      The Me 163 rocket engine used a fuel-and-catalyst steam generator to feed a turbine which in turn drove the dual fuel pumps via worm drives. ... This propeller directly drives a 2,000 watt, 24 volt, direct current generator to charge the 20 amp-hour storage battery secured in the nose of the aircraft.

    항공 사고 수사대 시리즈에서 여객기 엔진이 꺼져서 인근 공항으로 활공을 시도할 때 기체에 수납되어있는 RAT이 튀어나와서 유압계 펌프를 작동시키는 모터에 전력을 공급시켜주는 모습을 본 기억이 나네요.

    • @zozeeeo
      @zozeeeo 3 роки тому +8

      일반 민항기는 엔진에서 전력 공급이 원활치 않은 상황, 즉 엔진이 꺼지거나 배터리의 전력공급이 원활치 않을 경우 자동으로 전개되게 되어있습니다. 복잡한 기계가 아니라 중력으로 떨어지면 그냥 전개되게 만든거라 오작동으로 전개되는 경우도 은근 많습니다.. 보통 RAT으로 공급되는 전력은 아주 중요한 primary part에만 공급되도록 하기 때문에 조종계통(유압), 칵핏에만 전력을 공급하게 됩니다,,

    So for those of you that didn't know to turn on captions or can't read Japanese it's basically a wind turbine that powers an electrical generator inside of the plane. That way the plane only needs to use electricity from the engines power during the time when it's on the ground. In the case of the plane that was mainly pictured in this video, the plane itself is actually launched from a catapult so there's no electrical power being generated in that plane until it starts moving.
