Eramis: "This is actually just my unfiltered dogshit opinion of humanity, there is no 'but' or begrudged 'thank you' at the end of this." Good riddance, I guess.
It's amazing really. Especially in the novelisation, Megatron was way more reasonable than Eramis was about his redemption. She's trying to act like this tortured messiah, Megatron OWNED his warcrimes and just admitted he was tired and wanted to save what was left of Cybertron.
@@ThissentenceisfalselosersTo me, her redemption isn’t earned, and isn’t redeemed in my book. Maybe in the future she’ll suffer some consequences and be forced to make an arms length alliance with us when some overwhelming force comes to destroy Old Riis and a new generation of Elksni. Maybe then she’ll own up to it and seek real atonement? That’s the start to the path to redemption. But, who knows? If she comes crying for help aginst the Hive, or an army of Taken, Scorn, and Dread amassed by a resurrected Nezarec, I only see a few dozen Guardains and Coalition forces coming to her aid. We’ll have to wait and see. Or, she may announce Old Riis as neutral and isolated to other factions. But, Neomuna tried that and look where it got them? Calus and the Witness found them anyway. In the Destiny universe, being isolationist is a death sentence. You can’t hide from death for long.
...So is she unaware or just ignoring that the Witness is to blame for all of her loss? Seriously I won't say humanity had no hand in Eliksni suffering after they arrived in Sol but for fucks sake the Traveler bailed because the Witness laid siege to Riis! Stop blaming us for that shit!
Plus, while lore mentions Elksni scouts tried to parlay with humanity, it’s hard to say who fired the first shot. The Dark Age and Collapse was centuries ago. Both humanity and Elksni are responsible for bad blood between the two. What matters now is we’re forging a future together. Let Eramis muddle in the past. But no doubt there’ll be debate whether we help her if the Hive or someone else chooses to conquer Old Riis. Maybe then, she’ll own up to it. She can’t blame one side, humanity, as if she and other Houses did nothing wrong. Both parties made that distrust between both races.
At the very least she takes a majority of the intolerant Fallen and makes an attempt to repair Riis, not happy about its choice either but it’s an improvement if it’s being used for something other than being pointed at the city.
@@toalorikan626It may not be a very satisfying ending, at least not in our favor. But, it’s the lesser of two evils: Fikrul having kept it, or falling into the wrong hands that want to kill all of us. I have a feeling, while Old Riis may take an isolationist/neutral stance, that won’t last long. Look how that turned out for Neomuna? You’re never truly safe or hidden in the Destiny universe. Someone or something finds you, and wants to kill your whole civilization. Or infect it. I predict, an outside force will force Eramis’ hand. As we explore beyond Sol, she will call us to save Riis from some Hive God or warlord too powerful for them to beat. Maybe she dies and is reborn as a Guardian? The way of the Traveler’s silence in my eyes, is: reviving somone with a clean slate and powers of paracusality, is to give them the chance to define a new destiny for themselves. A second chance. Maybe Eramis will become worthy of that? Being able to let go of her hate for Humanity and the Great Machine. But until then, we’ll just have to see how long she and Riis last against the forces out there that would snuff out her light.
I think that may come back to haunt her as some type of karma in the future. Maybe in Frontiers when she calls US for help. Maybe then she owns her mistakes to try and kill two races and millions others. But as far as I’m concerned, she still has long yo go to redeem herself. Let alone wanting to atone.

This is basically that original Dark of the Moon ending with Megatron giving up and leaving to rebuild Cybertron, except he wasn't a dick about it lol

Gonna miss you too, Eramis.

Genuinely just ignoring the truth and the reality she sucked up to the Witness first chance she got.

Eramis has a lot of gall to be talking about putting down the sword after literally trying to annihilate all of humanity TWICE.
