    As a struggling chemical engineering student, i have understood you very well, much better than my teacher. Thanks for explaining each formula and how they transform. Great video

    You did a great job overall!! I usually struggle with foreign accents, but you spoke very fluently. I appreciate your time and effort man! We need more people like you in university!

    Big peter was talkin' about this in class. I know because I got the recording! And I still got it wrong on midterm 2.

    Great video. But can u tell me why due to the integral term the graph of pfr changes...I have to tell to my students.

    • @SealSchool
      @SealSchool  4 роки тому

      The graph is the data plot of 1/(-ra) vs Xa . It is obtained experimentally .

    • @kishoreh91
      @kishoreh91 3 роки тому +1

      @safraj, integral of dXA/-ra from 0 to XA is the area under the experimental curve. and for CSTR, its the area of the rectangle as no integral is involved

    Can you please tell me why the back mixing decreases as we increase the number of CSTR????/

    • @SealSchool
      @SealSchool  3 роки тому

      As you increase the number of CSTR's in series the system tends to become a PFR, you can visulize this by the fact that each CSTR is a plug of the plug flow reactor where only radial mixing will occur ,but no axial mixing .

    Sir, at high Reynolds number, we will obtain turbulent flow.. how it is different from plug flow?? Please sir explain. Tomorrow I have VIVA EXAM.

    • @SealSchool
      @SealSchool  4 роки тому +3

      Limax,When the reynolds number is very high (even higher than that for a terbulant flow regime) we have the concept of a plug flow(fluid flowing in plugs).
      Stay subscribed,i will try to upload a video on this.

      @@SealSchool Is is true that there is no ideal CSTR or PFR and most reactors are somewhere in between the two extremes ?
      Also have people designed turbulent flow and laminar flow reactors ?

    • @SealSchool
      @SealSchool  3 роки тому

      Yes,a cstr and a pfr are used to model reactors in daily life .Ideal pfr is not possible ,because plug flow is just a concept !
      All the best @Venkat
