Although smart and independent, rebellious teen Mika is a chronic underachiever convinced that she isn't good at anything. Unwilling to deal with her problems, Mika's parents send her to spend the summer with her strict grandmother, a former Olympic equestrian who now runs a prestigious riding school. Exploring the stables one day, Mika encounters a beautiful but fearsome stallion named Windstorm, whom even the school's best riders are unable to tame. Against all odds, Mika forms a bond with the spirited steed and discovers that she has a unique talent for communicating with horses. I'm not sure anyone is here now, but if you are, and if you want to see it in English, there's a version on Amazon Prime which is dubbed in English. I watched it. I loved it.

@@underpressure. There is quite a bit of Japanese animation that gets dubbed into English. It's more about money than anything else. Watching movies with subtitles is like a mark of culture. Or something like that. Some people can handle it and enjoy it, some people can't.

The subtitles don’t always match tho (when it was perfectly translatable). Takes away some of it. E.g. at 0:02 he was speaking Mongolian. Why translate that when it’s explained in the next sentence? Or at 0:09 he was more like: "Grandpa, can’t you stop telling fairytales for once?“
Funfact 1: What you see Mika and Windstorm doing is called "Freiheitsdressur“ (lit. "dressage of freedom“) by Kenzie Dysli, who was on set.
Funfact 2: Idk if it’s actually related or not, but there’s a myth that your hair turns white if you’re scared to death. That might explain why they decided to add a white part to Windstorm‘s mane.

Windstorm? Richtig komischer Name. Ostwind hört sich viel besser an.
Leider kommen in den englischen Untertiteln die "Witze" nicht richtig rüber.
Naja.
cusine23 ist umgekehrt leider auch oft so. Die Originalwitze sind meist um einiges besser.
Ich hätte es schöner gefunden hätten sie ihn "Eastwind" also wirklich Ostwind genannt :/
