After months in production our Vancouver Travel Guide is finally complete! To everyone who requested this spectacular city, we thank you for your patience. We hope the wait was worth it.
I spent my golden years in Vancouver during my studies. Although I have been to many places around the world, Vancouver is the only city that captured my heart ❤.
I grew up in Vancouver in the 1960's and '70's. What I can't figure out, is how Expedia made this city appear in this video to look just like I remember it back then, clean, bright, and safe. Now all I see in Vancouver is lots of grungy looking people with mean faces and arrogant, aggressive attitudes. something like the guy at 2:02 - 2:06, and also now there are homeless bums and street gangs everywhere, there was none of that 50 years ago.
@@sofiacac3385 ----I had not been to Vancouver in about 5 years when I made this first comment, I was there recently, and it seems to be getting better with the younger adults in some districts, thought there are still a lot of frustrated, depressed, disillusioned and aggressively deranged people in the West End and elsewhere, especially among older generations who lived through Vancouver's many, many left-wing inspired social experiments over the years, starting about 1975, just after Vancouver had been inundated with thousands of left wing idealists and counterculture activists from the rest of Canada during the Vietnam War years in the USA.
@@CeruleanStallion -----What is RIGHT about this guy is that I will tell the truth and tell the facts which 99% of Greater Vancouverites either hide or will not admit, or maybe like yourself refuse to see or have not lived in that city long enough to know about, that is what is RIGHT with me. Vancouver LOVES to toot its horn about everything that is great about itself (mostly the nature which of course mostly does not change) but likes to ignore all the crazy sociological problems that have bedeviled that city for decades, one of the most glaring of many being the "offshore" (now there is a classic LeftCouver politically correct term) SEVERE GANG PROBLEMS that has infested that city since the early 1980's.

Jenny Amponsah Please do. It's the best trip you'll have for sure. I was there in 2015 and walked along the Stanley Park and visited the Granville street wonders in downtown all the way to Canada place. I wanna visit it again because of how welcoming people are there
Vancouver! My favorite city. Safe, great public transportation, good food and great people. I roamed Stanley Park for 6 hours with my dog-best day ever! Will return soon!
My wife and I live in the South/West of France and have done so for the past 30 years, we paid a visit to Vancouver on our Canadian tour, and while this video clip is excellent, it does not do Vancouver true justice, in my opinion, superbly clean and true to the video clip the Steam Clock is quite something to see on your visit to this captivating City. We fell in love with Vancouver, its peoples, its cleanliness, its openness to the wild and outside world that is the Canadian Continent, absolutely wonderful. Even a wild Bear came out of the forest to visit our coach, as it stood on its hind legs and sort of waved to us, or so it seemed. A proud people and wow what a Continent, one day we hope to return, time permitting. Long Live the Canadian frontier.
Vancouver is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL city I've ever been to....I really miss it. It has the friendliest/good looking people I've ever met...Mountains and ocean side by side...It's at the same time super cultural and perfect for people who love the outdoor. I had the time of my life over there:)
Healthy living is a priority for many Vancouverites, and they all seem to love animals vegan restaurants are everywhere and yoga studios. As a vegan myself for health and animal care reasons, I spent so much money on all the delicious vegan fare I discovered at the vegan restaurants, and it was worth it can't wait to go back.
I cant believe i lived there for around 2 years! i was so happy and felt so good to have beautifulness around my life every single day! i really want to go back soon and hopefully call it my home one day
Thank you Vancouver/ Canada for letting us enjoy your GORGEOUS country, your people, your forests, your mountains, your rivers... WE LOVE YOU, and hope to visit you again in the future.. ¡VIVA CANADA!

Born in Vancouver, spent 30 years there, but now in Australia and love it more. Nature around Vancouver is amazing but the city itself is so overrated and on the decline.
The only major West Coast city left for me to visit, I've seen LA, San Francisco, and Seattle, but something tells me Vancouver is the most beautiful of all. The gem of Canada.
@@canadaauroraborealis3958 Sure -- but Vancouver has modernized a lot. Its still the cleanest city in the world by many measures. Google it. Only city that comes up when you type "Environmental friendly".
I'm watching this because this is the place where Stargate Atlantis was filmed. Even though I'm Greek, this place feels really like home! Such a beauty!!
Great video of my city. A few things tourists should also take note of that they didn't mention: - There are several cities close to Vancouver (grouped together we call this region the Lower Mainland), many worth seeing. If you want to see historic Canada, it's worth taking a bus to Burnaby to visit Burnaby Village Museum. Or taking a walking tour to the Britannia Shipyards in Steveston Village, once a historic Japanese fishing town. Or taking a seabus to Lonsdale Quay. - I also recommend taking a daytrip to Victoria, the capital of B.C. Getting there might take 4 hours, but the ferry ride is scenic. - Hiking's also popular here, and for a good reason. One of the highlights of Vancouver is the number of hiking trails that are accessible nearby. Consider hiking as one of the must-dos while visiting. Deep Cove is a popular spot and you can kayak there, too. - Vancouver's Chinatown, while worth a visit (especially Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden), has become a bit rundown and is now generally more of a tourist attraction and less a place of living Chinese culture. Most Chinese people currently live in the neighbouring city, Richmond. Also be careful, because some parts near Chinatown are also really seedy as there's a lot of homeless living on these streets. Don't EVER walk through East Hastings. - On that note, yeah there's a lot of homeless here. - Due to Vancouver's history, there are a lot of people in the Lower Mainland that are ethnically Asian, many of whom were born and raised here. It can be a culture shock for some. I've heard someone comment that Vancouver might be the most Asian city outside of Asia, and they might be right. But it also means that Vancouver and the Lower Mainland has pretty good Asian food, and great cultural festivals throughout the year. Ramen's been pretty popular of late. The Richmond Night Market is a summer highlight. - We nickname Vancouver "Raincouver" for a reason. Most days don't look like the video - they are very grey and rainy. But that's what keeps this city green. - Due to foreign investors, housing in Vancouver is now extremely expensive and more locals are moving out because of it. I saw one slightly rundown 50 year old home on sale in East Van for $1.2 million CAD, which is standard.
ClassicCryptic well did you do anything on foot? To me tour buses are boring, you're confined to your bus and a schedule I like having my own car and going places at whenever I wanted too! I'm going to go again this December I'm excited
