No matter what condition her voice was in... this woman had a gift that very few others have been given. She expressed and structured a song vocally like a BOSS!
idk how anyone can dislike this performance...she NAILED this song live and its better than the actual album version. Which she is known for always sounding better than the album version of songs.
She sang with more PASSION and heart during these times than EVER... Its like she sang from a DEEPER place. Those who are spiritual and who have ever EXPERIENCED or whove ever REALLY been THROUGH ANYTHING know what I mean. Some people... All they listen for in a singer is perfection in tone quality, timbre etc. However... HEART converys more than pretty notes EVER will. Such things can not be written into a score. Only the human emotion, spirit and God can convey. Truth? Such is TRULY the essence music in the first place. I'm much more impressed by what I FEEL from a singer/musician than what I HEAR. If I can't feel it??? Then KEEP IT.
What's amazing about this performance, even though it was vocally amazing, she knew she absolutely KILLED it at the end. She so knew it. She surprised herself. She didn't know, at that point, she had that much potential left. Her face at the end was like "What!!"?
at the end of that you know she was thinking "i just fucking killed that". i don't even think she knew herself she was capable of singing like that again. i think she shook herself up. what a voice.
One of the best Whitney's live ever! I dont know how she sang like this in 2010?! Her voice was miracle and every day was different....even in her worst period she could sing like this!
She don't need to lip in her late career. Truly respect her. she sounded AMAZING in this performance. She still carry the immense musicianship she had back in her primedays, those runs/melisma, ability to emote a song like no any other still with her thoroughly!
I absolutely love this performance. It's emotional, she took her time, the head voice was on point, It's like her voice was adapting to its new condition. You have to love Whitney Houston for her bravery even going through her final and darkest times. She was a strong woman.
I want to thank those who filmed this video! His trembling made me shut my eyes and just stay with The Voice! Very beautiful this record! Because when it comes to Whitney what really matters is the voice and the wonderful way that girl knew how to use your gift! And as their last moments on this earth were to deliver the Lord your best! And she did it!
I seriously hated what the media did to her. This women could still sing better then most at her worse.
