I thing to Add on Disruptor. The (+shield) damage was not changed. So in PVP disruptor got a straight AOE buff. This will make PVP even more swingy as you can pop like 6 stalkers in a shot instead of 4 now.
making the disruptor do little to no damage just means that it goes from being a gamble with some reward to a gamble with no reward. There is simply put no reason to build the disruptor in the new patch, because they just dont do any damage. They dont even 1 shot a marauder or a roach anymore.
Thx for yr comment 😊. Yes the reward got lower, but i think the win probability of the gamble got higher because with the larger radius it is more likely to do damage 👍
its a shame that one hard counter to "running junkies" become soft counter.... feels like this hole game is balanced around "lets not hurt "mmm" marauder has currently one counter while it counters basically all but zealots and immortals?
Good thoughts, nice to hear a Zerg's perspective. I think that the sheield battery should be compensated with a slightly higher recharge rate, more energy, and a lower cost to recharge. That would be a compensatory nerf, removes the need for orvercharge, but also allows the battery to not be ridiculous in certain engagements. It would allow for better unit selection and micro and would force better macro. The immortal nerf was totally unnecessary. The reduced cost is good. They just need to return it to its normal level of damage. The MS is the dumbest one, in my opinion. The new energy ability is cool. It should not have a universal cool-down and should just cost energy. If they remove the universal cool down they should increase the energy cost, but also make the energy overcharge recharge a unit completely. To make it even better, they should allow deployed warp prisms to be able to use the ability in the field for pvt to help mitigate emp. Any energy unit in the energy field of the WP should get the ability, but maybe at a reduced rate. I think its fair since a Terran can just use their energy infinitely from the CC. They can drop mules, etc. But protoss has to be by a nexus. Let the ability be from pylons or from warp prisms, but make the ability a research item at the robo bay. It would help the late game, imo, and would let protoss us their energy once there is nothing left to chrono.
My thoughts on the Mothership nerf is that they wanted to buff Tempest but were too scared, which is why they nerfed it's range. Mothership is a part of that because it's always made with tempest armies, so you make it so that you can get more incremental value when you abduct it and it lowers total army supply a little bit. At least now the Mothership does a rave lightshow before it immediately dies. Protoss is not allowed a change unless it's accompanied by a nerf.
regarding disraptor, it was very weak already, its not easy to control, its 150 150 4 unit which is more then libirator by far, it cannt attack and its slow. If it does not kill in 1 shot it pretty much useless, and now you cant kill stem maroder, roaches 2 shot lurker and so on. And what would it do for gm protoss? disruptors are gone it was too expensive and underwhelming now its even worse.
Interesting to hear from a Toss perspective 👍. Yeah Protoss is certainly not in a good spot now, i heard even Hero is considering swotching to Terran 😐

Yeah its pitiful that the ultimate protoss unit's main purpose is to get abducted and die in 5 sec. now even more painful with 400/400 cost
