This is a marvellous creation, far better than the snidey self referential family guy inspired stuff and even that was tremendous in its time. Admittedly not as many giggles but with oodles more pathos, this is I feel a fab christmas special.

Untrue. The Doctor (10 AND 11) celebrated Christmas with Rose/Amy and their families, respectively... Perhaps not in the Tardis, but also...this is not that Doctor. This is a cartoon incarnation of him. Lighten up, Francis. And Happy Holidays. :)
