Built To Spill discuss 'When The Wind Forgets Your Name' (interview with The Current)

- Built To Spill’s founder and frontman Doug Martsch is, among many things, a collaborator. And that collaborative nature shines brightly on Built To Spill’s latest album, "When The Wind Forgets Your Name," just released on Sept. 9, 2022. The songs were recorded with the musicians Martsch worked with while spending time touring and playing music in Brazil. Now, Martch has teamed up with Melanie Radford and Teresa Esguerra to create the touring version of Built To Spill. While on that tour, Built To Spill visited The Current studio to play songs and to have this conversation with host Mac Wilson.
During the chat with Mac, we hear more about Radford and Esguerra, and how they came to play with Martsch. We also hear a bit more about Martsch’s time in Brazil - and we enjoy some speculation on just how long the longest Built To Spill song has run in minutes.

Super jealous of Mel's WEEN shirt! That's a tour/show only shirt too! Very rare, very cool!!
Of course, Ween!
Im Brazilian and I love Build to Spill! I’m happy that you had a good time in my Country. Time to come up with some tour dates. :)
Love Melanies Ween Shirt. Hope she stays as the basis
I know the drummer passed away, but what happened to the guys?
Wait, what? Who passed away
luv dug!
I love the new take of the artistic community.
That it Not have to be about that stupid catch phrase, yuck, bear with me, hear goes; (I would like to add that I do not agree with this of a group of musicians that happen to earn a living at what they do, okay, (and I really can't stand this phrase);
'{sex, drugs and rock and roll!}'
Gawd how moronic, I know nobody buys that crap anymore, what gets me upset is that most career musicians are studied in the pragmatism, making something of value, intellectual property, if not, you don't get to enjoy it, cause who the hell is going to give away hard work for free. That will be the end of society as we know it.
Post script. I'm not particularly happy with this comment but I have proof read it and already made some changes to get it to flow better, that didn't happen, I am however, at this point sort of invested in this comment and I want to post something about whatever I was carrying on about.
Anywho, name's Mike, my pleasure.
