@@divinaarguelles9557 you two both share my philosphy regarding rewatching haikyuu. I've watched all 3 seasons multiple times and for season 1 I can't recall the exact number but I think it's close to 10 times I've rewatched it to experience the unique emotional and motivational feelings that never cease to amaze me

    • @Hydralyph
      @Hydralyph 4 роки тому +107

Yea. As others have said, for some reason whilst other anime lose the emotional and motivational impact after the first or second time watching, Haikyu's writing and direction seems to be able to retain its impact even when you know whats coming.

As a volleyball player and having the season cancelled really took a toll on me and then my coach told me to watch haikyuu, like this dawg of a coach tells me to watch an anime, alright. I do and its honestly one of the best shows I have ever watched and has pushed me to work out during this whole quarantine thing and be the best at my school, HEReS to the future me who will win the division championships in Las Vegas for our highschool volleyball team
Update: I joined a club team outside of highschool and became a really great setter, I then went on to join my JV team for HS and have an undefeated Season with my bois, then they bumped me up to varsity half way through and... although I didn't play much, it was amazing to stand on the court with my brother and his teammates, I shouldn't even say teammates they all felt like family. We went undefeated for Varsity and won our first titles in the volleyball program history but came short when we made it to State Finals. I am not even close to done with my highschool team and I want to be the one on the court the most to bring a title home for my family (my highschool). But damn that loss in State was heart breaking, but honestly I am glad we lost because now it really is up to me and the rest of my team to live up to that hype and get one title for my brothers. In club we also came up short to nationals but ill see some of you there some day and hopefully we get to battle it out at the net. HERES TO FUTURE ME WHO WILL DO THE UNTHINKABLE AND GO TO NATIONALS AND WIN A STATE TITLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY SCHOOLS HISTORY.

I love Haikyuu's soundtracks because they fit so, so well with the theme of 'sports'.
Then I found out Hayashi Yuki used to be a gymnast.
Of course an athlete would know what the heart of sports sounds like.

I feel like the message of this anime is to go beyond what you thought you were capable of. To keep fighting at whatever it is, whether your just trying to succeed in school or change the world. To demonstrate your ability at the highest standard possible, and become the roll model for others so they can follow in your footsteps. And if you do fail, learn from your mistake, and keep fighting with courage and love. Isn't that what it means to be a hero? I copied paste from mha but go there and watch it's so good

I haven't watched an anime series in a very long time (seriously, I don't remember the last time I did). I watched movies, yes, but not a full series with episodes in gods know how long.
So when I found the first season Netflix, of all places, I was interested (always had a fling for sports based animes) and checked out the first episodes. The translation was terrible (portuguese lol), but the interest was there. Searched for episodes with english subs and BOY, was I glad I found all three seasons ready to be watched. Took me two-three weeks to go through them all. I was completely hooked; going back to certain parts, rewatching full epis, listening in on the music, enjoying their moments and absolutely living it to the fullest (who didn't scream during their match with Aobajo or Shiratori??? WHO???).
It reminded me how much I love anime and why the sports ones are my absolute favourites.
Going through the mangas now after rewatching all seasons while waiting for season 4 to make its appearance. I'm in absolute love with this series, mainly because it revived an old flame I thought long extinguished. And it's burning brightly like the sun (no pun intended).

One of reasons why Haikyuu feels so different to me is because it feels so close to reality.
There's no super-powered people, the characters barely have any sort of wierd extravagant colors or styles, (except for a few, but they have logical resons as to why.) they all just feel so real. Just highschoolers who is passionate about playing volleyball, but their journey through it all is everything to me.
Haikyuu made me want to do something with my life. Even though they aren't real, they make me want to somehow be at their level. I don't play volleyball, but I want to be something that fly as high as they do. I want to fly high with my own dreams and goals just like they do.
I'm still young, and I'm aware I have time. But the rush and excitement this anime gives me makes me restless. I want to hurry up and just *fly*

haikyuu is one of the most powerful animes I've watched. i never knew that until i rewatched it around this year. we see the development of every character through hardships, we see their realistic thought processes, and we see what they tell themselves when they feel hopeless or unmotivated. simply, everything leads to us seeing that unwavering desire to be better in each and every one of them, even if life knocks you down, and you feel that everything is impossible. we see them fail. we see them succeed. we cry tears of sadness, but also tears of joy for them, and i wish to apply the lesson i learned from this show to my own goals and succeed as well! we can do it!

What a total disappointment for myself that I haven't watched this before. And a lil bit of happiness that I watched this late so I continued watching it 'til season 4.
Whenever I watch a volleyball match, I am like sticking to one team who I think will win. After I watched this series, I realized that volleyball isn't just what you see in the court. There is also friendship, rivalry, improvement, failures and success.

I've nevered played Volleyball nor watched an actual game in my life. So coming to this anime I knew no knowledge of the sport. Not only im learning the sport little by little but every character has their own individual and unique role in the anime. Of course they have their roles because its a sports anims but these characters stand out. I love them all for who they are and their personalities. They represent us in our daily lives by putting time and effort into something we genuinely love and that's Volleyball for them. For me, I can connect and feel their struggles to strive to be a better team because I was in a team before back in high school. I played water polo and same like karasuno, we weren't the best in the beginning but we always wanted to strive for better and not give up. I understand every players feelings and motivation because I was there as a player too. I understand the meaning of working as a team and to play your heart out even tho the odds are against you. I relate to Daichi the most out of everyone because like him, I was captain of my team our senior year. We both weren't the stars or bench warmers. Him and I understand that our schools were once being powerhouses and want to do anything to make that happen again. We never stopped believing, we always held and hoped for the best of our teams. In the game we both had to keep the teams foundation up to keep moving forward. I was like Daichi, I was apart of a team like Karasuno. This is why I love this anime. Not because I played volleyball or watched volleyball but I like this anmie because I knew how it felt being on a team before. And also believe you dont have to be in a sports team too to like this anime. As long you were apart of something or dedication to something you enjoyed and put your 100% in, then you can feel for this anime. This anime is unique.

This anime resonates with me so much. I can relate to it so much more than any other anime out there, the sad moments are honestly even worse than watching a character die...for me. Because I don't know what it feels like to watch someone die, but I know exactly what it feels like to lose or feel those emotions that Haikyuu portrays. The most amazing thing about this anime is that anyone who does/did sports will KNOW how hard it is to be defeated, and it's one of the worst feelings in the world. It's also a very difficult thing to overcome the actuality of defeat and Haikyuu shows that no matter what type of challenges come our way, whether we win or lose, we can learn from it and do better.

Since it was only middle school, my teammates weren't serious (girls team). It didn't push me down, contradictory I made them fired up as well. I met extraordinary people on tournaments and made great friendships that I still have. I also loved Volleyball, but never knew the rules at that time.. but when I spiked the ball... It felt heavenly. Watching Haikyuu makes me want to go back to sports so bad.

"farewell my paradise" hits you differently when you have actually played your last match!
the pain is not explainable! You know in the back of your mind you are gonna leave sports and move on to job/college and this is your last game!

This is one of the best anime I've seen, I can watch this anime too many times and I'll never be tried or bored. The message, the story, the character growth is just amazing and beautiful. This anime motivates me and makes me feel that I can do anything!

and the music just an ordinary music like others..

I felt so much motivation from haikyuu. I started vball when I was 16 because of haikyuu. I relate so much to Hinata. I was short, but I could "fly." So, I loved shoyo since the beginning. But soon enough the motivation stopped for me and didn't play anymore. But I will never forget that experience. We can all do anything when we have that much motivation 💪💪
