    The thing I love about Smoove is that he makes everything interesting, I haven't watched a single NBA game nor do I play basketball in real life. I'm a football (soccer) fan, but still I took interest in this topic, just because Smoove made it interesting.

    Melo to the bulls makes way more sense. Imagine the starting line
    Pg: Rose (if healthy)
    Sg: Butler
    Sf: Carmelo
    Pf: Gibson
    C: Noah
    If Melo doesn't go to the bulls it's obvious he cares more about money than winnning.

    Smoove please go on ESPN First Take and talk some sense into Skip Bayless. He is confused 99% of the time, he makes some true points on occasions, but he is just confused. Plus who wouldn't love to see you on TV doing NBA analysis. It'd be a smooooove move

    Pat Riley should try to trade Wade for Carmelo. The backlash from fans of Wade's would be awful... But know what else is awful? Dwyane Wade in these finals. If you want to win championships you have to do hard stuff sometimes.

  • @derkach77
    @derkach77 10 років тому +58

    If people actually think melo to the heat will happen they have no clue about the NBA whatsoever. If he leaves NY as expected he will be a bull. Houston is the only other team who has a shot but no one will take Lin and Asiks crazy contracts. Those teams are by far the front runners. Melo to Chicago has been rumored all year anyways.

  • @Chris10237
    @Chris10237 10 років тому +36

    Not likely, just another rumor. Also, think about it. Would Melo even make the Heat better? He'd take a lot of shots away from LeBron. As LeBron said in that All-star interview thing, there can only be 1 alpha dog.

    • @TheBearOfFun
      @TheBearOfFun 10 років тому +10

      Exactly! The scoring would be terrible because now you have a huge ballhog on your team, like imagine if carmelo went to the spurs. He would fuck up there whole offense!

    • @codyssmith73
      @codyssmith73 10 років тому

      It'd be like Bargs and Melo now. Two guys who want to shoot too much.

    • @IDoThisNoCAP
      @IDoThisNoCAP 10 років тому

      Lebron and carmelo would fit perfect together. As you can see lebron is very unselfish when it comes to scoring and melo would take the shots lebron wouldn't so that would be a huge load off lebron.

  • @DerkuiDerkui
    @DerkuiDerkui 10 років тому +41

    Bosh at 20.5 million? That's crazy! He's just a role player (at best) for the team. I never seen him score 30, lead the team, or carry the team on his back in crucial situations. He's a third option; therefore, he shouldn't be getting that much or anything near that pay grade. That's ridiculous!

    • @AFunkyDiabetic
      @AFunkyDiabetic 10 років тому +21

      gotta remember that contract wasn't out of hand when he played for the Raptors

    • @JDot-cf5yt

      His average points per game is about 16-20

    • @CrayZesT
      @CrayZesT 10 років тому +7

      bosh isnt that bad, hes arguably the most versatile big in the league. hes hit multiple clutch shots for the heat, mainly 3s. hes a 9 time all star, the all time leading scorer for the raptors. before he went to the heat he avg. 20 and 10 a night.of course hes not going to put up those numbers still, hes the 3rd option now. hes not suppose to carry the team, thats lebrons job. if hes a role player then hes the best role player in the league.

    • @futuregamer1799
      @futuregamer1799 10 років тому

      Bosh was a major role in the heat spurs game 2 so I don't know wat ur talkin bout fool!

    • @xdooski
      @xdooski 10 років тому +1

      You obviously didn't see him play for the Raptors. Bosh is one of the clutches centers in the NBA. He's hit so many threes and saved the Heat's ass so many times. Like 100793793 said, he goes off when LeBron and Wade isn't.

      Carmelo ain't been f'd over as long as Ray he always had shitty teams. Carmelo always played shitty D. The only time in his life he played defense was in college. I truly believe being a nba star and what not he'll never be as great as he was at Syracuse.

    The league wouldn't allow it to happen. I remember David Stern didnt allow Chris Paul to sign with the Lakers because he felt that it was unfair. I thought it was a bad call (because of the Lakers performance the following year), but this would be total crap if Adam Silver allows Melo to go to the Heat with Lebron, Bosh, and Wade.

    Every Superstar has help. That being said out of all the superstars, It seems that Lebron needs the most amount of help to win championships.

    • @Akonkonvictted
      @Akonkonvictted 10 років тому +2

      Lebron can turn it on whenever he needs to in game 4 the 3rd quarter the heat had 21 points 19 of those points came from lebron on 7/7 shooting, his team was not playing defense he held the offensive load but if his team is not going to help him on defense, he cannot lead them to a win, he cannot play defense for all of them, offense he surely can play

    • @isaac-os7xq
      @isaac-os7xq 10 років тому

      ***** I think that's the problem though, it shouldn't always be about those bi-polar fans, if there's an opportunity to get a champion with other stars then you should take it.

    • @FableSoulja
      @FableSoulja 10 років тому +3

      LeBron needs the most help to win championships? He single handedly brought the cavs to the finals and multiple playoff runs. Again, by himself. He just needed a little help to finally win it all. How about KD? He has Westbrook and a bunch of young talent to help him, yet he can't win. Kobe couldn't do it wouldn't Shaq or Fisher.

    • @xHussBus59x

      because the heat bought his remaining two years out, he still counts against the cap so they are still paying him

    • @tommybcuzz
      @tommybcuzz 10 років тому

      Cazius Cray As is said above, the heat are paying him that money and it DOESN'T stand against the salary cap as they did use the amnesty clause. Miller recieves 4.5mil a year from the heat and 1.5 from memphis, whatever money you earn after being amnestied takes away from the original contract

    If Miami is really trying to improve, they need to go for Kevin Love. The dude brings in everything they'll need, unlike Melo. K.Love can rebound, is a great at scoring, and play defense on big men like Tim Duncan and the Pacers since he's 6'10". All Melo can do is score, but jacks up shots most of the time, which would hurt Miami.

    I dont think Melo will go to the Heat because if he won a ring with the big 3 it "wouldn't count." I can see the Wizards signing him. That could help them make the jump from a playoff team to a championship contender.

    • @dawsony27
      @dawsony27 10 років тому +5

      Omg that's actually pretty legit. They would have the best frontcourt in the league. Plus two future superstar guards. Then they could play Ariza as a 6th man. Holy shit.

    I feel like even if Melo joined the Heat they might not be that dangerous. I mean unless Wade was a sixth man or something you're playing small with not a very defensive center in Bosh, as well as four ball handlers on the court at a time.

    • @PaulPetax
      @PaulPetax 10 років тому

      Yeah. I don't think Melo would fit because the lineup would be overwhelmed with too much star power. LeBron is a team player and Melo is purely a scoring machine. Chemistry is messed up, Talents are difficult to utilize to their full extent and it might end up like the Lakers last season. (IMO)

    • @lukeomk

He wanted to win, and he's done that. How many players would give up that much, in their prime, just to win? It's human nature to be greedy.

      Houdini7.62 Thing is, everyone is a beta to LeBron. You might not think so at first, but as the games go on, you become second fiddle to him no matter who you are. Besides, LeBron is a facilitator, so it's not like Melo won't get his touches.

    • @brandonlove4017
      @brandonlove4017 10 років тому

      I think they could co exist essentially. LeBron knows that he is the better player and he will have to show his dominance to let Melo know that he's the leader of the team. Ray Allen might retire and Wade will take the 6th man spot and be that bench power role, and Bosh would probably play more of a role where he is trying to get rebounds and play more like a bigman. They'll probably stop with the small ball if they were going to sign Melo.

    melo already said hes willin to take a pay cut if it means winnin. so if thts the case he should opt out of his current contract and negotiate a new one with the knicks and take less money. As for Miami the best thing for them is if the big 3 are willin to take a pay cut, they should look for a 6th man who can lead a 2nd unit and create his own shot so they don't have to worry about losing a lead when the starters take a break. kinda like james harden was for OKC. they should also look for younger defenders tht they can put on the opposing teams best player/players so lebron n wade can focus more on offense. and they need a defensive big like varejao or asik to take pressure off bosh and play him as a stretch 4. and if they do tht they can continue to be a legit contender for years to come.

    I think melo will opt out and go to the Lakers because I believe he will finally get the sense knocked into him and realize that if he goes to the Lakers with Kevin Love and a few other role players that they would become a serious western conference contender again.
    PG:Anything but Steve Nash 😁
    SG:Kobe Bryant
    SF:Carmelo Anthony
    PF:Kevin Love
    C:Pau Gasol
    Or they could pull off a miracle with a line up like
    PG:Anything but Steve Nash once again

      TheoHill95 If Melo doesn't play defense he wouldn't last in Chicago. Kevin Love isn't a decent defender either.

    This just means #NBA 2014-2015 season will go HAM. So many players are getting better and management are making smarter decisions.

    Chris the reason Carmelo took the sign and trade deal with the Knicks for more money is because his mom told him that the family needed the money at the time because they were going through a difficult time financially. He had a lot of conferences with his mom and his agent and they all decided that at that time that was the best decision to do

    I dont think Melo's worried about the money now. Maybe in the past he was when joining the Knicks but now I believe he seriously wants to win. The thing I dont see him doing is going to a team where he isnt the man, or the go-to guy. I think Chicago is his best fit and thats where he'll end up. There a defensive minded team and their one missing piece is a scorer, plus they dont have a superstar (I dont count Rose cause he's hurt and most likely won't be the same player he once was). Plus the Bulls can offer him a good amount of money which is icing on the cake

    One of your more informative videos, Smoove. Very nice. I don't think Melo ends up in Miami. If he did, does he play the four? LeBron? Could be tons of trouble for the league though. Yet I feel like if they were to get rid of one of the big 3 to attain Melo, I think it would be Wade. He's been hurt a lot and he hasn't been himself. Who then takes the blame if they fail?

    Chris says the heat and Knicks hate each other but in reality how much do people think Melo cares? The only thing he seems to care about it money. Chris also says Melo going to Miami would be like Kobe going to Boston but Ray Allen went to Miami from Boston and look how it turned out for ray

    I like it when Smoove does these kinds of videos. I still think Melo will go to the bulls though like in LeBron's Path to Greatness mode.

    Rivalrys don't matter. Normally players will go to the team they want regardless of rivalries.
