Yep Sylva is the album that got my wife to fall in love with SP. Was driving back to Florida from dropping our son off at Virginia Tech. During that 12 hour drive we listened to the whole concert twice. And now we're seeing them Saturday at Ground Up!
The Curtain is unbelievably complex, yet simplistic in how it builds from straight away jazz to funk, then something other worldly to classical...astonishing!
Finally!!! I’ve been suggesting this whole album on soooo many channels and you are the first one to avtually do it. Would love to hear your take on the other songs as well. Love from Finland!
Thank you so much for this choice. Long time Snarky fan, by far and away my favorite band and for me this song sits firmly in the "if you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life" position. A total journey. The look on captain Mike's face during Bill's outro solo makes me cry everytime. Such a journey. The world is made better by this band 😭😅
Oh, I so loved your reaction to this video, which really is my favorite Snarky Puppy video. I've seen SO many Lingus reaction videos, including yours, but I haven't heard Curtain in quite a while myself, and I very much enjoyed hearing it again, as you heard it for the first time. Liked, subscribed, and notification bell turned on. I should have done that sooner.
I love your reactions and the way you shoutout things during them. But the way you were just mesmerized on some parts of this peace it made it ao special. I was transported just like you.
The alternate take of this ...JUST GOT RELEASED YESTERDAY!!! Not to react, but seriously sit down and watch it from beginning to end. It's a new mix...and Jay (trumpet). Mike (Bass) and Cory (Keys) did different solos. It's magical. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/SG-gXiDPG8Y/v-deo.html

Such an unbelievable song. Amazing we have composers like this in our lifetime.
Thank you for your response Max
Ive watched this video from them more than Lingus. This tune is epic.
Man that Bill Laurance, he's involved in all my favourite snarky puppy songs, dude is next level

Who was the pianist towards the end?
Chopin the Second?
When everyone in the band is the best musician on earth
The bass solo is insanely tasty. Insanely is the key word.

Mycolleague is right up there with Frank Zappa. What a majestic piece

I'm seeing the stankest of faces. This is awesome
Most tasteful band on the planet. Yummy. Thanks for reacting!
Tip: ANY song from the 'We like it here' sessions from Snarky Puppy.
One of my all-time favorite snarky puppy tracks! Fun fact: my wife played with the trumpet soloist in church orchestra growing up.
Many thanks for your response

Many thanks for your response
Have you ever heard/listened to Doreen "Clarinet Queen" Ketchens? She should be getting a lot more love.
Nice content. You should react more Transformation Church Worship.
Many thanks. Please do be on the look out.
Slight mistake in the description. Curtin should be Curtain
Thank you
Would love to hear you react to a song called "Question" by Fat Night
