You may use to-go containers from restaurants OR www.dickblick.com/products/inovart-printfoam-for-block-printing/ . I like the re-purposing of the to-go containers but you do have to cut them down to size and flat.
Did you omit the step where you transfer design to "foam" because Ihave no idea how you did this.It looks like you drew with pencil on paper and then covered that with ink, which wouldn't make sense.You have no raised elements to catch the ink.
it's thin styrofoam. you can buy it specifically for this purpose from art supply stores, or you can use the foam trays that meat and vegetables are sold on.
