I see four factors: Focus, Authority, Tribe and Emotion flipping in the 3rd Act that will be renewing. These factors deserve to be realigned.
This is why Puccini had so much trouble writing it. The jealous and controlling behavior of his wife, the accusations against the young woman that led to the young woman's premature suicide shattered their marital relationship. He would have had enormous cognitive bias caused by shame.
Calaf does not openly have the issues Puccini seems to me to identify with at a personal level. It would explain why resolving the 3rd act would involve dealing with his own chaos.
I am very fascinated with your efforts to assign new meanings both musically and textually. It also occurs to me that the concept of justification or forgiveness of sin weighs upon this. Surely Calaf is a Justified man who lives by Faith. Turandot must find her Faith and that is in the power of Love, which can free her.
I look forward to hearing more.
