OSHO: Does Society Have a Responsibility to Its Disadvantaged People

  • Responsibility? - What does it actually mean? Does it mean 'duty' or is it possible that it may mean 'response-ability', the ability to respond to the present moment authentic, immediate? - Why not having a look what Osho has to say about this.
"Love is not a responsibility. Love is not a duty. Love is your joy. So out of your love do whatever you can do, but not out of your Christianity, not out of your ideology, not out of a sense of responsibility. Otherwise you will never be able to forgive your son, and neither your son will be able to forgive you ever. Duty is a four-letter dirty word. Never do anything for the sake of duty, because you are doing it reluctantly. And whomsoever you are doing, you are humiliating." -

This man is so enlightened it's clear now to see why government was so afraid of him. Wish is was still here in the flesh, but his teachings are truly awakening masses. Thank you for posting and sharing.

@Halpa Halpa it was not negative publicity, it was reflection of your thoughts and how you view and interpret things. When i say 'you' i mean the people who didn't even understand him. Whenever you thought it was negative publicity, it was actually a powerful tool to disturb people and their dead mind, thus opening the way for new ideas and information 🙂 Osho very well knew how exactly he needed to express himself, he mastered himself in being himself, his existence ❤ that's what makes him truly enlightened !!!

Osho is not giving you the truth. You are the one recognising it when it is spoken to you because it is already within you. That is why it moves you so much. Realise what your true potential is! That has always been what the masters have pointed to.

For those who says he didn't answer the question. Here is my understanding. He says what is society without children and parents with their baggages. His answer is clear. He says there is no responsibility of society towards disadvantaged because the disadvantage is created by society at first place. Do everything in your individual capacity with love. The society would eventually ensure no one is crippled and disadvantaged. Start with your inner awakening, then everything will be okay. He indeed answered it with beautiful poem of Khalil Gibran.

so u cannot change the society you change how u are.. how u see beyond society.. society is just the ideology to let go from
      show me society? you cannot
.. live your life now not when society is ready.. you call society blind but u listen here to what Bhagwan says and still ask "when will society blah blah" for u never because u wait for the change outside of your self..
