Engine swap in 8 minutes with the intro. A couple of more to hook everything up. You're the man. Great video. She sure is pretty. Can't wait to hear it. Thanks for all of your time.
Boy that coffee does wonders, you were working so fast i thought that you were going to fire it up at the same time that you were dropping it in there 😁😜🚙💨💨
@@318willrun nah I've seen way to many of your builds i know better! Im expecting to see drag truck in the 13s the only thing gonna explode is the head of the driver next to you when you gap them in a farm truck!
Looks good . your an army of one like me . your lucky you concrete to work on . did you swap over the air gap intake or buy a new one ? also get ya set of Percy soft aluminum header gaskets you thank me . they seal and can be reused as long as their not damaged
@@MoparMan-ff8fb I plan to keep it for future projects.. BUT.... Black Friday is just around the corner and we'll see if Speedmaster has the 40% off sale. IF so, 135 bucks shipped to your door! I like them because you can slap them on a LA or Magnum.
Are you gonna have to change 318 Will Run? With a 360 in drag truck, and don't the Magnum have a big block? Sure wish you had a shop for winter projects. Did you ever look at the Rambler on eBay motors for $600?
Looking good 👍 an I hear ya on running outa calendar .... being that I’m up here in Canada an it’s was 57 degrees Fahrenheit today ! Very fast change we experienced from hot an humid to now this !! Oh An I got my truck to the track 2 weeks ago an ran a 14.3 in the 1/4 mile .. I’d love to do cpl weight reductions an one more tune an see if I get into high 13s before the year end weather shut down ! Great video I be watching to see how ya do .., good luck 🏆👍
One thing to check with the speedmaster intake! Mine had a pinhole in the casting and leaked coolant! If you are looking at the front of the engine, you'll notice the water jacket is really close to the bolt hole for the front, left intake bolt. I had to jb weld it and make a press fit, non-knurled plug for it and jb welded it in. 2000 miles later and no leaks. But I sure was pissed to see coolant coming out of it upon putting coolant in it!
I know it’s already called drag truck… but the more I see the new power plant I just can’t help thinking that the truck could be called The Patriot 🇺🇸👍 after all what’s more American than a old dodge pickup 🇺🇸
Can you Post a Brand Name & Part# for the Correct Flywheel? I am Bolting a ATK Carberated 360 Magnum Crate Motor up to a 1976 727 Transmission in My '76 B200 Tradesman Van. I want to Make sure i have the Correct Flexplate so the Balancing is Right between the 2. From what i've Read, i Believe i Need a "Weighted" Flexplate" if i am Running the Stock/Balanced/Neutral Torque Converter. Is that Right?
You just need a factory flexplate or factory replacement flexplate like this one from summit. Then a neutral balanced converter. I am assuming your engine is balanced like a factory Magnum, which balances differently than a LA engine. www.summitracing.com/parts/atp-z332/make/dodge
Love your videos... the ones on timing carb tuning have helped alot :) But I have a question... I built a 408 and also have a 360 (same thing) that have rear main seal leaks :( The 408 leaks pretty bad, I took the rear main cap off and thought I cleaned it up, but it still leaks. What's the best/easiest way to fix without pulling the engine? Sorry for the long winded question lol
Thanks for watching ! You'll need to get the pan off, so if you can do that in the car, then you can pull the rear main cap off and get it fixed. Otherwise......
I like the strap trick. Putting the 360 back in my b300 was impossible to do by myself. Getting the mounts to line up and getting the engine oriented properly to the transmission was a royal pain in the ass. Had to install it with the intake off so the crane would clear the firewall.

Looks right at home in there.
I hope it's happy in there and doesn't throw a rod... I mean fit !!!!!
Dam that was a fast swap only eight minutes! Nice job sir.
Thanks!
There was only a few weekends last winter when it was just too nasty to be out in the driveway patching together my 47 where i live, we do what we can
You're excited? I'M excited! Can't wait to see some time slips and how the launch/wind-up compares to the 318...
Be safe and take care!
You and me both!
Great Job! The Motor Looks awesome in there!
Thanks man..... hopefully she's a runner !!

Great point leaving the engine mounts loose than tightening them when things are settled in. Thanks for the tips. Great channel!

When they were on sale 40% off, I bought 3 intakes. 135 bucks each shipped to my door. So I put another new on 5.9
@@318willrun do you want to get rid of tge 3rd intake or you keeping it ?

Ha !! I'll always be 318willrun ! I wish I had a shop as well ! Someday.... Thanks for watching!
Did you have to do anything special to get the 318 motor mount brackets to bolt up to the magnum ?
Only add a spacer (I used a nut) on the driver's side. You can actually see it in the video when I'm showing the mounts.
Can't wait to hear that cam! I'm looking into a similar cam for my 360 magnum
Thanks for watching !!

360 Looks nice in that engine bay. Nice work! What intake does it have?
Thanks, much appreciated! Intake is a Speedmaster from the 40% off black Friday sale. 135 shipped to my door.
The Patriotic 360. 👍
