It amazes me how compassionate Meg is to Chrissy after she killed her husband yet she is so pissed off with Jim Fletcher who saved her life ha ha
yeah makes no sense.
Cabcj Sims I think it's because Meg is female, kind, caring and understanding.
Chrissie doesn't dislike females for being female, especially as she is one, but she is a bitch towards males just because they are male, and Jim is male and an officer.
Although having said that, Jim can be a bastard at times no matter who doesn't like him. Haha. 😄
@@silvana8246 Makes perfect sense, women works that way
I like Meg, who doesn't seem to have much luck with men, but then who does in this series, really? 😃😄
Oh yes, Vera, Bea and Lizzie being there towards the end would have been great and I would have loved Erica and Jim to have been there as well, maybe any other characters like Doreen, Judy, etc. 😃😊
I have loved the earlier years more so than the later years for some years now. 😊😃
The show seems to lose its way almost before the mid 500's era mark, which is a shame.
Saint Meg of Bleeding♡sVille
Lizzie’s facial expressions when using the telephone. So in character. Love it!!
The actress who plays Roz is Sigrid Thornton. A great Aussie actress who has had a long and illustrious career. There is a phenomenon called the Sigrid Factor whereby towns in which she has shot a film or series seem to flourish afterwards. Us Aussies love our Siggy.
The Man From Snowy River. I love that film.
Ahhh! Yes! Singrid Thornton also plays a diabolical murderess for a few seasons on the new Wentworth show from Foxtel. (2013 on)
Shes an awesome actress. Thanks for pointing this out. I knew she looked familiar.
Thanks for the reply. Oddly enough I was thinking about Siggy and my comment about her just this week. A comment that's 10 years old! It's an amazing coincidence that you would reply so soon after I was reflecting on it. Brilliant.
@@RustyKeys72 Yes, wow what a coincidence....cool
She was nothing that special, I haven't heard of anything she's done in the last 20 years???
I'm really warming to Fletcher, he's not a bad officer
Fit as f**k!
When Chrissie talked about her dad forcing himself on her since she was little and her mum knowing about it .made .e change my tune about her . Really hope the babys ok . she's really tried to do the right thing so far for her baby . Hope she's going to be ok
Nice to see 'Dor' find her self a 'good un', this is a typical soap young-love storyline. It plays real sweet.
Vera speaks in the same tone to the receptionist ad she does the prisoners 😂😂😂
😂
Vera's in charge
It’s because Vera is a miserable, anti-social, bitter and cynical old witch, who is too afraid to show that she has a heart in case someone hurts her.
Can't fault her on consistency 😂😂
@ 30:57 - Drunk Lizzie is talking to a ghost. That's Bea's now deceased ex husband. lol
Nacho Mamma the bar tender?
The guy she is talking to and he was a screw from Barnhurst in a previous episode. Imagine Lizzie telling Bea that she had a drink with her dead husband in a pub. Lol
He did get around a bit.
maxb28 The actor, Terry Trimble also played a lorry driver and a police officer in the series as well. 😃
@@maxb28
Nope! He was the Pentridge screw when Pat went to see David after she got out the first time.
I love Lizzie she cracks me up especially when she is pissed
Beas face healed quickly!
@ 21:16 - “Not hungry.”
That’s some Emmy-quality acting. LOL.
Best Lizzie moment in the boozer..... "Lucky Im not a lady.....give us another one mate" HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!
Lizzie drinking with Bea's dead husband is funny too.
@@davidhamlin992 yep. Never sure who you'll bump into in the pub.
That meal Sharon is eating of steak, chips and fresh tomato looks rather nice considering the food is suppose to be muck according to the inmates...
so Lizzie, is chatting to Beas husband, whilst waiting for Mrs O'Regan to get off the phone,so she can talk to Myra Desmond about a niece who does not exist
ace sigma Wait really? Also I miss Myra :(
Lizzie is a silly old fool.always gets drunk.
Best comment I've read thus far. LMAO!!
And future Wentworth extra, Ronnie Kennedy was in the first telephone box beside the empty one which Lizzie tried to use, then gave up and went to the pub to use their telephone after Mrs O’Reagan’s advice. 😄
That mother who's husband was killed is such a bad actor, I thought she was dead laying there.
Serenity Rayne They need to get rid of those two and Pat
The mother is a bad actress and the daughter is a snobbish bitch
No such luck.
@@rosslamb7069yea I agree with you 100%
That women who answered the phone at Maynard Electronics is Anne Phelan, who went on to play Myra Desmond ??
Indeed it is
Caroline killed her father to stop her mum having to put up with the misery of being beaten up. She should of killed her mum too to stop us having to put up with the misery of her acting !!! LOL
Poor exit story for Ross, a great character. 92 EPISODES IN, 600 TO GO !!!
She Killed him because he was about to shoot her.
Yeah, I agree. Caroline's mum is nothing but a pain in the ass. She is way too stubborn to let anyone help her. So to snap her out of it, they should stop helping her. Sharun Gilmore is one hell of a bitch. What does Judy Bryant see in her?
How did she get the role in the first place? Terrible acting.
makes me long for the greek immigrant storyline or the plight of young Davie
Haha, love it, Chris!
"Not hungry.. I'm NOT HUNGRY!"
"Have you got a lover or something on the outside?" ... "Certainly NOT!"
"We must be brave, my darling. We have a lot to face yet."
Still, at.least 'Brian' was a good actor; his fall forward stunt during the stabbing scene was worthy of a Logie.
I started liking chrissy after hearing about her childhood and how maternal she became!
Nice to see Margo Gaffney making her first appearance on the show.
Hope Doreen doesn't lose her job because of Lizzie !
Alan Mclay She played Yvonne back in episode 9 !!
Yep, Margo is a great character, I enjoy every episode she's in. Very good character development too; goes from relative nice to becoming one of the villain-characters due to bitterness after her second sentence.
Margo = "Midnight Special"!
Lizzie does my head in .she can't do anything right. 😂 Amazed that she trusted her with the job
The bloke Lizzie was talking to at the pub at 31:36 is Bea's husband. LOL. :D
+David315842 True. Also, the woman who answered the phone where Doreen works is the actress playing the "I hate cauliflower" inmate, Myra Desmond, and, in early episodes, she played a "screw", when Erica's niece was inside.
"I hate cauliflower" inmate = Bernadette, she only appeared in 2 episodes.
Love lizzie"s character when she drinks, the scene in the pub when lizzie wants to use the phone, sitting at the bar next to the man,, I am sure that the man played Bea"s husband who she shot, does anyone else notice this,,..... Anyhoo loving Prisoner Cell Block H.💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yes, it is the same actor, Terry Trimble, who played Bea’s husband, Harry Smith and who played the Barnhurst officer who was antagonising Pat’s son, David O’Connell. 😃
21:15 ..."Why aren't you eating, Mrs Williams?"... Hahahaha :D
+Kay Woods Because Mrs Williams doesn't taste very nice!
That Williams woman is infuriating.
I just love lizzie such a cool old lady !!!
Look at Meg fussing over Chrissie when she get's hurt, she's all nice to Chrissie now just because she's pregnant. Has Meg completely forgotten that Chrissie stabbed her husband Bill or something.
Meg wears her heart on her sleeve. It's too bad there aren't any real life screws like Meg. Ilike her.
21:15 'not hungry" lmao
lizzie in that shirt reminds me of alex higgins.lol
29:45 the voice of a very polite Myra Desmond!
I don't listen in keyholes, lol Vinegar
😅
I thought Mrs Williams was dead at 15:00. That was some great acting, I couldn't help but laugh! :D
Chrissie started out as a character I couldn't stand but I've grown to like her, and I'm so happy she has decided to keep her baby and give her the love she never had.
And, as for Gaffney...I about lost my head with her character. It's like she'd never go away. She's one of my least favorites on this show.
Sharon first but.
Fletch The Letch fancies a bit of that Caroline my poop don't stink Simpson.
I wouldn't be surprised if her poop didn't stink, she's so gorgeous 🙂
21:15.......hilarious face!
😂lol its Mrs O'regan @ 30.03!!
That doctor's reaction to Chrissie when talking to her cracks me up he's so shocked makes me laugh!
Vera is unbelievable.always ready to stick the knife in and with that famous smirk aswell
Doesn't matter how many times I watch Prisoner from start to finish, the scenes that freak me out the most are the ones where Meg shows concern for the woman who murdered her husband and the father of her child. I mean, come on, there's stretching reality and then there's this.
Oh my god the old phone boxes what great memories . Sadly they had to get rid of the fold in doors because of junkies collapsing inside lol
Lizzie is just hilarious, but I'm amazed she never knew the pub was there before the lady at the phone box pointed out the nearest phone was in it. Sorry to see Ros depart the show, I was enjoying her story-lines a lot. At least she got helped back on track by Paul anyway. I've no sympathy whatsoever for Sharon getting done over because she is the type of person who invites trouble onto herself.
thay lady later on becomes wentworth cook
LOL at the cheap graphics on Kev's van! That woman Lizzie met at the 'phone box sounded just like Mrs O'Reagan!
Cuz it's the same actress l
Is Lizzy talking to Bea's dead husband?
Bonnie Chiaccio She is indeed. You're right. The actor's name is Terry Trimble. 😃
Absolutely! One more bit of trivia from that scene. When Lizzie tries to call In for Doreen, the voice on the telecom recording is Anne Phelan, who played the cauliflower hating Bernadette, and better known Myra Desmond.
Yeah! 😂
The dark haired woman bustling about behind Lizzie when Doreen appeared was inducted into Wentworth at the same time as Susie Driscoll under the name 'Mary Vaughan'.
That smile on lizzie when the woman said there's a phone in the pub.priceless
It seems odd seeing Bea not beating the stuffing out of someone!
25:20 "Why don't you just tell 'em I've got a wog?" made me laugh like crazy. Apparently "wog" is Austarlian slang for cold or flu.
37:13 "She's got pluralsy, she has!"
they could have done soooo much more with rosilyn, brillant character, such a poor premature exit for her
Anyone recognise the recorded voice on the phone when Lizzie rang for Doreen? It's the voice of Myra Desmond.
Nice haircut Meg. ❤😂
Vivian's acting is hilarious 😂😂😂😂. She must have done alot of stage acting.
Life before Mobile Phones, Smartphones & iPhones 😂😂😂😂. Would love to see Lizzie with an 📱iPhone📱----- it would blow her mind
Ericas really is milking her injury. 10 episodes is a long time in prisoner.
She was shot. If it was a bad injury to bone or muscle then healing could take months....
I am pretty sure she was injured in real life.
Judy coming in last episode, Margo making her entrance in this episode, all shaping up very nicely as Prisoner evolves and develops. I cannot recall how Dor and Lizzie and up back inside, but I am glad they do, not that I am a rotten mongrel or anything, lol
22nd December 2024.
Goodbye Ros and Hello Margo. Of course Lizzie was going to bugger up Boreen's phone call ... poor sod. Good luck Kev, you're going to need it. How about a shot to put Ma Simpson under ... permanently.
Mrs O’regan holding up the phone in the pub
Vivienne has to be the most appalling, appalling actress I have ever seen. For a start, she is like something from the 1930s! Sharon's voice is rusty nails down a manky blackboard! Lizzie is batshit crazy! She's amazing!
There was an almost identical character on Within these walls looked like Vivienne and was a toffee nose too.
Vivienne probably sings opera.
The lighting gaffer must have come back from his holidays for this episode.
LIzzie in the pub :"Some women just don't stop talkin" lol
How many words per min does Sally do - like, none ....
Looks like Bea's husband came back to life @ 31:38
Lol at Vera earwigging at the social worker's office door.
can't beat the old series of 1970's TV
Lizzy loves a drop of the old grog smiles
Counting the episodes till Jock arrives and put Sharon out my misery
Shame he never met Caroline's mum!
Jock's my all-time fav baddy! Especially during his second stint when he's on the outside.
26:27 that camera zoom was a bit unexpected 😂
They recycle an awful lot of characters but I think that is one of the best parts
how does the doctor expect and answer from a patient with a thermometer in their mouth?
42:52 beas face healed up quick from that soup that was chucked at her 🙄😒
21:16 - That should be the thumbnail for this episode.
🤣🤣
I don't see why Doreen didn't just call in herself she's not a child having a day off school
Yes. Cough a few times and put on a croaky voice.
I like the new prison doctor, he's adorable!
i know i am repeating my, but are there no other rooms in the halfway house, because it only shows us the kitchen, they must sleep, eat, and watch tv in there as well.
Bea's hubby sitting next to Lizzie, ffs they have used that actor three times already he was a prison guard in the mens prison too, Lizzie should have told him Bea sends her regards!
Not the last time either, if I remember correctly.
Makes me laugh how the prisoners leave and they all end up going back inside, also some of the visitors end up going inside as well.🙄🤣🤣🤣
You would have thought Mrs. O'Regan, the prison cook, would have recognized Lizzie from the prison.
Ken Foland Haha. 😄
Christine Calcutt who played the lady in this episode wasn't yet playing Mrs O'Reagan. The prison cook didn't have a name yet, so it may not have been Mrs O'Reagan, maybe another prison cook. 😃
What a crap exit for Ros.
I liked Kevin the first time watching these episodes through and I still like him on a rewatch. What a cutie.
I didn’t remember that Christie named Elizabeth after Lizzie. That’s adorable.
Can't believe Doreen has found a job although I'm more on disbelief that whatever it is she's doing requires so many employees to keep it running. I've only ever seen her bundle tatty bits of crap into a few boxes.
the lady at using the phone in the pub is mrs oregan the cook?
Jack Sloan Yes, that's Christine Calcutt who later plays Mrs O'Reagan the prison cook. 😃
Chrissie makes me think of Eliza Dolittle lol.
Both Cockney accents, yes...
Enter Margo! She's a great character. Alot of ups and downs and changes.
Margo reminds me so much of how a friend of mine looked in the mid-late 70's it's almost impossible for me not to like her even when she's horrid.
🥰Margo….one of the best characters 🥰
I wonder if Margo has stopped singing about The Midnight Special. The same line, over and over and over and over.......
Lol! Old MacDonald had a farm....!
Oh Geez they can just stop at a phone box and Doreen can call sick herself.
it said 1980 at the end of the previous episode , which i thought was already long overdue . but this one reverts back to '79.....
So glad that man still wants to see Doreen . She's so sweet, glad to see she soesnt need to carry teddy everywhere with her anymore . New Lizzie would mess it up !
Hello Margo.....
Am I totally loosing my marbles or is Lizzy talking to Bea Smith's dead husband in the bar around 31 minutes in? And how many phones does poor Myra Desmond answer over there?!
Yes it is
Wes Brown. Yes and yes. LOL
He's a terrible actor too
Did Tony get that top from Childrens TV Presenters R Us?
Love how Doreen said Oh Lizzie. 🇦🇺👍
The earlier episodes much better with Bea and Vera
I feel for Chrissie, it is really stressful having a baby that comes out earlier than expected ! xx
Paul Reed's son is such a brat.
James Cannon He's a little rat. Squirming his way out of trouble
Yes I agree.
CAN'T THEY AFFORD TO LIGHT THE CORRIDORS WITH MORE THAN A 5 WATT LIGHT BULB.
This episode was the 1st time this show was so well lit. I was thinking they got new lighting while watching as some parts did shine so much they glowed.
I think I preferred the previous dark look of the show.
Lizzie funny, on the phone the drunk.
This is how we know she's a good actor.
fair dinkum - lizzie-isms crack me up lol
Yes I'm confused with Meg angry at Jim yet nice and polite to chrissie.very confused
Looks who's in the phone box next to Lizzy @ 29:32 future prisoner I think Ronnie
omg i remember using those old telephone boxes when i was a kid
Cliff D Yeah and ringing 199 and the phone would ring and then ya run. Or ring 013 and chat to the operators or ask em for a root lol.
Doreen's got herself a toyboy!
16:48 Sharon told Vera that Tony had ' *brought* the stuff'. No; he _bought_ it, not _brought_! Get it right!
Then Vera speaks to Erica to tell her that Tony had 'bought' it. How did she know that when Sharon had explained what had happened incorrectly? They are two different versions of events right there..
Tranquilizers for Vivian??! If she was any more tranquilized she would turn to stone!
Lizzy reckoned she had 'used all her dough' at the phone box- but she obviously had enough to get rat arsed! ;)
Some people mispronounce things - in real life as well. They just let it go here.
