This video was the most interesting so far. Not that previous would be bad, but rather due to the site being developed more and more and this adds the complexity and richness of activities visible. Thank you very much!
Lovely shots of the Semi. Product placement at its finest. Tesla claims not to involve itself with traditional advertising, but if this isn't a classic example of traditional advertising, then I don't know what is.
Every Elon statement, in the beginning always, sounds outlandish if not overly ambitious, but his ability to make impossible dreams come true is now well established.
9:11 this surely doesn't look like wastewater basin - it will be similar deep construction like the one on the left of it. But a moment ago you missed a new mezzanine floor in the section D (I think). That is interesting development! And also, what about the grading and paving of the new road behind where the Semi looks perched over the new factory? That is an intensive work in progress! Plus there seems to be newly paved road leading from the building right there just a few seconds earlier.
love the coverage, keep it up! As a photorapher a recommnedation for countering the nasting afternoon glare, would be to use CPL filter, or circularized polazing filter. It will cut the glare out and help to level out the lighting. They make them for most all drones and shouldn't be very expesive. Cheers
Zane, do we know who owns the adjacent lots? There must be place for electricity yard, for the megapacks and so on. Joe finds out through checking the public registers for permissions and requests for development and so on.
@dixikloos5352 They are already able to produce small numbers, I believe they are planning full production from this factory in 2026. My guess is that some will come from here by end of 2025, but they sure are pushing hard.
That smaller pit beside the big one is also for stamping, it's very similar to what was done in Texas and Germany. I hope one day Tesla can get rid of those permanent airbrakes called side mirrors.. in the EU every new semi has just tiny flat wings with cameras and screens inside the cabin acting as 'mirrors'... It's a bit silly that the Tesla Semi has not gone this route yet. With the huge size of the Tesla Semi mirrors it would make the Semi quite a bit more efficient if they can get rid of these. But cool video! Amazing how quickly this factory is built. But that stamping area could be a drag, iirc it took Texas almost a year to get that section ready. In Texas it was the first thing they started with, even before the first steel columns were installed
Interesting in that the stamping area is the last section they started on here. I have to think they can complete the footings in a couple months. Time will tell
@@ZaneglerTeslaSemiStalker-vt3or At GT the building footings were also part of the stamping press footings. Plus here there's also small squares along the edge that are also likely to be building footings. 9:39 for example. Column pedestal rebar at 9:51.
Not only blazing saddles ev and space but in construction a building in I would say is probably only one on planet earth with in all parameters being quoted also in a very timely space of time . Boy o boy that is something .
A number of reasons. The die bolsters* need to be at ground level to drive directly into the press. There are isolation mounts under the presses. There are also chambers/passages for removal of the scrap. *Mobile stand that the dies move in and out of the press on. Dies are changed regularly for maintenance etc.
I was sharing what a viewer had speculated but my current thinking is the same. Maybe this footing is for the frame stamping and the other one for body panels.
@@ZaneglerTeslaSemiStalker-vt3or There's a small stand-alone press in Stamping at GT. Used for testing dies as best I can make out. Installed beside a milling centre for machining dies.
I really appreciate your efforts! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I think the deep pit is for stormwater management. During heavy rains the water has to go somewhere and thy likely interfered with the normal runoff paths. That is a LARGE roof that no longer absorbs water underneath.
If you look back at my December-February videos you’ll see they spent a good deal of time putting in storm water drainage pipes that lead to the dry wash just outside of the northern property line along Milan Ave.
Zane, I know you admire Joe Tegtmeyer, as I do as well. But I wonder how he would cover this progress here. Could you perhaps invite him there and let him do one commented overview so that we can see his way of seeing things? I think it would be beneficial for everybody, and for you especially, you'd make your friendship stronger and fruitful!
Thank goodness for all that free government money (socialism)...elswise Elroy would've had to find investors or, even worse, spend his own money on this project. Quick question: Are these babies gonna be self-driving like the Tesla sedans?
"I am pretty sure my speculation is completely wrong" - Zanegler. 😂 LOL, same goes for my speculation. As Elon says, we humans can only strive to be "less wrong." 😎
Thank you Zanegler!!
I am but a humble drone pilot.
Thanks for documenting this awesome construction, sir.
Thanks you for video, fantastic, from Spain
Good show!

Wow! They are not messing around.
Elon Musk is not joking!
Every Elon statement, in the beginning always, sounds outlandish if not overly ambitious, but his ability to make impossible dreams come true is now well established.
Wow they are really moving along there
Thanks for the video,it's like a mini Austin.Happy Christmas from Ireland.
Thank you.
I worked in & around automotive design & production for years. Those stamping dies, more than half of one is below the floor.
9:11 I think that's the foundations for a smaller stamping press
the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Kind of desert-gorgeous, but still....
Incredible progress in a month, and under cover by winter... Impressive!
Phenomenal progress!
I’ll likely use that adjective as the title of my next video.
Thanks!
Appreciate this! Maybe you will start a trend?

I'm looking forward to your next flights.
Probably tomorrow. I might try for some pre-dawn footage.
Appreciate your work.
Thanks for watching!
Holy crap that’s insane progress
Thanks Zanegler. Wow, that 'Big Dog" Tesla semi has massive rear wheels instead of typical dual-wheels.
those are "super single" wheels...less complicated than dual wheel setups but there are tradeoffs to using them
They call them super singles.
Thanks Zane.
As always great video
Much appreciated.
Keep up the great work 😊🎉
Roger that
Love the video
nice work
Appreciate that. Glad you think so.
Incredible Work!!!
Thank you for the kind words.
Looks like a second floor loft in the jog at section E I hadn't noticed.
That's a great observation.
Thank you Zanegler!! And remember that the Panasonic is the panoramic.
Good vid

Great tip! I’ll order one today since this issue will persist especially in winter.
Is that Diesel and Gas Powered equipment I see down there ?
You forgot propane. They probably used horses to help build the first Model T production line. Then society ate the horses.
Good job!
Do you know if they work 24/7?
@robertn2951 They have done some concrete work overnight.
Skeleton staff on Sundays in the past. Main workforce has been day shift.
welcome back for me!
Zane, do we know who owns the adjacent lots? There must be place for electricity yard, for the megapacks and so on. Joe finds out through checking the public registers for permissions and requests for development and so on.
Storey County has not been very cooperative in providing this type of information even though it is ostensibly public. No online access.
@ wow… gulp… I see (shaking head).
When can we expect the first Semi's? Thx for the coverage🙏

Probably late 2025 for initial test production and then ramping up in 2026.
Thank's again for the update. it's almost like Tesla porn with that music. Funny stuff.
It could give some viewers a semi. 😂

@MarcoNierop They have to follow the regulations. It might be that the buyers will be allowed to remove them.

Did you see the new mezzanine floor next to the simi inside the building?
!
I’ll take a closer look next flight.

How deep are the stamping foundations ? Why do they need to be so deep in the ground ?

The second hole seems an odd shape for storing waste water. I expect more footings for stamping presses, but just a guess.

Easter Egg still present, I see. First production by Easter 2025? 😀
And they wonder why the stock price will 10 x in the next few years. Elon will own the world
Wow flying semis everywhere who knew😊😊

Can't wait for later next year, when Semi's are finally getting built in high volume. That will signal the beginning of the end, for diesel semi's.
Tesla Semi ❤
Well with Nikola going bust it will be Tesla flying the flag for EV trucking.
All of his plants will shut down, and he will loose everything
