In Rhino, the Scale1D command changes the size of selected objects in one direction. To scale an object in Rhino 5, you can:
-Type "Scale" in the upper lefthand box
-Select the "Scale 1D" option
-Select the first box
-Provide a reference line or an origin point
-Pick a point to scale or type in a dimension for accurate resizing
