  • Thousands of passengers are facing weeks of disruption after a main rail line in Oxfordshire is set to be closed until June.
Nuneham Viaduct over the River Thames near Abingdon was closed on the 3rd of April because of instability. Work to try and make the foundations more secure has been unsuccessful, so Network Rail has confirmed that the line, which links Oxford with Didcot and Reading, is expected to remain shut until the 10th of June. And it's not just a commuter route - the line is also used by dozens of freight trains a day.
