Notice the slight slight, very slight similarities in melody to K.Lumsy's theme in Dk64. This was likely repurposed in some way into his theme I'm guessing.
I hear bits of Army Dillo, Krem Isle and K. Lumsy in here too. I love how you can trace bits and pieces of DK64, Banjo and even Viva Piñata’s soundtracks back to this game
The different instruments in the BK soundfont have upper limits to their pitch - so those out-of-tune horns at 0:15 and around 0:28ish are likely the result of that channel's instrument being changed from Tuba/Trombone to Trumpet, but then not being pitched coreectly to compensate for the Trumpets different upper pitch limit
@@tdark987 oh hey no problem at all! 👍 There's all sorts of other music oddities that get "hidden" from the player too - things like limits on how many notes can play at once, or how there are extra voice lines for Mumbo that go unused!

I never knew Shrek was a project dream character.
Yeah no kidding

Notice in the cover Grunty is a giant. See the tiny minions on her hat?
+Gary James its just some abstract box art she was going to be a giant organelle
0:00 *When Shrek realizes there's no onions on his pizza*
I just had a dream about well.. dream, land of giants where the main character was fighting off against ogres
0:39 this sounds like a beginning of a rap battle
1:17 I think I here some of Mad Jack from Donkey Kong 64 in there...
You mean, you hear some BK in Dk64, seeing as how this game came out first and the music wasnt purposed for dk64
+Terrell Williams He only mentioned that one part was used in dk64. He never said that he thinks dk64 would have come out first.
I hear bits of Army Dillo, Krem Isle and K. Lumsy in here too.

@@TheMasterOfOmni1900 once again, he probably meant that part was repurposed for DK64
0:15...OUCH! You can tell this one never got far into development.
0:40 is interesting though, reminds me a little of Holst's Mars
0:40 Sounds similar to a part of King K Rool from dk64
0:15 is pretty hilarious

@@RiposteBK Kudos for the info.
It’s always interesting to get insight into the various development limitations behind a game.

1Darkmatter64 Let me guess. You think it sounds similar to 1:37 in the Mad Jack theme?
Is there a download these days for this album? I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore. The Grant Kirkhope site no longer has it available.
I believe he said he was "encouraged" to take it down to avoid legal action, so I'm not sure if it's available anywhere anymore.

You going to meet the Nasty Gruntilda even if you like it or not banjo so which way I am kicking .
Yes I am referencing Shrek The Third .
this should be a remix of the final boss gruntilda
I think this was repurposed to that but that’s just speculation
POV: Dart Veder finish toilet paper
Kinda sounds like the puffer fish boss from DK64.
same strings and piccolo
