I have a question I'd like answered, but it doesn't have anything to do with an R8s. I have a S6 and am using an older version of Access. When I end my conventional survey the robot stays on, and I have to manually open the door and take the battery out to power down... there doesn't seem to be a "Turn off instrument" function while ending a conventional survey.. am I just missing something?
@@TomHjelden Thanks guys, that's what I thought. Access turns an R8 off, but it will not turn off an S6.. that is a flaw in this very expensive system.
@@SurveyingWithRobert I cannot think of a single reason why the instrument should stay on after you end a conventional survey... turning the gun off is the logical next step! :D
Hello Robert, Thanks for all of your content. I just visited Google Play and Trimble DL isn't listed there. Did they get rid of the App? Is there a replacement to start static surveys?
So, it appears it’s down right now. Trimble told me they are trying to get it back up on the play store. I will try to let you know when it’s back up. I am trying to get them to add it into Access as well. Crazy thought right!
Great vid. I'm having some issue after exporting t0x file.. I'm trying to read the t0x file using TBC and it says "there is an error with the time interval".. do you have any idea of what is wrong? Thanks in advance. May be possible that I'm aborting the survey at halftime and it is exporting a damaged file? I'll try again this week..
@@SurveyingWithRobert firmware.. makes sense it must be outdated, if I'm not wrong once I try to read the file on TBC it says "June" and I did the static survey one day ago. I'll try what you said. Thanks again.
Thank you robert! hope more helpful tips..
Wow! The cats meow!
You are great
Hello Robert, I was wondering if it's possible to do a static with a R2 mobile rover using Trimble DL app?
Yes it should work

Chad Snoke the collector does not turn the gun off. You can disconnect in instrument functions but that doesn’t turn it off.
@Chad Snoke Press and hold the power button on the S6 for about 5 seconds should do the trick.

Chad Snoke not sure I would call it a flaw. It’s just cool that Access will turn off the receiver. Is it a flaw because it won’t turn it on? 😉

It was there the other day. I downloaded it to my TSC5. Search Trimble and see if it pops up.
@@SurveyingWithRobert I just looked today 06/22/2021 and I cant find it either!
@@doped304 they may have renamed it. Checking now!

@@SurveyingWithRobert Having it in Access would be great too. I'd settle for the phone App though. Thanks for checking into this and have a great day.
Hi, can you update firmware with the app? Thanks
I hit back button while ongoing survey how to resume it?

First thought would be the firmware on the receiver. Have you ran installation manager office updates. This updates the files TBC.
