Nice review, but with so many different brands and models out, I'd love to see a comparison of the other brands next to each other. Using a blacklight flashlight of a before and after for mopping and such to see what appears clean, but leaves or actually removes whatever grime, etc... If I am going to spend good money, I want to make sure I get the best value for my money. A ProjectFarm like review is what is needed....
Thank you. Unfortunately I don't have access to other robots. I am more of a tech reviewer and not a vacuum reviewer. But you should definitely check out Modern Castle's blog, they do a detailed and systematic review on vacuums. Very detailed. I will say that the Ecovacs bots do a great job. I have kept all three that I have reviewed and we have one on each floor. The mopping is top notch.
I have a lab that sheds like crazy. My "Dyson Animal" can't handle that fine hair; the hair plugs up the vacuum port going to the canister. Do I have any hope with these smart vacuums?
I am right there with you. I had Corgis forever and my house was full of hair. Most of these stronger vacuums do better with pet hair. Sadly my last dog passed last year, so we don't have the pet hair issue any more. We will see how the ZeroTangle performs over the next month. So far, no hair is wrapped around the ends. However, my wife's hair seems to get stuck on the brush from time to time.
Like I said most other brands do it. Not that it excuses it. Typically I set things up and then use home assistant to control them. Only opening the app when there is an issue.

This vacuum cleaner is really good, I have one at home too.

Is ecovacs one of the companies that are sending ads through their mobile app? If so, I don't want anything to do with them.
They do have pop up offers and news (a lot of brands do this). I wish these were opt in. But you can disable.
@@ThisSmartHouse tells me everything I need to know about the company and the direction it is going. Don't want anything to do with them.

@@ThisSmartHouse until we educate users about this behavior and push back, this won't change.
