Mike Quatro "12th Street Rag" as child star in Lawrence Welk's National TV show featuring the "Little Band" of young kids each week. Mike was 15 years old during his time on Lawrence Welk's little band. He was recommended by a fan to Lawrence Welk to audition in L.A. Many kids trying out. After a few, Mike did his audition and Lawrence Welk said, "send the rest home--we found our piano player". This is Mike in a feature song during one of the shows. More to come soon on his amazing long career as a child prodigy, keyboard genius, recording artist, rock manager, rock promoter, and touring artist. Thanks so much for the support and appreciation of the oral history we are doing on our podcast link. we've been asked for years to cover the Quatro family and Detroit Rock City with the decades of contributions all the kids have made......so we are finally doing it all.
