Did this tonight and it went very well. A couple of pointers: you are never getting under the edge of the back glass without thin metal. I bought a kit with a suction cup and a guitar pick and there was just no way no matter how hot I got the phone. I ended up slicing a beer can in half and making a few assorted edges out of it and got it under there. I used a hair dryer BTW. Once you're under, put more heat on it to get something stiffer under it in the same spot (like a guitar pick) and then you can go around the perimeter by heating it and sliding along. I was very careful at the corners. Use your head pulling it off too. You could easily break the back glass prying it on the ends. Use the sides and keep applying heat and sliding your pick around.
The other thing I would say is yes, you need some adhesive for the battery. There's none on the replacement and you can't re-use the original (it's just brushed on). I didn't use anything and there's a very tiny rattle when you shake it. Doesn't bother me one bit, just giving the info.
Finally, watch this guy carefully for the order re-assembling. I paused at every step to make sure. The only trouble I had at all assembling it is where he had a little trouble: getting that rectangular thing at the top to snap in. I was super worried about damaging something but you need to press it a little. Make sure you slide it underneath the housing first like he does after the second or third try.
Thanks for this video. $250 + 90 minutes saved a $1,200 phone.
Thank you sir, followed your video, saved a couple hundred in repair costs.
If you use a heat gun do not stay in the same place for at most for a couple seconds, you'll melt whatever you're doing. Also be incredibly careful with the battery.
Hi
I will like to replace my Samsung 10 plus screen it broken
I called sprint to get my screen fixed 9n my note 10+ & they said it was to new no parts out yet .but i see you got parts.i hope they get em soon cuz its only 32 bucks with insurance to fix .but great video if i didn't have insurance i would definitely buy one and fix myself.thanks
Parts are very expensive...
Hello there where can I get all the Equipment from to repair a Note 10 plus? THX U FOR SHARING A USFUL Contents
Everybody DO NOT use metal tools like this on a battery. Heat, suction cups, and alcohol will do the trick. I've seen a battery go up in flames from a plastic tool even. If you can't get it with that, use a playing card, but more alcohol should do it.
I've never heard of using IPA for the adhesive, I'll have to try that
well, it happend with me..
If the battery lights up wont the alcohol light up too?
Are there other types of glue that you recommend for the back cover besides the T-7000 glue? Also, all those screws that you removed, were they phillips or pentalobe or something else? Thank you!
So why not use a suction cup and plastic tools to remove the back?
I assume you heated up the battery adhesive by putting the phone screen side down on the hot plate? It may not be clear to some people that you don't put the battery face down on the hot plate. I use a playing card dipped in isopropyl alcohol to slide under the Samsung batteries. Takes a couple of minutes, but It means no heat or prying.
Can you not get the genuine back panel adhesive yet for that phone?
Good video, thanks.
Because you need something sharp to cut through the thick adhesive. Also my videos detailed. I don't want to take forever to remove the back... Yes t7000 glue will seal it up.
I would trust the IPrating after work is done, especially given that Samsung have machines/ highly skilled technicians in their assembly lines.
I'll be sure to take extra caree of my Note10+
Stationed across seas phone was ran over by hmmwv and insurance will not honor the 360 insurance ive bern paing on the phone. So i need to fix it myself now. Can you tell me where i can get the frame and figitizer seems how mine has taken the shape of a tire
What is the width of the tesa tape that you used? Also, can the same steps apply to the Note 10 or does this video only apply to the Note 10 Plus?
My note 10 plus glass got cracked from edge what should I do should I get it replacement or stay with it ? Samsung said we dont fix glass or screen In warranty ☹😢
Up to you if you want to pay the price.
Have a small crack on from left hand corner dealing with it for now until the price comes down to fix.... Also very disappointed in my case it was a soft drop.
I got a crack on my touch screen, i don't even know how it's happened!
What kind of heat gun do you recommend? Does it depend on the voltage?
There are black spots on the glass after it is broken. Will the black spots go away if the glass is changed?
I dropped mine, are dead pixels fixable without replacing to whole screen?
Why do you need to remove the back to replace the front screen. I bought a replacement front screen and it doesnt look like the front is attached to it
Dustin i went to Injured gadgets and they are out of the Samsung note 10 plus repair kits. Do you have another supplier you have confidence in?
Not currently but I could sell you my used unit that I have. It would be 220 it has some scratches on it. If interested there’s a contact info in the description
@@TechMDUA-cam do you still have the used unit?
As an advocate for the right to repair, I saw so much wrong with this video. We're trying to show the manufacturers that we can do this type of work responsibly, and effectively. First, no gloves. Hand prints, and oils can cause issues inside the device. Second, no ESD safety. He's not properly grounded. Static discharge can cause a slew of issues. Third, NEVER use metal tools to open the device. Not only do you risk breaking the cover, you can short internal components, while battery is still connected. Use a flexible pick, or playing cards. Fourth, NEVER reuse the old adhesive gasket. Buy a whole new one. Heat the old one up, and carefully remove with PLASTIC tools. Fifth, and arguably most important, NEVER pry, or bend the battery! Use a SMALL amount of rubbing alcohol on a black stick, and carefully remove. You risk damaging the device further, and more important, your well being. I'm not trying to hate here, its just frustrating with the misinformation going around.
Pat Yakis All incorrect. You really know nothing about devices do you? I’ve been doing this for 18 years and all that is just a bunch of nonsense.
@@TechMDUA-cam By disagreeing with BASIC electronic repair principles, I have nothing more to discuss with you. I went to school for this, and have been doing this for over 10 years. A basic Google search will pull up a Plethora of knowledge regarding my previous statements. This is nothing more than some constructive critisim. I've done things wrong, I'm not perfect, but I try to listen. I don't want to start a flame war, Im merely discussing what I saw. I did appreciate the links you've provided for Samsung parts.
@@SteveFrench585 disagree. That is not required when fixing phones. 🤣
@@SteveFrench585 I agree with Pat, this looks like some backyard diy side job. Just a battery explosion waiting to happen.
Not only is Pat correct...you are gouging your customer. $400 insurance plus $400 repair and you can’t even be bothered to get the matching color for your customer and you’re putting it on the customer to not be too upset about it...INCREDIBLE!
How do you remove the front camera??
So I did the repair and the weirdest thing happens. The microphone doesnt work. But when I take out top plastic bracket and wireless charging coil microphone works fine. Put it back and doesn't work again. What can it be?

Enjoyed the video, is there a way to buff out a micro-scratch?
No not that I know of.
Mexico lol... they fix anything
Yes, try Liquid screen protector!
What's the benefit of using your service over an authorized repair center?
None that I know of.
@@TechMDUA-cam Well I thank you for your honest answer. Still trying to decide if I should fix my broken note 10 or not.
The benefit I can think of is that OP showed you the way he went through his process. You won’t be aware of what other repair shops do.
OP,
I liked that response very much.
I reccomend having phone insurance if you got a phone worth over 1k. Just broke my screen on 10 plus and trough insurance I only pay 100 for a new phone. Only downside is I might not get the same color.
Is the Note 10 plus and Note 10 plus 5g screen assembly compatible?
What about the ultrasonic fingerprint?
It’s integrated into the display. So it gets replaced. Everything would work like normal.
I would NEVER send a piece of ANY electronic device to you. I am a tech buff, I may not repair phones but just from watching this video and seeing your sloppiness, coughing, just blatant disregard for such a high valued phone helped me make my mind up on never to send you shit. Thank you and good day. I hope your customer didn’t ever watch this video.
How to fix lcd screen on it and how much
Mine just fell and cracked from the bottom left it and I had a case on it pretty disappointed in the case
You should be disappointed in yourself for dropping such expensive phone lol
I dropped my one aswell today pretty annoying also had screen protector and clear-view case i had.
How did i drop it.. well i was leaving my mums car today and i was on a video chat to my friend as i was closing the door it shoked me pretty hard i shat my self and dropeed the phone as soon as it landed i knew it was done...
Screen was still working but since it actualy broke the amoled display inside aswell the phone started to malfunction flickering and now the screen doenst turn on. except if i spam the button and it will be a chance of like 5% unlocking pretty dead...
Is there a way to just replace the glass itself without the whole chassis?
Yes
Do you know where to buy the flex cables that run over the top of the battery? :)
Try ebay
where can u please share the link or tell me where I can get the screen to buy plz ??
Do you know how to see a description under the video? The click show more
@@TechMDUA-cam yh think so it's the arrow in the corner right .. n u mention 3% discount right .. any other site ?
@@TechMDUA-cam i dont see the show more button? where the heck is it. its gottw be right there and im just not seeing it right? cracked screen here but also my keyboard is messed up. when i txt via thumbs, allot of times ill hit the "b" but if i strike it with rt thumb (usual thumb for it) it will pu letters beside it, yet if i strike it with left thumb it comes up perfect. i have a cpl letters like that. And yes ive checked im hitting the correct letter with my thumb. i took the dummy out of the equasion. so do i need to also see about a keyboard panel or what ?
thank you btw helpful video for sure.
I just broke my new samsung note 10 plus today 😭😭😭 i got it as a chistmas gift a month ago and today it fell from my desk in class, the glass isnt much broken but the diplay dosent work anymore im only 13 and the repair cost 300 dolllars idk what to do im really sad and my parent are mad at me
Sorry to hear that. Yeah it’s not cheap
I hope they hate themself because they Bought a 13 year old child a 1000€ or 1000$ phone!!!
I mean A Galaxy A50 for 300 would be fine as well but WHY THE FUCK A 1000$ PHONE?
I am 22 and could never pay that shit, so buy a case and screen protector kid!
I know What to do, sell your Xbox or Playstation 😅
@@TechMDUA-cam can u Please tell me where I can get this original screen to buy
Leshous Blake In the link in the description
Why do you need to replace the frame??
That's how it comes, weird I know. I was surprised. After watching a different video I see why you wouldn't replace the glass, this is a pain as it is, doing the glass, most people would break that too.
If you're going to damage the back glass while removing it, you should replace it for free. I had my phone repaired and didn't realize till after I paid that the repair technician had damaged the back glass by removing the paint along the perimeter.
hot plate.... hahaha, just take the cooler off your Intel i9-12900KS CPU and set it on there as they get to 80 to 105 degrees Celsius
O this is easy
Could you describe replacing the camera lens
It would be very similar to other camera lens replacement. You need to take up the back first then you can take it off
Good video but I'm disappointed in the fact that you didn't show how to transfer the cables the are tucked into the sides of the frame. That was the only reason I needed to watch this.
Hello, do you know of any other suppliers with genuine parts? it looks like InjuredGadgets is out of stock, and don't even see the Aura Blue option.
Thanks,
Matt
Matt Walls where are you located
@@dorehdonya80 about 20 miles south of Dallas, Texas.
i managed to seperate the glass screen before the entire actual display came off XD
Does this kit come with a battery.
The note 10 plus I have won't charge more than 2% because of the broken screen.
It has a bad pierce on the lower right. Phone turns on surprisingly and still works even with a hole on the bottom right. And half the bottom screen is completely black yet still sensor functional
No it does not and I highly doubt your battery is defective already if it is replace the screen and send it in to Samsung for a battery replacement for free. It could be just your charger.
No one around me says they can fix my screen on my note 10+ , can I pay to do it, it barely cracked only tiny bit in top right corner but because it's so new I want it looking new. I do not have insurance

what if i ship the phone do you put them on and how much?
Michael Moran yes $70 That’ll include return shipping. As long as you include the part.
@@TechMDUA-cam how and where do i ship it
when the part comes in
I tried and your coupon code does not work
Looking into it
Are all the screws the same size? Lol
Yes
Its March 2020. Who's here coz they broke their Note 10 plus screen. COMMENT THE REASON. mine is by OneWheel.
Mine took a flying leap face first into gravel. It doesn't have any cracks but now "several battle size wounds" divots in it. I have insurance though so it'll just be a $200 deductible (I hope). I'm definitely not sending it in hoping that it gets repaired correctly and paying $400 through this dude.
How do you send to fix a regular note 10 screen
Call or email us. All the information is in the description.
Congratulations buddy first time you take off a screen 👏 on a note 10 lol smh 🤦
What a hack job for $400.....
Eric Bouchard Thanks for the critical feedback can you tell me how I could improve?
@@TechMDUA-cam not scratch the paint off the glass back....take all the old adhesive off and replace it with the correct adhesive....use the same color frame as she had before...ect.
@@TechMDUA-cam ua-cam.com/users/hughydo watch his video's for tips.
Eric Bouchard Yeah I see where you’re coming from typically don’t scratch any of the paint when removing the back. And replacing the adhesive is something that you can do but it’s not always easy finding. I just try to provide a solution that’s easy for People to do at home. My videos are not geared to professional side of the business.
