One of the better performances I've seen on UA-cam, magnificent! Do we know where to find the specification of this organ? I'm almost certain I heard a 32' reed towards the end.

Some exquisite legato here, although I prefer the performance of this work by Daniel Roth, but this is compelling nonetheless. And unlike Roth's at times hammer-heavy registration at St Sulpice, I thought this registration was outstanding. I cried with joy when I heard this. Merci maître!
One of the best interpretations in the UA-cam. The articulation is very clear, the registration chosen reflects the aesthetics of the French Symphonic organs, especially the Cavaille Coll organ of Saint Sulpice for which Widor wrote this piece. It's a worthy of note performance.
What are you comparing this to to say its one of the best? yes its very good but I believe there many good renditions maybe some better on youtube - I have now listened 4 times to this and it is really really good

Bien belle interprétation de cet allegro qui figure parmi mes pièces favorites de ChM Widor. J'en connaissais déjà plusieurs versions sur des orgues prestigieux ( St Sulpice, St Sernin, ST Ouen, Nancy-cathédrale...) mais pas la votre sur cet instrument puissant que je ne connais pas. Des anches de Pédale tonitruante ( bombarde 16' et contre-bombarde 32' ? Grand Merci à vous !
complément : j'en apprends davantage sur Wikipedia, bien utile : "...(la Basilique) possède un orgue réalisé par Charles Didier-Van-Caster (1852-1906), achevé en 1907. Il a été inauguré le 30 mai 1907 par Charles-Marie Widor2. Cet instrument comprend 48 jeux répartis sur trois claviers et pédalier et dispose de deux registres de 32 pieds (Bourdon 32 et contrebombarde 32).
L'instrument a bénéficié d’un relevage avec retour au plus proche de la composition d’origine entre 2016 et 2019. Il a été béni et inauguré le 2 juin 2019"

Tracker or not, why would you build an organ in the 21st century without combination action? It has no negative impact on the sound and you don’t need console assistants to help you play it. Authenticity is about sound not cumbersome registration changes!
FYI : This organ has been built in 1907, and the recent work was voluntary, in order to save the organ from ruin.
Thanks for that info. Too bad they couldn’t raise sufficient funds to add stop,action, the organists job would have been less trying. It sounds awesome however!
