Can you activate the Go3 without using the phone app? My old Samsung J3 won't support the software to use the mobile app. I've bought a Go3 but can't yet activate it.

My new GO 3 seems to invert the preview video (video is upside down in preview) when recording on ocassion. The actual recording turns out fine. Is there a setting for this or is this normal operation? This happens when I record riding a bike.
I think both cameras are great to make different shots for content but I will probably buy the go3 first. Thanks for your thorough and informative reviews.
You said you use go 3 in the office . What lighting setup does it require for decent quality also how does it look with indoor recording? I’m thinking about getting it for cool cookings shots . Thanks in advance.
Good question; obviously the brighter the better. In my experience indoors at night with just lamps on gives me a bit much noise. If have all my lights on it's not so bad. If you have a well-lit kitchen either with natural light or bright lighting then you'll probably be ok. Hope that helps a little!
Can you tell me, is the GO3 able to video tiny planets? If it can could you make a video explaining how it is done. I have in the past done it using a still image using photoshop, but never a video.

voice activated control does not work if the action pod is in your bag and the camera is say on your hat as I found out the hard way.. and I am extremely disappointed that you didn’t get around to answering my fair and honest question (nothing to do with this video) about how to turn off the recording light on the camera which I subsequently found out was a rather simple process with no help or mention in any videos I could find on youtube (Mmm I wonder why.. some sort of stigma attached to this topic) therefore I have unsubscribed from both this channel and your email.. thanks for nothing! While I am not sure how you posed your question, I don't believe Nick is directly associated with this product in any way, but instead is a creator who happens to make good use of the device. Your question is more about technical support, and it is possible it wasn't addressed as he may lack a proper answer for you on your particular issue. I've followed Nick's channel for a while now and he has tons of helpful content and videos, and I think the last bits of your comment were unfortunate as it seems you feel technical support for a product issue is the same as Q&A on how to utilize various features of a product. They are different, but I do understand that can get confusing for some.

Unfortunately I don't think you can activate it without the app.. you might need to borrow a friends phone to activate it!

Only the X3 is able to do that since the GO 3 doesn't shoot in a full 360 degree video mode.
