Excellent conversation by all. Getting players from everywhere is so important. That means everywhere inside Canada too. Not sure if there is a role there yet, but there should be someone just finding players & putting them on the radar. (I was hoping Christine would take this role if it is there, but it doesn't look like it). Rhian is so impressive. I wonder if she is interested in coaching Canada?
I want a coach that lets players follow their intuition. This is what got the player to play and be on the team and make it to this level to begin with. Trust. No corruption. Intuition. Knowledge. Follow the teams relationship, that ship is what binds canadians. This is why it frustrates me that the coach doesn't have to be the same citizenship as the national team for international play on international tournaments like wwc and olympics.
