  • This is my take of a typical battle for the French Foreign Legion in North Africa in the late 1800s. Although the places mentioned in the video did exist (Blockhouse 7 and the Oasis for example) this is not a depiction of an actual historical battle, just my interpretation of a tactical action of that time which I think is very close to being an accurate depiction.
I wanted to take the standard practice of displaying photos of military miniatures and "up the game" by telling the story of the battle display as the viewer is led through the diorama visually and audibly. Really captures the viewer's imagination!
I'm a long time collector and creator of military miniatures and an avid student of military history gleaned from my time as a cadet at West Point and many years of service as an Army Officer. I'm also a veteran of the Afghanistan War and published a book about my wartime experience in Afghanistan which you can check out at Http://Rooster-Jones.com/
