I think that Bosh to Houston is perfect because:
    1. He gets paid max dollars
    2. He can stretch the floor with his mid-range jumpshot and 3 point shooting
    3. He doesn't have to work in the paint like he kinda did in Miami because D12 has the paint covered and Bosh can return to his natural position at PF
    4. He returns to his home state of Texas. Sure it isn't Dallas wich is his home city but still has his relatives close by.
So I think that Bosh should do the correct thing for him and go to Houston.
And I just wanna ad something real quick. I know that LeBron, Wade and Bosh are really close and enjoy playing together but I think that they should stop waiting to see who does what and do what's best for them, their careers and their families. They had a great run in South Beach but maybe the time has come for them to part ways and they should handle this like the grown men that they are and not wait to see who does the first move.

He wants max because he's getting older. After this season coming up he'll be exiting his prime. Who knows what could happen then. He could still be really good like Jordan and still be worth max or he could decline a little(or a lot) and not be anywhere near max player. Just my theory.

lol houston's still going to lose in the first round regardless of Bosh because of James Haren (no d), Dwight's refusal to play pick and roll because he's a dumbass and thinks he can post-up, and Kevin Mchale for being one of the worst coaches in the NBA. Fire Mchale, get Dwight to run pick and rolls, and get Beardface's fatass in shape for defense and they MIGHT just beat the Spurs or Thunder with Bosh. Maybe.

The Lakers are in a similar situation as they were in the summer of 1996. Didn't re-sign anyone, just to create cap space to get Shaq. And they actually did it.
Might happen again with Carmelo this time. He can get the money he wants, and be the franchise's icon after Kobe's retirement. Plus, Kobe has constantly pursued him to join the Lakers, if Melo says ''no'', that might mess up their friendship.
His best option are the Bulls though, easy. Less money, but it's worth the sacrifice. Defense everywhere. All they need is scoring, which Melo can provide. They have McDermott as a backup. The conference is already easy. Can become even easier if the Heat's Big 3 split.

looks doubtful, but i really want Melo to go to the Bulls, simply because they could challenge the Heat. As for Bosh, he's not the one chasing Jordan. It makes all the sense in the world for him to take that huge contract from the Rockets. Now if Bosh goes, that puts Lebron in a tough spot, because who knows if Miami can get another guy to replicate what Bosh did for them.

If Bosh joins Houston that leaves Miami with room to get Melo and Lebron. That's why Melo and Lebron aren't signing anything yet. Because if Bosh isn't at Miami, that's 20+ million in cap space per year. Lebron and Melo and Wade would then join the heat with Wade and Melo taking a little less money. Napier Wade Melo Lebron and they would add a centre

I personally did not see much success from the rockets last season when they were projected to go deep in the playoffs. Yeah sure, Dwight did have an amazing playoff performance, but I don't think Houston has all the components to be a championship contender as you claim. They are much lacking in a good point guard to facilitate.

as a knicks fan i want Carmelo to leave. 129 million is not worth 30 points, 3 assists, and 6 rebounds a game. no way in hell. and Carmelo will never win because his game revolves around him isolating agianst one guy and scoring. he doesnt even have that high if a field goal percentage. i want him to leave. and it would also be horrible for him in LA because Kobe and Carmelo or both iso players. that would be a really stale offense unless they have a new scheme. i think melo would be best suited for the rockets or the cavs, but i dont think he wants to move to houston or cleveland. ultimately he'll end up back on the knicks ruining the next 5 seasons. even if he was as good as Lebron (which hes obviously not) hell make too much to have that good of a supporting cast anyway! he should just take less and go to the rockets or lakers. the knicks need to rebuild.

Jakeykeywheels17 The thing is that why would Melo go to the Cavs when Kyrie Irving is there, Wiggins is there and he is?!? Thats 3 iso players!!!!!!!!!!!
If, he goes to the rockets, Harden is an iso player, Howard has developed a post game to he"ll get more touches there, and Melo is also and iso player.
If Melo stays in NYC, he will be your franchise player and who else on that Knicks roster can average 30, 3, and 7? Thanais Antetokounmpo?? Clenanthony Early???????????? Wayne Ellington?????????????? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smoove, you're underrating the Lakers. If they got Carmelo, and if they got Gasol back, they'll be a title contender. It will all depend on how Julius Randle plays in his rookie year. I think he could easily average over 10 ppg. And you're forgetting Kendall Marshall, who played PHENONMINAL at the end of last season. The kid can really turn into a real floor general.

@Shawn Johnson if you think about all 5 of those guys barely played with each other the whole season! Nash is old and is injured constantly, Dwight had back problems, Pau had foot problems, and at the end Kobe tore his Achilles' tendon. Which is a reason why the Lakers were swept by the Spurs! Also the Lakers need to get rid of Steve Nash ASAP! And even if the Lakers got melo, the Lakers would still need a bench to be contenders..and Kobe and Melo need to learn how to share the ball. I say all this and I'm a laker fan and the truth is we won't be title contenders just by signing Carmelo!

Smoove forgot the fact that there's only one Ball in the court and the real game isn't 2k. There already isn't enough ball to share around between Howard & Harden. The Rockets is going after Bosh because he doesn't need the ball, spread the floor with his 3s, can play D and helps cover Harden. The fact that Howard and Bosh are friends helps too. I think the current situation is that everyone is playing the waiting game and like a Texas shootout they won't make a move until they see another person make a move. If Bosh stays, then Lebron signs. If Bosh leaves then Heat might rebuild from scratch or try to get Melo to be the new Big 3. Otherwise Lebron leaves for whichever team that'll give him the Max and then Melo sits tight in NY for another year and then tries to sign the Max next year. So ultimately everything actually hinges on Bosh, who unfortunately is extremely indecisive. I also don't think that Howard + Harden + one of Melo/Lebron/Bosh will make a good enough team to beat the Spurs. They'll need to trade Lin to get cap space and then the whole team has no facilitator. It'll just be the 2014 finals again with Lebron Iso vs the Spurs beautiful teamwork and even the best player can only do so much with a lame duck coach like McHale.

Man, the Bulls will be perfect for him, they have everthing to win Ring the only thing is they need is a Scorer and thats what Melo could be perfectly. I dont understabd him, when he goes to the Rockets, sure they have DW and JH, but JH play no Defense and when Melo also sign they have two Players, who cant guard someone and it will be always 3 vs 5 in the D. The Bulls are the best defensive Team of the League and Melo could play bad as fuck in the D hes Teammates like Butler and Noah could handle that and under Thibodeau he will be probaly better at D. He will never be the DPOY but i can imagine that Thibodeau can make he to a solide Defender. The Bulls will have a strong D and with Rose& Meli to very good Scorers. That Team could come every Year in the NBA Finals. Imagine that :
    PG: Rose
    SG: Butler
    SF: Melo
    PF: Gibson
    C: Noah

That's exactly what I've been telling everyone! Everyone has been saying that Dallas is better or the Lakers but they don't realize the potential of this Bulls team with him in it. And plus, Rose will have the open lane more because the offense will not be only focused on him, making his drives easier and less complicated. The probability of Rose getting injured will be less because he won't be doing some crazy circus shots all the time.
Maaaannnnn, what are you doing Melo. It's all about winning, not the money.

Personally I think the kobe is too old to be a good consistent scorer. And tru if he wants to win he will go to the bulls. It fits perfectly if he wants to win. A good pg, a center and the bulls(my home team) need a offensive scorer. We have terrible offense. If he wants money personally I think he would stay at NY. I HOPE HE COMES TO CHICAGO.

That's what I've been saying! Melo in Chicago would probably be the best fit. If he went to LA it would be dope, but the way I see Melo's career it's like he doesn't want championships. It's like he just want to play and get paid but not earn a ring. That's just how I see it.

    • @pokefesterJr

Kobe is just too old and now that he's coming back from an injury, Kobe probably won't come back as his old self. And yes Kobe and Melo would attract more FA's but the Lakers would have little cap space to sign those FA's with since Kobe and Melo are both high salary players. I wouldn't exactly call two iso players a "duo" either but... xD I agree, the Bulls would be the best fit for Melo, maybe someone will finally teach him or force him to play some at least decent defence xD

Carmelo is choosing between the Knicks and Lakers because staying with the knicks offers the most amount of money and better certainty of winning a champion under Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher and also having the money next year to make the Knicks immediate contenders in the EC and thats another thing staying in the EC would be so much easier to get to the finals then going to the WC and trying to fight the warriors, or clippers, or OKC, or the spurs. He's only thinking about the Lakers because Kobe is there and the lifestyle of LA matches his and his wifes lifestyle.

All it takes is some simple logic to see where Lebron is going. Lebron lost to Paul Pierce as a member of the Cavaliers in the ECF's, Paul Pierce was coached this past season by Jason Kidd, Kidd is now coaching the Milwaukee Bucks, thus, Lebron is going to Milwaukee. See, all comes full circle.

Lbj is a great fit with the cavs because they would probably sign lbj have kyrie and trade wiggens for love in a package so that's a young core they have. No love for Lebron to PHX Smoove?? Out of all the teams with cap-space not named the Miami Heat, they offer the best all around roster, a crazy dynamic backcourt, the ability to not only sign him but another max player of HIS choosing, a up-and-coming coach, multiple future 1st round draft picks, and a miracle medical staff that could keep Lebron playing into his 50's if he wanted. If you have all that but you're the LA Lakers, Lebron would sign in a minute. Only reason we don't get no love it cause it's Phoenix. If I were LeBron, I would go to Mavericks, as they have almost the same exact roster they did when they beat the Heat back in 2011, although now they've got Monta Ellis. Just think about the roster, they would probably win atleast one championship with LeBron, and they would offer him good money as Dirk took a pay cut. Plus, LeBron is a Cowboys fan, so Dallas would be a good fit for him. Just think about the Starters:
    PG: Raymond Felton
    SG: Monta Ellis
    SF: LeBron James
    PF: Dirk Nowitzki
    C: Tyson Chandler

the reason melo wont go the rockets is because he demands the ball to much. they already have harden, who takes lots of shots. and they have dwight who demands the ball, and lets not also frogot the reason dwight didnt want to play with Kobe. becasue he felt he wasnt getting enough touches in the paint. so now if you add melo to the rockets, thats another 25 fg attempts a game. to make that work would be very hard.

Melo says he wants to be a contender but he just wants spotlight and wants to make himself a story and its been that way since the beginning of his career. If you know how carmelo left the nuggets to go to NY, a place where they focus all their attention on him to bring them a title they have never gotten in their history, you know that draw so much attention. Then after the knicks had that stint where they had a successful season, he's obviously gonna leave. Melo is gonna leave mainly because he is gonna be known as a player who could never get his team a ring, so he's now trying to find a team where he can try and make another story for himself as he his prime is drawing to an end. If Melo stayed with the nuggets in the beginning of his career, which was centered around him and was full of good players, them maybe he could win a ring, but he's just going for the spotlight and wants to do things himself. I'm a lakers fans but I sure as hell don't want him on my team, I don't hate him but I certainly don't love him.

LeBron's best bet would not be the Rockets James Harden would want the ball too much and their bench would be no better than the Heat. Honestly the Suns and Cavs are his best options if he went to the Suns Bledsoe would return because they are friends and the Suns have a great bench, and the Cavs have young stars and would have a bench because Wiggins would probably be the 6th man. Houston to me would be tied for 4th behind the Heat and Mavs.

The Cavs do have some nice pieces. Kyrie Irving is a stud. We all know it, and LeBron has never played with a point guard of that caliber. Dion Waiters is no scrub, Anthony Bennett showed some flashes. Besides that, his boy Johnny Manziel plays in Cleveland now, and it's LeBron's home, If he goes anywhere else but Cleveland or Miami, he will be known as a "mercenary." So to speak. Jumping from team to team hunting rings.

Going back to the Cavs would be an amazing story no doubt, but I don't think they could win it all even with Wiggins and all the other young guys. I don't see them taking down any of the western teams with that lineup and LeBron would put them over the cap so they couldn't really add anyone else. Maybe they could try to trade Wiggins for Kevin Love and hope he resigns.

Go Wavy I hope so, but for some odd reason I feel he is not. Bulls are a great defensive team, so that will open many more opportunities to make easy buckets, he's not that good defensively, but bulls will cover that up. Rockets are a OK fit but a mix of harden and Melo that need the ball to be effective is a bad combo

If Melo really wants a championship he'll have Chicago has his number 1 choice and Houston at number 2. You guys are probably gonna say ohh rose us injury prone why would he go there. Chicagos a better fit cuz they are one of the best defensive teams and only need melo at offense pretty much which is his specialty. Melos d isn't that bad and plus the bulls are in a weak eastern conference which means they have a better chance to get to the finals every year. Rockets are good but theyre also in the western conference and harden cant play d at all. You can't have 2 not so good defensive players on the same team. Melo just go to Chicago

No way Lebron is going to the West, he doesn't want to compete on that level night in and night out. Also Lebron can't play with a dominant center because they hog up the lane and Lebron does nothing but drive. As humble as DRose is he wants to be the star, Carmelo wants to be the star... Both of them require the ball in their hands to be effective so Melo don't fit in in Chicago. Melo doesn't fit in with LA because of the same reason remember what happend with Shaq and Kobe, both of them were stars and it pulled the team apart so we could get some dejavu if Melo goes to LA.His best bet is to stay in NY make the money and wait for Phil to get some pieces around him. Lebron's best bet is to stay in Miami yes there old but Pat Riley has proved that he can build a team. Also you won't have to worry about the Spurs much longer they only got 3 years left at absolute most.
