam that she went to Oxford. She missed her movie date with Sam, but apparently was able to make it back in time for her shift, so maybe she was in Oxford the first time too? • Episode 18: Celia calls out of work with a “childcare emergency”. She contacts Georgie, to have her watch Jack while Celia makes her way home from wherever she ended up. It apparently took her a while to get home, as she seems to teleport in the afternoon, when she’s sleeping, and she apparently got home at night, and she missed her shift, so she must have gone far. Exact location not mentioned. • This episode, Episode 25: Celia calls out of work with another “childcare emergency” and she wasn’t sure when she’d get in. At the end, she’s at a train station near Oxford, at night. So wherever she teleported to, it was far enough away that she only made it to the train station by nightfall (assuming she still teleported in the afternoon). So, we have at least 2 confirmed trips to Oxford, and the rest are unconfirmed. In TMA, Hilltop Road was in Oxford, so that was where the rift was in the TMA universe, and it’s likely where it is in the TMP universe as well, considering some of the statements surrounding there. Do we think the rift is somehow trying to pull Celia back through or something? Like, since she’s (almost certainly) the Celia from the TMA universe, her presence is maybe throwing off some sort of balance, and the rift is trying to correct that by sending her back to her proper universe? If the TMP universe is all about alchemy, and alchemy is very focused around balance, it might make sense… 🤔 I’m just throwing out theories though, I could be completely off. lol
I definitely think that the rift is trying to pull Celia back in. If the thing with her teleportation was just that she keeps ending up near Oxford, surely it would be _way_ more convenient to just move there. The fact that she doesn't tells me that being closer to the rift might actually be even worse (ie, she'll get zapped back to post-post-apocalyptic TMA)

You'd think the IT guy would know that in order to properly neutralize electronics, you need a big magnet, but i guess big hammers are a bit more accessible. Hammers are certainly effective - in fact, unless you need to make sure every scrap of data is wiped, a hammer is a perfectly acceptable tool to destroy a hard drive. The other components of a computer just need to be broken, not erased, for which a touch with too much static electricity build up would be effective, let alone a hammer. An IT guy would know computers are fragile things

STOP! Hammer time! Another week, another episode breakdown. Nice to see the tension between Alice and Sam easing off a bit, its also hilarious that Celia already knows Alice so well. As for the Case, it seems to be a Flesh/Corruption tag team. The themes of eating disorders and the descriptions of the food growing in Tom's belly are very Flesh while all the insects and gross food are obviously Corruption. Side note: I can't be the only one who pictured the burger looking like the Nasty Patty from SpongeBob. Nothing jumped out at me as connecting to the overarching plot so its probably just a one off Case, maybe we'll get to meet the cook later though. The Post-Case stuff is very interesting though. Colin gave Freddy a few bonks and got arrested for it. While they obviously say it to calm Colin down, I do think Sam and Alice genuinely agree that Freddy should be destroyed since it didn't do the lie detector noise. And Colin is right when he says Freddy can hear them from anywhere since it can connect with seemingly any technology. Also, I've got a nasty feeling that Colin is gonna appear as a Case at some point as it wouldn't surprise me if he gets disappeared by some Section 31 type police or Starkwell agents after this incident. The destruction of the terminals and server damage could also alert ERROR to the OIAR's location since I'm pretty sure Freddy is in some way connected to The Eye which ERROR is almost undoubtably an avatar of. Last thing, I've had a bit of a theory going that each terminal is giving personalised Cases to its users: Sam's gives him stuff about the Magnus Institute and feeds his curiosity, Celia's gives her stuff on people crossing into different realities and Alice's seems to be giving her stuff about being watched (such as the one about the guy with the inverted face watching another guy sleep). This would explain why Lena was so insistent that Alice doesn't mess with Sam's terminal, she doesn't want them suspecting anything. Assuming Sam's and possibly Alice's terminals were destroyed, I wonder if we'll see a drastic change in their Cases going forwards.
Your theory have sense! Like the system feed the curiosity towards the fears and things they are more interested, like a paranormal algorithm I guess, but if "the thing" can move and pass between any technology then isn't properly " in the computer neither the servers" Soo Collins tried but even if he made it, it probably doesn't stop FREDDY, but maybe like the declarations/cassettes in TMA destroy the technology that have the cases could debilitate it idk [Edit]: after hearing again I believe Collin understood it, if the thing is connected or IS in the servers or the servers perse he can destroy it, but if not then...he make a pause, he understood that is thats the case then he can't stop it no matter what

No joke, when I downloaded and listened to the early access for this episode, the dedication at the start had me shooting out of my chair and running to the kitchen to rescue my tea that had been drawing for 20 minutes XDD
I started watching this as I went to get lunch, as I approach the shop the video describes finding the Hungry man Bar and Grill. I get my food and start getting back home then as I get home and start eating my food the food review came on. I think it's a testament to both my gross factor and my hunger that I still ate it. Also the way he describes feeling hungry reminds me of how t̷̝̾h̷̺̀e̷̱̎ ̷̳̈͆a̸͚̔r̴͚͖̿̐c̶͎̝̎̔h̴̨͎̄ì̴͈͔̉v̶̲́ī̷̉ͅș̴͕̈ẗ̸̰͙́̉ described the feeling of "hunger" when he didn't feed his dark patron t̶͎̀̂h̶̼̦͋̒è̸͇̕ ̷̬̃w̶̲̽̊ã̷̠̋t̴̨͓͑c̵̟̄̉h̷̢̻̒e̶̱̾͗r̸͈̘̓̈́.

Maybe I'm wrong but with every time we hear John or Martin's voice, initially they start off as a bit robotic and then as their narration progresses they start sounding more and more human (themselves) 🤔🤔 In this episode Martin sounded like himself right off from the start (expect where he was reading the email titles) Wonder if it signifies anything
I wonder if it’s just because the robotic voice would be hard to listen to for a long period of time and would distract from the voice actor’s performance. So they tune it out and then back in to signal that we’ve “returned” from the story-within-a-story.

[Some TMA spoilers] This is definitely associated with meat, the fear of being eaten. You can tell that much from the way it is described. But where I find it differs from TMA is that, once again, this case relies on human nature, not esoteric nature. Hunger. The need to eat. Indulgence. Overindulged eating regardless of what was being consumed, regardless of how it will affect your body, no longer even feeding the hunger but feeding the need to eat. No control to stop. The more you consume, the more it consumes you. Consumption. I hereby deem this case a matter of indulgence and consumption
I pretty much agree on this, as i think the community is preassuming that the same 14 fears are the primary categories. I think that this new universe is configured in several different ways, with other major themes. I can recall metamorfosis (as in the one self changing a fear very associated with gothic literature like werewolfs and vampires), consumption (the child and this one), others like ink5oul i could not point to it
@@e5f6ohuyd4s9 theres gambling (like Derrian with the money app, and that guy with the dice), anger and rage (like the two other Derrians who met each other), theres the painter who mutilated herself to "perfect" herself, I would also say that the violin could be consumption as the more it is played the more it takes from the player, it feeds, yet the player has the compulsive need to feed it anyway. So a lot of it is compulsive or straight up unhinged facets of human nature, just losing all self control and giving in to it no matter what the consequences are.

This has to be my favorite ep of TMP so far. TMA and TMP usually don't scare me (Visuals scare me, but not audio), but this ep hit right in my horror spot. I love Magnus content so much, I do, but the audio clarity of the end makes me wish the audio effects the rest of the episodes normally have would be toned down a bit so I can understand what everyone is saying better.
Okay, I haven't listened to the ep yet, but I felt like putting this here because this happens to be the ep I'm on. I'm nearly certain that these are all new Fears, with similar presentations but different foundations. I feel like this was kind of confirmed with the recent sighting of Jon "Many Eyes" Sims and his handy-dandy tape recorder. It seems like Jon absorbed all the other Fears in his universe, and is kind of automatically using them on some people, making them die from their worst fears and then giving their post mortem confessions. Another point in this catagory is the ep with the guard in the skyline restaurant or whatever. The descriptions of the people sound a lot like the Extinction, including their hunger, but it had a slightly different vibe. Almost like the goal itself was to feed (not unlike the Not!Baby) rather than some post apocalypse thing. Plus, the people who are hopping universes seems to be linked to a kind of existential fear of oneself, and the life you could have lived. Also, I think this is why Celia is having a difficult time adjusting. She's still working off an outdated monster list, making her inquiries lead to the wrong places. I'd also now like to add the disclamer that I'm not really active in this community. I just listen to these on my own and I don't look for or stumble upon anyone's theories about TMA/TMP. This is just me, on my own, sharing my thoughts.

I know most Protocol statements don’t fit nicely into Smirke’s 14, but that was Corruption, _to a T!_ (with maybe a dash of Spiral and Web for the confusing maze of streets to get to the restaurant, and the compulsion trapping them in place, telling them to keep eating, despite every natural instinct screaming at them to run)
4. Alice actually listened to this statement! She said before that she usually tunes them out and just reads them through for keywords afterwards, and she usually has her headphones in for statements playing on other people’s computers. But she listened to this one, and was able to talk to Sam about it afterwards! So, I guess she’s definitely taking the suspicions about the computers seriously, and is keeping an ear out for warning signs now.
5. COLIN’S BACK! YAY!!!! 😃 ….Oh… Oh, he’s not doing so well… Colin? Buddy? Can we maybe put the big hammer down for a moment there, bud? 😥 You are valid, and you have very legitimate concerns, my friend; the computers _are_ listening to everything. But… maybe don’t go smashing government property and menacing your coworkers without a proper plan to not get _arrested?!_
6. Colin, look. I know you _really_ don’t want whatever is in the computers and other electronics to hear you, but please… _I_ really want to hear what you know! And I can only do that if the computer hears you! So _please,_ just explain everything you’ve been doing while you’ve been holed up away from all electronics on your “break”! First you wrestle with Colin when he tried to grab your phone to destroy it, back in episode 7, and now you’re trying to _tackle_ a very obviously distraught and unstable man wielding a _very large hammer?!_ I know you were concerned for Alice’s safety, which is why you grabbed the hammer and tried to get Colin to let go, but you are not a brawler, my guy! You’re Noodle-arms McGee! Alice has called you scrawny on multiple occasions, including this very episode! What are you doing?! You really don’t have any self-preservation instincts, do you?! 😓
8. Lena is _pissed!_ I definitely think she cares about keeping her people alive, even if she keeps them at arms-length, emotionally. She’s weird, but I don’t think she’s properly evil. That said, she could also mainly be pissed at the loss of the computers and the damage to the server. There’s the very important visit from the Minister coming up, and things are getting messier and messier around here in the meantime. Girl is _stressed._
9. If Colin has been arrested, and is in jail now… there’s _plenty_ of surveillance equipment there that might be able to pick up some interesting tidbits from him. I’m sure he’ll still censor what he says, since he knows he’s being watched, but I like to think we’ll be hearing more from him now that he can’t hide away from technology anymore. 👀
10. Lena asks what Sam thought he was doing tackling Colin (rightly so), Sam says he was worried Colin might hurt Alice, and Alice chuckles quietly to herself at that. Hoo boy… you’re not helping Alice get over her lingering crush on you, Sam. 🤦🏻
11. Sam… SAM! Don’t go spilling your suspicions about the computers in front of Lena! I might not think she’s evil anymore, but I still think she’s shady as hell, and I don’t know if you should be bringing her attention to what you know/suspect right now! Who knows who she reports to!
12. Celia’s repeated “family emergencies” might get her fired! I really hope she figures out what’s going on with her sleep-teleporting soon, before that happens, because I still have suspicions that quitting or being fired from the OIAR isn’t as simple as it seems, considering Teddy’s misfortune since quitting. 😥
13. Celia ended up near Oxford? (according to the transcript) Interesting… I’m going to have to check her past teleportation incidents, to see if there’s a pattern to where she ends up, at least from what we can tell: • Episode 11: Celia wakes up on the side of a motorway somewhere, sometime in the afternoon. Location not specified, either in the transcript or via dialogue. However, she was only a little bit late to work that day, so she probably wasn’t too far? • Episode 17: Celia wakes up on train tracks, sometime in the afternoon. Exact location not specified in the transcript, although she later tells Sam that she went to Oxford. She missed her movie date with Sam, but apparently was able to make it back in time for her shift, so maybe she was in Oxford the first time too? • Episode 18: Celia calls out of work with a “childcare emergency”. She contacts Georgie, to have her watch Jack while Celia makes her way home from wherever she ended up. It apparently took her a while to get home, as she seems to teleport in the afternoon, when she’s sleeping, and she apparently got home at night, and she missed her shift, so she must have gone far. Exact location not mentioned. • This episode, Episode 25: Celia calls out of work with another “childcare emergency” and she wasn’t sure when she’d get in. At the end, she’s at a train station near Oxford, at night. So wherever she teleported to, it was far enough away that she only made it to the train station by nightfall (assuming she still teleported in the afternoon). So, we have at least 2 confirmed trips to Oxford, and the rest are unconfirmed. In TMA, Hilltop Road was in Oxford, so that was where the rift was in the TMA universe, and it’s likely where it is in the TMP universe as well, considering some of the statements surrounding there. Do we think the rift is somehow trying to pull Celia back through or something? Like, since she’s (almost certainly) the Celia from the TMA universe, her presence is maybe throwing off some sort of balance, and the rift is trying to correct that by sending her back to her proper universe? If the TMP universe is all about alchemy, and alchemy is very focused around balance, it might make sense… 🤔 I’m just throwing out theories though, I could be completely off. lol
I definitely think that the rift is trying to pull Celia back in. If the thing with her teleportation was just that she keeps ending up near Oxford, surely it would be _way_ more convenient to just move there. The fact that she doesn't tells me that being closer to the rift might actually be even worse (ie, she'll get zapped back to post-post-apocalyptic TMA)

Hammers are certainly effective - in fact, unless you need to make sure every scrap of data is wiped, a hammer is a perfectly acceptable tool to destroy a hard drive. The other components of a computer just need to be broken, not erased, for which a touch with too much static electricity build up would be effective, let alone a hammer. An IT guy would know computers are fragile things

STOP! Hammer time! Another week, another episode breakdown. Nice to see the tension between Alice and Sam easing off a bit, its also hilarious that Celia already knows Alice so well. As for the Case, it seems to be a Flesh/Corruption tag team. The themes of eating disorders and the descriptions of the food growing in Tom's belly are very Flesh while all the insects and gross food are obviously Corruption. Side note: I can't be the only one who pictured the burger looking like the Nasty Patty from SpongeBob. Nothing jumped out at me as connecting to the overarching plot so its probably just a one off Case, maybe we'll get to meet the cook later though.
The Post-Case stuff is very interesting though. Colin gave Freddy a few bonks and got arrested for it. While they obviously say it to calm Colin down, I do think Sam and Alice genuinely agree that Freddy should be destroyed since it didn't do the lie detector noise. And Colin is right when he says Freddy can hear them from anywhere since it can connect with seemingly any technology. Also, I've got a nasty feeling that Colin is gonna appear as a Case at some point as it wouldn't surprise me if he gets disappeared by some Section 31 type police or Starkwell agents after this incident. The destruction of the terminals and server damage could also alert ERROR to the OIAR's location since I'm pretty sure Freddy is in some way connected to The Eye which ERROR is almost undoubtably an avatar of.
Last thing, I've had a bit of a theory going that each terminal is giving personalised Cases to its users: Sam's gives him stuff about the Magnus Institute and feeds his curiosity, Celia's gives her stuff on people crossing into different realities and Alice's seems to be giving her stuff about being watched (such as the one about the guy with the inverted face watching another guy sleep). This would explain why Lena was so insistent that Alice doesn't mess with Sam's terminal, she doesn't want them suspecting anything. Assuming Sam's and possibly Alice's terminals were destroyed, I wonder if we'll see a drastic change in their Cases going forwards.
Your theory have sense! Like the system feed the curiosity towards the fears and things they are more interested, like a paranormal algorithm I guess, but if "the thing" can move and pass between any technology then isn't properly " in the computer neither the servers" Soo Collins tried but even if he made it, it probably doesn't stop FREDDY, but maybe like the declarations/cassettes in TMA destroy the technology that have the cases could debilitate it idk
[Edit]: after hearing again I believe Collin understood it, if the thing is connected or IS in the servers or the servers perse he can destroy it, but if not then...he make a pause, he understood that is thats the case then he can't stop it no matter what

No joke, when I downloaded and listened to the early access for this episode, the dedication at the start had me shooting out of my chair and running to the kitchen to rescue my tea that had been drawing for 20 minutes XDD
I started watching this as I went to get lunch, as I approach the shop the video describes finding the Hungry man Bar and Grill. I get my food and start getting back home then as I get home and start eating my food the food review came on. I think it's a testament to both my gross factor and my hunger that I still ate it.

Maybe I'm wrong but with every time we hear John or Martin's voice, initially they start off as a bit robotic and then as their narration progresses they start sounding more and more human (themselves) 🤔🤔

This is definitely associated with meat, the fear of being eaten. You can tell that much from the way it is described. But where I find it differs from TMA is that, once again, this case relies on human nature, not esoteric nature. Hunger. The need to eat. Indulgence. Overindulged eating regardless of what was being consumed, regardless of how it will affect your body, no longer even feeding the hunger but feeding the need to eat. No control to stop. The more you consume, the more it consumes you. Consumption.
I hereby deem this case a matter of indulgence and consumption
I pretty much agree on this, as i think the community is preassuming that the same 14 fears are the primary categories. I think that this new universe is configured in several different ways, with other major themes. I can recall metamorfosis (as in the one self changing a fear very associated with gothic literature like werewolfs and vampires), consumption (the child and this one), others like ink5oul i could not point to it
@@e5f6ohuyd4s9 theres gambling (like Derrian with the money app, and that guy with the dice), anger and rage (like the two other Derrians who met each other), theres the painter who mutilated herself to "perfect" herself, I would also say that the violin could be consumption as the more it is played the more it takes from the player, it feeds, yet the player has the compulsive need to feed it anyway. So a lot of it is compulsive or straight up unhinged facets of human nature, just losing all self control and giving in to it no matter what the consequences are.

This has to be my favorite ep of TMP so far. TMA and TMP usually don't scare me (Visuals scare me, but not audio), but this ep hit right in my horror spot. I want to listen again, but am too scared to, that's how yk it was done right. The descriptions were perfectly horrible, plus cute Alice and Sam stuff AND a violent Collin meltdown?? TEA!! 10/10 episode!!! 💕

I love Magnus content so much, I do, but the audio clarity of the end makes me wish the audio effects the rest of the episodes normally have would be toned down a bit so I can understand what everyone is saying better.
Okay, I haven't listened to the ep yet, but I felt like putting this here because this happens to be the ep I'm on.
I'm nearly certain that these are all new Fears, with similar presentations but different foundations. I feel like this was kind of confirmed with the recent sighting of Jon "Many Eyes" Sims and his handy-dandy tape recorder. It seems like Jon absorbed all the other Fears in his universe, and is kind of automatically using them on some people, making them die from their worst fears and then giving their post mortem confessions. Another point in this catagory is the ep with the guard in the skyline restaurant or whatever. The descriptions of the people sound a lot like the Extinction, including their hunger, but it had a slightly different vibe. Almost like the goal itself was to feed (not unlike the Not!Baby) rather than some post apocalypse thing. Plus, the people who are hopping universes seems to be linked to a kind of existential fear of oneself, and the life you could have lived. Also, I think this is why Celia is having a difficult time adjusting. She's still working off an outdated monster list, making her inquiries lead to the wrong places.
I'd also now like to add the disclamer that I'm not really active in this community. I just listen to these on my own and I don't look for or stumble upon anyone's theories about TMA/TMP. This is just me, on my own, sharing my thoughts.
