Thanks for putting this up as it will help those from outside the area to understand all the problems being caused by certain people who have moved onto what was part of the Station site. As your vidio shows it is very remote & cannot in anyway be compared with busy commuter stations. It is however a lifeline for locals & the area is enjoyed by hikers & a few who like and understand remote places. Even in summer there are very few trains & this is a request stop . All the passenger trains are small railcar which make little noise & there are strict speed limits on this line. There are a few freight trains but these are very few . It is sensible for big loads of wood & other locally sourced items be carried by rail because most of the rural roads are single track with passing places which since covid have been a problem for locals due to large numbers of motor homes visiting the area who cause problems because they neither understand passing places or can reverse these things. There are other stations like this on this and the Kyle line in which people have purchased the former station buildings often on the platform & live in them. They understand & know they have on some occasions to allow Network rail access to enable them to carry out maintenance work & this would be on there deeds ! I expect you are aware that there are problems at Alnabreac by outsiders who have purchased the adjoining property & what I have written will I hope enlighten those who read all about this .
@@TheJamster2006The guy has a valid point bud... There's been an ongoing dispute between the homeowners who live in the old railway station house adjacent to the station and Network Rail.. It seems that Network Rail need to carry out maintenance work to the station and the homeowners are refusing them access onto their land (?) to carry out the work thats needed. It seems that it's been an ongoing issue with Network Rail and the couple who live in the old station house.
