This popped right up when I searched “mounting knife rack on tile!” I was thinking of drilling holes and using anchors. Thanks for saving me a bunch of time, money, and potential damage! The music is fine!!!!
@@KnifewearKnives It's just true. It's not just some "feedback", this is objectively your production screwup. It's a technical issue: the levels of your music should be 12dB minimum lower when you are talking.
Thanks for showing how it's done properly! I find the background music a bit too loud against your suuuper low voice, had to put captions on. Does anyone have similar thought or am I neurotic? ;)
Anyone ever mount the magnetic strip vertically? And then place the knives on it horizontally (balance out the weight of the individual blades of course).
For sure! It can happen, basically the strong magnets in the blocks can align the particles within the steel and magnetize it. It shouldn't have a negative effect on it though!

Lovin your video! Only thing that sucks is all the cry babies who are complaining about the music in the video. Same people who cry for cookies and milk from mommy at night. Everything makes them annoyed and crying. Men too. That's funny Ugh Cry babies! I'm trying magnetic tape and putting it on side of my refrigerator, NOT THE FRONT because it could hurt someone, the side and no one has access to beneath that area.

Glad I could help!
Yes, using an adhesive on tile is the right approach.
I use the stainless ones and they've been working great for over a year now and cleans easy too.
Best video of the sort on YT. Thanks.
Thank you!
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
bruh I like your videos, but your background music is unnecessarily loud
Thanks for the feedback, well definitely keep it in mind on future videos!
Yeah the music is nice but damn hard to hear you with headphones @@KnifewearKnives

Great video, so well explained, thank you so much.
Thank you!

Great content.
The background music was pretty distracting though.
Would you advise against putting it on a white marble ? If not how do you get it off the wall once you want to move it ?
I don't see why you'd have an issue, but the double sided tape will take some patience and careful scraping to remove if you take it down.
4:13 can these wall dog screws go through wall stud? There are wall studs where I want to mount mine. Thanks!
If it's a wood stud, it shouldn't be an issue, but I'd just use a regular screw at that point!
Can you apply the tape to a stainless steel knife bar?
I would assume so! Be careful with stainless, they can scratch and chip blades fairly easily.
@@KnifewearKnives Thanks! I'm always careful with my German knives.
Thanks man
awesome video thx !
Can you use some kind of double sided tape to hang these?
Yup! I use gorilla tape to hang on tile. I wouldn't use it on drywall though, it'll pull off your paint.
Anyone ever mount the magnetic strip vertically? And then place the knives on it horizontally (balance out the weight of the individual blades of course).
I've tried, but they slide down sadly. Have you had success with this?
@knifewear I have heard of these can also sometimes magnetize the blades itself. Can you explain on that a bit?
For sure! It can happen, basically the strong magnets in the blocks can align the particles within the steel and magnetize it. It shouldn't have a negative effect on it though!
can the double-sided tapes be removed? Gorilla tape says it "bonds permanently"
It can be removed from tile! It requires a little scraping or goo gone, but I've been able to remove it no problem.
How would we remove the strip?
From tile, you can gently pry it off and use alcohol to remove any tape residue!
So screwing into the stud isn’t necessary.
I would have watched to the end but the bloody annoying music prevented that. Why was it necessary to have background music at all.
Thanks for the feedback, well definitely keep it in mind on future videos!
@@KnifewearKnives dude only the mentally slow can't do both, the music was fine. Video was good too.

@@MG-cd9ek Thanks for your enlightening response. The fact that the music got on my tits has nothing to with multi tasking. You silly little person.
