So, here we are. I put some clips from the OVAs of Hellsing Ultimate, sticking together some of the lines I consider the most intense in terms of the quality of the voice acting. I like them very much, and I definitely love Freeman's voice and how he can put such pathos in his works, making the character extremely badass. Hope you like it!

Holy crap, this guy's freaking scary. Crispin Freeman's voice acting is outstanding, he brings the dark, sadistic, ruthless emotion Alucard possesses, his deep voice also fits the character and brings its dark qualities.
No kidding. My voice is very similar to his, and it took me four weeks of practice and several busted blood vessels in my throat to figure out how he changed his voice when he got all murdery just before destroying the Dandy Man's arm. It's tough to even get close to Freeman's performance, even with an eidetic memory to help me out.
it's funny you mention it Crispin has said Alucard is his most physically challenging where as Kyon is mentally challenging

Thank god that they kept the original voice actors, because I can't think of anyone else playing the role of Alucard. There truly is no voice other than Crispin Freeman's to give the audience a spine-weakening chill when Alucard is heard.

@mohammadpannahmahar4009 Thing is Alucard has it in him to be completely sincere and romantic, we've seen this with how he talks to the Queen and how he talked to Integra at the end-- he just PREFERS to dirty talk by default lol (listen to his phone call with Integra after he killed the poor SWAT team to see what I mean). And if you think that wasn't him dirty-talking, just look at Integra's intense blushing!
This is the first time I'm hearing Alucard in English, and he sounds like a VERY sadistic Itachi Uchiha.

I know that Crispin Freeman voiced him, it's just that the voice he used for Dracula makes it sound like Troy Baker voiced him instead.

TBH voice actors get heavily underestimated funny and weird how voice actors could capture the whole character while the live actors only capture pieces
@Chai Val Foxy Mom they had to beg Hamill to do it. Of course we know Tim Curry got the part. Hamill was supposed to play a bit role gangster. There's way more to the story and he finally gave in. And he's even more legendary now with it
The second I found out that Winston from overwatch has the same voice actor as Alucard I almost shat my self.

According to the DVD series interview I have, Alucard was supposed to have a Romanian accent in this series... I don't think I could have taken it as seriously. XD
He got an accent when he released control art restriction level 0, and it sounded really awesome. Still, I think you're right, it would have sounded ridiculously forced, especially in that scene where he's taunting Valentine.

Taka definitely fits the more comedic feel they were going for with HUA, while still being able to deliver serious lines.

In the original, Alucard wounds sadistic and "dark". Sub's voice matches him perfectly.
