I think it’s pretty reckless for a company to build a methanol kit into a car, and clearly not explain the system to the owner. FFS, they don’t even know it’s methanol, they keep calling it meth or methane… When TJ was pouring it into the tank the first time without a funnel… OMG.
This 100%. This is a bad situation which probably could've been disastrous. Shouldn't be running 100% meth anyway, should be using a mix. The company that built this screwed the pooch on this water meth install. Why is there no low level sensor ffs? At least the guys did a little research and learned about the fire dangers of methanol.
I was thinking that you were over reacting until I watched to see them show the puddle on the ground and then watched TJ rub his hand in it. Time for these guys to learn the dangers. The heat from the engine alone can start a fire. I'm embarrassed for them.
They should send techs out to come fix it regardless if you're doing it yourself or not. They did the work and they made a mistake. This is their reputation as a company on the line. If this car goes in flames, they're done for.

The c8 is by far my most favorite car to date and I’ve been a sub since the Calvin teej installing Miley’s exhaust in Calvin’s garage days. Probably since before then too. Been a sub for a long time. Out of the cars the c8 is my top top favorite build you have done.
Your videos are so fun to watch, entertaining, educational and hilarious at times. You are a great group of guys (and gals, not forgeting Sabrina)... KEEP MOVING FORWARD!
Awesome vid. Teej. I'd say whenever you get a chance to work on something your unfamiliar with it a learning opportunity. Also things always come up even after much checking and testing. It happens.
You can use boost juice or other brands that have 50% methanol for 15 a gallon or use blue -20 degree windshield washer fluid with 40% methanol for 5 a gallon
Honestly the c8 as a platform is a nightmare, sure it looks great but everyone that has done twin set up has blown the clutch out or the engine. I would’ve loved to see a c7 zr1 pushing 1200 too 1500 hp. I get the c8 is new and it’s a process but it just seems like such a money pit for such little reward. Love the videos though as always
