If you like Taemin's smile, you'll be happy to know that he is actually very smiley off stage. People who know him from his moody, dark and sensual MVs are surprised how soft and sweet he is in real life. He does have lighter MVs as well, Think of You being one of them. He shows his cute side there :) Also he is younger by over a year than Baekhyun, not older. He just debuted earlier than him, but he was really young back then.

Baekhyun is older than Taemin. He just debuted earlier than Baekhyun at the young age. I stan SuperM next to my super ult SHINee. This year will be my busiest year i think coz SHINee ,SuperM and Taemin solo will have their grand comeback once Baekhyun and Taemin free from their military service.

Yes, more Taemin please 💜 I'd suggest watching Advice last (and all the songs you suggested plus Black Rose, Heaven, Ace, Danger, etc.) since it was the last song he dropped before enlisting. Taemin is also responsible for helping with SuperM by fine tuning their outfits, choreography, production due to artistic vision and experience directing his own songs and mvs. Enjoy your Taemin journey!
I recommend listening to the full album, because the infinity/monster song you listen to is actually two separate songs that we mashed up. And they’re incredible separately as well. Plus the rest of the album is so good I think you’ll like it.❤😊😊
SuperM is probably my fave group under SM, next to Shinee. ( I checked them out because I only listened to Taemin at the time.) Thanks to SuperM, I was introduced to NCT WayV, and Kai! (I don't stan Exo, just casual listening. But I do stan Kai)
SuperM is such a collection of incredible talent, as is SHINee. Really hope you get into Taemin in the future (he is my Ult Ult), but SHINee and all its' members solos are worth a look. I think you'd especially like Taemin and Key. And SuperM's b-sides are the real gold. Even if you don't react to them, I recommend listening to them on your own time.

We Do is actually a CF for Prudential Insurance to promote healthy living through moving/dance... there was a whole dance challenge with it where fans sent in videos of them doing the point choreo and the guys reviewed them. It was cute.... bright and fluffy SuperM! Jopping and 100 are growers for sure... but they will get stuck in your head. I recommend watching the SuperM trailers and the Taemin x Kai x Ten dance performance video.
Yeh 100 wasn’t my cup of tea and Jopping grew on me (Mark’s rap and that bridge 🤰🏾). But this group is something else 🥵 SM really said “here you got talent, visuals”

AHHHH SUPERM! I think that SuperM produces really good songs so I'm glad that you liked them! Also you should definitely check out Taemin's solo songs ! I recommend "Idea" and "Advice" ! He's very artistic with his music and those songs proves just how good of a dancer he is !!!
As strong as they all are (I mean a group of main/lead dancers + Baekhyun who is a very strong dancer too and then all the vocal talent and rap) SuperM did NOT have an easy road. They got a lot of hate and naysayers at the beginning: SM is just trying to make money (yeah, hello, what did you think entertainment companies do?), their home groups will be neglected, they are just catering to the American market and trying to get some of that pie, they've just been thrown together because they are popular...etc. But Baekhyun said an incredibly wise thing ( he is the Perfect leader for this group)- we will win the confidence and support of fans by showing them what we can do together. In my words: Stop talking and just watch and see. And they did amazing things together. They debuted just 6 months before a pandemic shut the world down. Then they spent 2020 giving us a new album and so many shows, vlives, online performances (they were SM's first Beyond Live virtual show, once again got criticised for it and then of course everybody followed that lead) and anything to reach out and connect with fans and give encouragement any way they could. Their onstage chemistry is wonderful (especially for a new group) and they really gelled as friends too. It was just a pleasure any time I got to watch them be together. They have only put out a 1 mini + 1 full album and a few special singles. They didn't have much opportunity with the world locked down and then Baekhyun and Taemin entering the military in 2021. But their music makes a massive difference in my life and I still listen to it all the time, especially the b-sides (which is true of almost every kpop group for me). Their variety of b-sides is amazing and I am so excited that they are coming back in 2023. We get Baekhyun back in a few weeks, Taemin returns a couple months after that and if Lucas in going to come out of hiatus any time soon I would predict SuperM would be the way to do it.... The talent they have collected here is stunning for sure. The music has great variety and I feel they are just beginning to find "their sound". But the friendships, care and humour also played a huge part in me just loving this group. I already loved them in their home groups so it wasn't a huge surprise I loved SuperM too but the mix and chemistry of this particular collection of performers is a delight.

Yes, your right. Theire songs "better days" and "wish you where here" (which they performed live in an online session) literally helped me through 3 weeks (yes 21 days) HongKong hotel quarantine early in 2021.
Ugh, the hate they got in the beginning... there's probably still some of it lingering because any time there is an announcement about SuperM, the haters come out of the woodwork... But they are such a fun group, their music is great (especially the B-sides), and SuperM's tour finally gave me my chance to see Taemin perform live. I love them.
It was planned for Taemin to be the leader and SuperM was built around him when his SHINee hyungs were in the military. You will love Taemin once you fall in... if you like, it would be fun to start with SHINee's 2008 debut, Replay, and then Taemin's 2014 solo debut of Danger and Ace, and move forward from there. Taemin's solo discography is unique and beautiful. Taemin (and Baekhyun) return from military service in a few months and there will be 2023 comebacks for Taemin, SHINee, and SuperM. Also, Taemin's vlives are very sweet and he has a lovely kitty, Kkoong 💜😻 Thank you for your very cool reactions and introduction to this awesome super group 💜
I really enjoyed your reaction :) SuperM is a very special group, their potential is just insane and I don’t think some of their title tracks do them justice. But, with that being said I really love most of their b-sides and you should absolutely explore their discography. As for Taemin - my one and only forever beloved and favorite artist in whole music industry - I really hope you’ll dive deeply into his solo music, cause it’s just exceptional. He has a very unique and intense stage persona, which truly fits his music style and lyrics (his music is dark and has very mature vibe), but he himself, off the stage, is the sweetest, most gentle, humble, adorable and funny person. Btw he and Kai have been real best friends since their training days and they remain super close in their private life :) I truly hope you’ll make such marathon reaction to his songs!
Taemin's look and hairstyle in SuperM's "We Do" MV is actually part of SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback. If you remember, Taemin had those blond highlights in their "Don't Call Me" MV. He was super busy promoting both as a solo artist, as a member of SHINee and as a member of SuperM, all at the same time. Just think how busy Taemin was at this time. Taemin spent the first half of 2020 promoting and touring with SuperM while he was also working on his solo comeback with his Never Gonna Dance Again album -- "2 Kids," "Criminal," "Idea" and "Think of You." And then, even before he was done with his solo promotions, he started working on SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback, and while promoting with SHINee he also was working on SuperM's new song and MV "We Do." And without taking a break he began preparing for SHINee's repackaged album comeback "Atlantis" and their Superstar Japanese mini album. And in between all of that, SHINee was preparing for their Beyond Live concert and their Japanese fan meeting/concert, and Taemin was also recording an OST for a drama, preparing for a Beyond Live solo concert, and working on his "Advice" album, etc. Taemin's push to cram so much into that year and a half was all in preparation for the fact that he was enlisting in the military May 30, 2021 and he would be on hiatus for 18 months -- which ended up being extended until March/April of this year -- as he completes is duties to his country.

Oh yeah, One is actually a mashup of Monster (track song) and Infinity (another track song). That’s why there’s a lot going on and the key suddenly switch in the chorus. I hope you will check out both Monster and Infinity. ❤️❤️
Fun fact: If you know some of SHINee's song history, you might notice several references to iconic SHINee moments within SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)". For instance, SHINee has a song called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" which was created by combining two songs from SHINee's Sherlock album "Clue" and "Note" to create their title track "Sherlock." Just like how "One (Monster & Infinity)" takes two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity" from SuperM's album to create their title track "One" on their Super One album -- the green outfits and choreography is supposed to be monster-like, where the military uniforms and bright clothing represent "Infinity". (As you can see, the beat switches up because it's a mashup of the two songs.) Also, as the SuperM members made reference to during their press conference for the release of their album, one of the parts of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" choreography uses a finger movement that is very reminiscent of an iconic part of SHINee's "Lucifer" choreography. And yes, "One (Monster & Infinity)" is mostly in English, just like "100" and their debut "Jopping" are also mostly English. SuperM is supposed to be geared toward the U.S. market so all their title tracks and most of their album will be in English. Hence their U.S. debut in 2019 and SM's partnership with Capitol Records and Marvel. Although there is so much happening in the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV that could be connected to EXO's storyline, right off the bat, what I see are references to Kai and his role in EXO's storyline with the numerous pyramid/triangle symbols you see throughout the MV. As part of EXO's storyline, Kai's symbol is a pyramid, which represents his teleportation superpower. Also, how I interpret the scene with Kai hanging from the building, is that he is climbing up a building and as he is climbing, pieces of the building are breaking loose. Kind of like in a 007 or Mission Impossible movie, or maybe those are pieces of something that he is being attacked with from above or are falling from something being destroyed above him. You also see drones hovering below him, but I am not sure if that is what he is trying to avoid because they are controlled by the Red Force, or if that is part of SuperM's arsenal and they are helping him in his mission. (Which, also now I think are connected to the drones you see in WayV's "Take Off" and "Moonwalk" MVs and Kai's solo "Film: Kai" and "Mmmh" MV storylines, etc.) The military uniforms are used to show that they have become soldiers now preparing to help EXO battle and defeat the Red Force. (As you just saw, SuperM's debut "Jopping" MV was filmed in the desert in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, I think the tan uniforms are connected to that MV and are designed to be a continuation of their storyline, as a way to help them blend into the desert environment we see them in in "Jopping".) If SuperM is taking members from each of SM's groups and joining forces to take down the Red Force, even more evidence of this is the fact that in "One (Monster & Infinity)" you see Lucas floating in the air, which reminds me of his part in WayV's "Turn Back Time" MV, where he is suspended in the air as the fallen angel. And that part of the story could possibly even be connected to the scene were we see Xiaojun suspended in the air with wings in WayV's debut "Take Off" MV. The fact that SM has now officially partnered with Marvel to fully bring to life SuperM's concept of being the Avengers of Kpop, and because their storyline is supposed to be about creating an Avengers-like group to help EXO battle the Red Force, it only makes me more sure that SuperM's storyline and all the groups represented within SuperM are all connected to EXO's larger storyline and the SM Culture Universe. (when this MV first premiered, there was a special promotional clip in the beginning of the MV that advertised merchandise that was created by Marvel to promote SuperM.) At the end of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, what you see are flashes of SuperM's pre-debut/ "Jopping" MV teasers and they were how the group was introduced and it showcased the members special powers and abilities and helped to establish the group's concept and storyline. Which was a lot like how EXO's storyline was started and has unfolded over the years. The last clip with Taemin and that LG phone, besides being a product placement ad, it's also clearly the next clue or piece of SuperM's storyline. I'm pretty sure that scene is meant to set up something that will become important in the future to continue SuperM's story. Plus, we see, Kai and Taeyong using the same phone in the MV. (Those are real cellphones, which were a new make and model that was really for sale by LG at that time, they weren't just props in the MV.) In the MV, when you see Kai and Taeyong using the phone, it looks like they are looking at a map displayed on the screen. This could possibly be a map to help them navigate through the maze, which it looks like they are in in "One (Monster & Infinity)". As part of EXO's storyline, the members of EXO are trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to find their way out. So, SuperM may be coming to help the other EXO members find their way out of the maze and to break the control the Red Force has over them, etc. Fun fact No. 2: Taemin's end teaser was even kept a secret from the rest of the SuperM members and they didn't know it was part of the MV until they watched the official MV during a special release party. And now, since the release of "One (Monster & Infinity)", we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is actually the logo/symbol for SM's new girl group aespa. aespa debuted Nov. 17, 2020, about 2 month after this MV was released. It now looks as though the end scene was meant to be a teaser for aespa's debut and designed to establish the group's connection to the SM Culture Universe. aespa's concept revolves around the fact that their name means "Avatar experience" and each of the girls has an Avatar character, so they also are superhero-like beings. We will have to wait to see whether aespa joins forces with SuperM or if they end up (joining Red Velvet?) becoming part of the Red Force. (Does the Black Mamba from aespa's storyline turn aespa evil so they join Red Velvet in their pursuit to take down EXO/SuperM? Or, does aespa defeat the Black Mamba and harness their powers to help EXO?) So on that note, I can't emphasize enough, how important it is to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because everything SM does is designed to connect storylines and plots, etc. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work and SHINee's storyline, as well as now all of SM's older groups and artists, such as Super Junior, TVXQ and Kangta, etc. If you like their dancing, you should also check out the dance practice for "One (Monster & Infinity)".
"Tiger Inside" was a pre-release track from SuperM's first full length album Super One released in 2020. This year will be SuperM's 4th anniversary, and SM has promised they will be having a comeback this year once Baekhyun and Taemin are discharged from the military. I think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers. Fun fact: That breakout dance move with Taeyong and Mark in the choreography, doesn't just go along with the beat, but it's supposed to be Taeyong trying to assert his dominance and battle with Mark. Taeyong elbows Mark in the head, which causes him to stumble, then Taeyong pushes him away with his hand (i.e. paw), which causes Mark to spin around to face Taeyong and then Taeyong raises his claws above his head and strikes out at Mark to cause Mark to step away, etc. I think they are supposed to look like tigers preparing for battle with the Red Force, so they are practicing their fighting skills. You should really check out the dance practice videos to see the choreography even better. So, this is just another reason why I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and probably even now their 4th gen groups with the introduction of aespa -- are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connections between the groups. And that includes SuperM, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen. And, as I may have mentioned before, although most of SM's older groups' concepts and MVs may have never been originally designed to have any type of connection to anything to do with anything, that doesn't necessarily mean that over the years as EXO's story has evolved or SM's Universe concept was being created, that SM didn't find "happy coincidences" within those MVs that allowed them to use them as a way to connect things together. For example, some have pointed to the fact that Ningning's butterfly in aespa's concept from 2020 could be connected to the butterfly in EXO's debut "Mama" MV from 2012, as well as the butterfly in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, and some have made compelling arguments that it could even be connected to SHINee's butterfly in their "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. Or the blue roses we see in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV from 2016 may be connected to EXO's flower/blue rose concept, etc. Now I'm not completely convinced that SM would reach back that far, but it makes you question and consider things. :D I mean we see what looks like the pink planet from Super Junior's "House Party" MV and a scene from Super Junior-K.R.Y.'s "When We Were Us" MV from 2020 in "aespa's ep.1 - SM Culture Universe" video. And SM has even brought Kangta, who is a member of the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T., which debuted in 1996, into the storyline with his solo MV remake of H.O.T's song "Free to Fly." And Max Changmin from TVXQ joins the world of Kwangya in his solo "Devil" MV when we see him on the pink planet, etc. So it's starting to look like SM may be hinting at bringing everyone into the storyline, including their older groups and artists. However, no one really knows what is happening for sure in SM's Universe storyline. It's all fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed nor denied any of our theories and they have never explained anything. They have left it up to the fans to interpret the story and connect the pieces. And what makes this even more difficult is the story isn't being told in chronological order, so as fans you have to pay attention to everything and remember what you have seen and heard in previous content in order to decide where each piece fits within the larger storyline. And, as you have seen, it's not just MVs, but it's with everything they do including teaser videos, concert VCRs (short videos played at concerts in between sets), live performances, song lyrics, online content released by SM, special extras included when you purchase an album, etc. It's super complex and all encompassing.
I am a newly minted Taemint and member of Shinee World who started with Kai's solo album and then wanted to know more about his BFF. I'm not a big fan of this type of k-pop to be honest, but I love Kai and Taemin. It's really interesting how the groups and solo projects can have such different sounds. But I also love watching YT vids about this group's dynamic because they are so adorable together. But yeah, do yourself a favor and go down the Lee Taemin rabbit hole. Hold on to your pearls and your purse cause he's gonna steal your heart. 😅

There was even a fitness challenge with the fans (cute videos). Taemin's hair shows that he was also working on SHINee's Don't Call Me comeback. SuperM's "100" MV concept is meant to have that futuristic feel because it's all connected to SM's SM Culture Universe. However, the thing to pay attention to in "100" is the fact that the majority of this MV shows them in a subway train or monorail, which I think is a way to connect SuperM's storyline to aespa's debut "Black Mamba" MV story -- because we also see aespa in a subway train -- and we see SHINee in an "old" train station, which is given a futuristic feel when we see the train station is in space with the planets all around them in their "Don't Call Me" MV; and we see Baekhyun in a train in his most recent solo "Bambi" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks and people on a subway train platform in Kai's "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and as it transitions to "Mmmh." And if we go back even further, you see Key from SHINee on a subway train in his solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV. We also see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX,which Baekhyun is also a member of, on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. Which I think is all connected in someway. We also see SuperM in a spaceship or space capsule or on a space station in "100," which I also think is connected to EXO's/WayV's storyline. In WayV's "Moonwalk" MV, we see the members in space and Ten is even weightless at one point floating in space inside a space capsule, etc. I am also starting to see connections to NCT-127's "Save" and EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" MVs. Which all have aspects of space and/or show them in spaceships/space capsules or on space stations. And now even SHINee Key's "Hate That ..." MV has a spaceship theme, etc. If you take into consideration that all of the these MVs and storylines stem from EXO's original concept and story, because EXO are aliens from another planet, you will often see other worldly, futuristic things happening. And as "Avengers" all of the SuperM members are a type of superhero with other worldly abilities, etc. Also, as you noticed, Taeyong has red hair and two different colored eyes, which probably means that he isn't really himself. He could possibly be a clone or his alter ego, who is part of the Red Force. Usually within SM's storyline, when we see a character with different eye colors this is often used as an indication that they aren't themselves. Super One is the name of SuperM's first full length album --"100" is one of the songs on that album. As they say in the lyrics of "100" -- "We go 100," which means that they are always giving 100% and constantly moving 100 miles per hour trying to be the best and accomplish all their goals and tasks, etc. That is why one of the moves in the choreography shows them stacking their hands on top of each other representing how they are trying to contently outdo themselves and never stop leveling up, etc. Although it's not really a formula one race car concept, SuperM does make reference to fast cars often -- they even have a song on their Jopping album called "Super Car." The fast cars have to do more with their superhero theme and the fact that superheros often drive fast vehicles, like we see each of them driving in their "Jopping" MV, etc. Check out Kai and Taeyong teaching Shindong from Super Junior and comedian/TV personality/host Kang Hodong, who is most well-known as a cast member on the popular variety show Knowing Bros., the choreography for "100" as part of a special summer project they did in 2020 called TTXQ, episode 8, ua-cam.com/video/65K-KbBEOAk/v-deo.html, and ep. 9, ua-cam.com/video/AZDw6rnAEaY/v-deo.html. (Shindong is known as one of the top dancers in Kpop and as part of the project he taught Kang Hodong how to dance by teaching him basic dance styles and then inviting his Idol friends on the show to teach them one of their famous dances.)

Also the end is confusing because leading up to the groups debut each member had their own solo video of them being “recruited” by Taemin. This group was formed by Taemin and he got to pick the members himself
They really went ahead and put basically all of my ults in one group… THEY DID THAT😳 To be totally honest, SuperM only has a few songs that I really like, Monster & Infinity being one of them (Drip is my absolute favorite though and on every kpop playlist I’ve ever made)… they haven’t had a chance to release much music yet though, so I’m really hoping to see all 7 of them back together soon (and not some BS reorganized group with rotating members as rumors are telling me)🥺cuz I guarantee they’ll only get better and better… they def need to distribute the lines a little more evenly though, especially for my talented dude Ten❤️🔥 I hope you also get to check out some live performances from some of the other songs, like Super Car & I Can’t Stand The Rain cuz as performers they are TOP TIER and do not f*ck around😎
SuperM features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. The members of SuperM are some of the top artists from SM Entertainment's most popular groups. Baekhyun, who is one of the best vocalist in the industry, and Kai, who is one of the top 2 dancers in the industry, are from EXO; Taemin is the other top dancer in the industry with one of the most well respected solo careers, and he is a member of the legendary group SHINee; Taeyong is the leader of NCT, and he is known for his dancing and rapping, and Mark is the main rapper from NCT-U/NCT-127; and Ten is the main dancer and lead vocalist, and Lucas is a rapper and visual of NCT-U/WayV. This group was created by SM in collaboration with Capitol Records in Los Angeles, California. SuperM debuted in the U.S. in October 2019, so that is why all of their main track songs are mostly in English, because, as their debut song, "Jopping" was meant to by their foyer into the U.S. music market, and all their other songs are supposed to build on that. SuperM are considered the Avengers of Kpop because the group is so multi-talented, with some of the most influential idols in the industry, representing multiple nationalities and Kpop generations, who are poised to take over the world. Mark is Korean-Canadian, so his native language is English. And WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT, so not only does Ten and Lucas speak Korean and English, but they also speak Mandarin. Ten also speaks Thai because he is from Thailand and Lucas speaks Cantonese because he is from Hong Kong and a little Thai because his mom is Thai. And although, Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin and Taeyong are all native Korean, they also speak many other languages. For example, Taemin and his group SHINee are very popular in Japan, so he is fluent in Japanese as well. Baekhyun is the leader and the oldest member who is currently 30. Mark is the youngest at 23. However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only 29 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. (Fun fact: Lucas is only 3 years younger than Taemin, but Taemin debuted 10 years before Lucas.) In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM. The concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group. Just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. I think the concept of the group all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. As I think you know, the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo, and each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them -- you see Kai teleport at the beginning of "Jopping" and you see Baekhyun using his light power as the car speeds away, etc. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM members. (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser trailer videos which were originally released leading up to the release of their debut.) Therefore, I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop the Red Force from corrupting and taking over the world, etc. And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their stories and concepts and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM. Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs is called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans. SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers. If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" MVs are also part of that story. There are parts of several of WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force. So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen., the members actually are around the same age as the members of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen. And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as all of aespa's MVs and many of NCT's MV -- including NCT-127's "Save" MV, etc.-- and even SM's older groups, such as Kangta's "Free To Fly" MV, Super Junior's "House Party" MV and Max Changmin from TVXQ's solo "Devil" MV, etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together. For instance, if you watch SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV you will see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all standing together in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in "Jopping" when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of the MV as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well. It's all part of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline.

Centers and leaders are two different things in kpop~^.^ A center is pretty self-explanatory in name: they are usually the center in most performances; because of this they'll often be a main dancer and/or visual of a group, too. A leader is more about personality; they're the go-between the company and the members. For example, in EXO (cause you mentioned thinking Kai would be the leader in EXO), the running joke was for most of their career that Suho was the only extrovert in EXO; so, it made sense for him to be the leader, among so other things. For SuperM, SM probably expected Taemin to be the leader actually, cause he had seniority in time in the industry, but the group selected Baekhyun. They picked him, not even because Baekhyun is the oldest member of SuperM, but because of how Baekhyun took charge in making all the members comfortable in the new group and with each other. Being leader doesn't get you perks like getting you more screentime, either; in fact, it's extra work with little reward cause they're often in charge of making sure members have what they need, that everyone is on time, that any disputes between members are handled, etc~~~ They're like an extra manager sometimes.

Hi Mia 😊 First of all you always look so gorgeous 😍. You definitely picked the right name for your channel😊 I enjoyed this fun reaction. My kpop journey actually began with girl group Itzy. I ended up becoming a pinkblood after I saw one of the group members dancing to Taemin's MOVE on a variety show. I was like that looks so different from the other musical acts I'd seen so far in kpop. He is AMAZING. I don't know if you've seen any of his videos but he's a big MJ fan (just like Haechan from NCT) and you can see the influence through his music and mvs. He's very open that seeing MJ inspired him to begin dancing. He debuted with Shinee at age 14 so he's considered a prodigy. He started dancing a bit later then most dancers (as a preteen instead of a child). When you begin your Taemin journey -my suggestion is go chronologically so you can see his growth. (Danger, Press Your Number, Ace are some of my early faves from him. Also Pretty Boy with Kai) Getting into him was the gateway to Shinee (a legend in kpop deservedly so). My fave songs are: Oddeye, Dreamgirl, and Married to the Music. I honestly became interested in SuperM because I knew of Kai because he is RL BFFs with Taemin and that made me check out EXO. I was like who are the other guys that SLAY enough to be in a GROUP with iconic kings Taemin, Kai, and Baekhyun which led me to check out NCT who became my ULT group. The same way you felt about these vids and songs is the same way I felt. Jopping epic MV meh song. 100 nice looks ok song. But as a fan of the group I was happy to see the song and vid quality gradually increasing. It made me happy as a fan. To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, and to get to know the members better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's UA-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop MV shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM. The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But, you're right, all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles. Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.

People who know him from his moody, dark and sensual MVs are surprised how soft and sweet he is in real life. He does have lighter MVs as well, Think of You being one of them. Taemin is also responsible for helping with SuperM by fine tuning their outfits, choreography, production due to artistic vision and experience directing his own songs and mvs. Enjoy your Taemin journey!
I recommend listening to the full album, because the infinity/monster song you listen to is actually two separate songs that we mashed up. And they’re incredible separately as well. Plus the rest of the album is so good I think you’ll like it.❤😊😊
SuperM is probably my fave group under SM, next to Shinee. ( I checked them out because I only listened to Taemin at the time.) Thanks to SuperM, I was introduced to NCT WayV, and Kai! (I don't stan Exo, just casual listening. But I do stan Kai)
SuperM is such a collection of incredible talent, as is SHINee. Really hope you get into Taemin in the future (he is my Ult Ult), but SHINee and all its' members solos are worth a look. I think you'd especially like Taemin and Key.

We Do is actually a CF for Prudential Insurance to promote healthy living through moving/dance... there was a whole dance challenge with it where fans sent in videos of them doing the point choreo and the guys reviewed them. It was cute.... bright and fluffy SuperM!

One (Infinity + Monster) Is two song combined. One and Monster exist separately in the album. And at the and of the song is an ad + aespa teaser
As strong as they all are (I mean a group of main/lead dancers + Baekhyun who is a very strong dancer too and then all the vocal talent and rap) SuperM did NOT have an easy road. They got a lot of hate and naysayers at the beginning: SM is just trying to make money (yeah, hello, what did you think entertainment companies do?), their home groups will be neglected, they are just catering to the American market and trying to get some of that pie, they've just been thrown together because they are popular...etc. But Baekhyun said an incredibly wise thing ( he is the Perfect leader for this group)- we will win the confidence and support of fans by showing them what we can do together. In my words: Stop talking and just watch and see.
And they did amazing things together. They debuted just 6 months before a pandemic shut the world down. Then they spent 2020 giving us a new album and so many shows, vlives, online performances (they were SM's first Beyond Live virtual show, once again got criticised for it and then of course everybody followed that lead) and anything to reach out and connect with fans and give encouragement any way they could.
Their onstage chemistry is wonderful (especially for a new group) and they really gelled as friends too. It was just a pleasure any time I got to watch them be together.
They have only put out a 1 mini + 1 full album and a few special singles. They didn't have much opportunity with the world locked down and then Baekhyun and Taemin entering the military in 2021. But their music makes a massive difference in my life and I still listen to it all the time, especially the b-sides (which is true of almost every kpop group for me). Their variety of b-sides is amazing and I am so excited that they are coming back in 2023. We get Baekhyun back in a few weeks, Taemin returns a couple months after that and if Lucas in going to come out of hiatus any time soon I would predict SuperM would be the way to do it....
The talent they have collected here is stunning for sure. The music has great variety and I feel they are just beginning to find "their sound". But the friendships, care and humour also played a huge part in me just loving this group. I already loved them in their home groups so it wasn't a huge surprise I loved SuperM too but the mix and chemistry of this particular collection of performers is a delight.
Thanks for sharing these back stories of SuperM. I checked out Super M because of Baekhyun (I’m a baby EXO-L, Baek is my ult), and then I fell in love with this super group….
Yes, your right. Theire songs "better days" and "wish you where here" (which they performed live in an online session) literally helped me through 3 weeks (yes 21 days) HongKong hotel quarantine early in 2021.

Ugh, the hate they got in the beginning... there's probably still some of it lingering because any time there is an announcement about SuperM, the haters come out of the woodwork... But they are such a fun group, their music is great (especially the B-sides), and SuperM's tour finally gave me my chance to see Taemin perform live. I love them.
It was planned for Taemin to be the leader and SuperM was built around him when his SHINee hyungs were in the military. You will love Taemin once you fall in... if you like, it would be fun to start with SHINee's 2008 debut, Replay, and then Taemin's 2014 solo debut of Danger and Ace, and move forward from there. Taemin's solo discography is unique and beautiful. Taemin (and Baekhyun) return from military service in a few months and there will be 2023 comebacks for Taemin, SHINee, and SuperM. I really enjoyed your reaction :) SuperM is a very special group, their potential is just insane and I don’t think some of their title tracks do them justice. But, with that being said I really love most of their b-sides and you should absolutely explore their discography.
As for Taemin - my one and only forever beloved and favorite artist in whole music industry - I really hope you’ll dive deeply into his solo music, cause it’s just exceptional. He has a very unique and intense stage persona, which truly fits his music style and lyrics (his music is dark and has very mature vibe), but he himself, off the stage, is the sweetest, most gentle, humble, adorable and funny person. Btw he and Kai have been real best friends since their training days and they remain super close in their private life :) I truly hope you’ll make such marathon reaction to his songs!
Taemin's look and hairstyle in SuperM's "We Do" MV is actually part of SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback. If you remember, Taemin had those blond highlights in their "Don't Call Me" MV. He was super busy promoting both as a solo artist, as a member of SHINee and as a member of SuperM, all at the same time.
Just think how busy Taemin was at this time. Taemin spent the first half of 2020 promoting and touring with SuperM while he was also working on his solo comeback with his Never Gonna Dance Again album -- "2 Kids," "Criminal," "Idea" and "Think of You." And then, even before he was done with his solo promotions, he started working on SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback, and while promoting with SHINee he also was working on SuperM's new song and MV "We Do." And without taking a break he began preparing for SHINee's repackaged album comeback "Atlantis" and their Superstar Japanese mini album. And in between all of that, SHINee was preparing for their Beyond Live concert and their Japanese fan meeting/concert, and Taemin was also recording an OST for a drama, preparing for a Beyond Live solo concert, and working on his "Advice" album, etc.
Taemin's push to cram so much into that year and a half was all in preparation for the fact that he was enlisting in the military May 30, 2021 and he would be on hiatus for 18 months -- which ended up being extended until March/April of this year -- as he completes is duties to his country.

Fun fact: If you know some of SHINee's song history, you might notice several references to iconic SHINee moments within SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)". For instance, SHINee has a song called "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" which was created by combining two songs from SHINee's Sherlock album "Clue" and "Note" to create their title track "Sherlock." Just like how "One (Monster & Infinity)" takes two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity" from SuperM's album to create their title track "One" on their Super One album -- the green outfits and choreography is supposed to be monster-like, where the military uniforms and bright clothing represent "Infinity". (As you can see, the beat switches up because it's a mashup of the two songs.) Also, as the SuperM members made reference to during their press conference for the release of their album, one of the parts of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" choreography uses a finger movement that is very reminiscent of an iconic part of SHINee's "Lucifer" choreography.
And yes, "One (Monster & Infinity)" is mostly in English, just like "100" and their debut "Jopping" are also mostly English. SuperM is supposed to be geared toward the U.S. market so all their title tracks and most of their album will be in English. Hence their U.S. debut in 2019 and SM's partnership with Capitol Records and Marvel.
Although there is so much happening in the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV that could be connected to EXO's storyline, right off the bat, what I see are references to Kai and his role in EXO's storyline with the numerous pyramid/triangle symbols you see throughout the MV. As part of EXO's storyline, Kai's symbol is a pyramid, which represents his teleportation superpower.
Also, how I interpret the scene with Kai hanging from the building, is that he is climbing up a building and as he is climbing, pieces of the building are breaking loose. Kind of like in a 007 or Mission Impossible movie, or maybe those are pieces of something that he is being attacked with from above or are falling from something being destroyed above him. You also see drones hovering below him, but I am not sure if that is what he is trying to avoid because they are controlled by the Red Force, or if that is part of SuperM's arsenal and they are helping him in his mission. (Which, also now I think are connected to the drones you see in WayV's "Take Off" and "Moonwalk" MVs and Kai's solo "Film: Kai" and "Mmmh" MV storylines, etc.)
The military uniforms are used to show that they have become soldiers now preparing to help EXO battle and defeat the Red Force. (As you just saw, SuperM's debut "Jopping" MV was filmed in the desert in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, I think the tan uniforms are connected to that MV and are designed to be a continuation of their storyline, as a way to help them blend into the desert environment we see them in in "Jopping".)
If SuperM is taking members from each of SM's groups and joining forces to take down the Red Force, even more evidence of this is the fact that in "One (Monster & Infinity)" you see Lucas floating in the air, which reminds me of his part in WayV's "Turn Back Time" MV, where he is suspended in the air as the fallen angel. And that part of the story could possibly even be connected to the scene were we see Xiaojun suspended in the air with wings in WayV's debut "Take Off" MV.
The fact that SM has now officially partnered with Marvel to fully bring to life SuperM's concept of being the Avengers of Kpop, and because their storyline is supposed to be about creating an Avengers-like group to help EXO battle the Red Force, it only makes me more sure that SuperM's storyline and all the groups represented within SuperM are all connected to EXO's larger storyline and the SM Culture Universe. (when this MV first premiered, there was a special promotional clip in the beginning of the MV that advertised merchandise that was created by Marvel to promote SuperM.)
At the end of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, what you see are flashes of SuperM's pre-debut/ "Jopping" MV teasers and they were how the group was introduced and it showcased the members special powers and abilities and helped to establish the group's concept and storyline. Which was a lot like how EXO's storyline was started and has unfolded over the years.
The last clip with Taemin and that LG phone, besides being a product placement ad, it's also clearly the next clue or piece of SuperM's storyline. I'm pretty sure that scene is meant to set up something that will become important in the future to continue SuperM's story. Plus, we see, Kai and Taeyong using the same phone in the MV. (Those are real cellphones, which were a new make and model that was really for sale by LG at that time, they weren't just props in the MV.)
In the MV, when you see Kai and Taeyong using the phone, it looks like they are looking at a map displayed on the screen. This could possibly be a map to help them navigate through the maze, which it looks like they are in in "One (Monster & Infinity)". As part of EXO's storyline, the members of EXO are trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to find their way out. So, SuperM may be coming to help the other EXO members find their way out of the maze and to break the control the Red Force has over them, etc.
Fun fact No. 2: Taemin's end teaser was even kept a secret from the rest of the SuperM members and they didn't know it was part of the MV until they watched the official MV during a special release party.
And now, since the release of "One (Monster & Infinity)", we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is actually the logo/symbol for SM's new girl group aespa. aespa debuted Nov. 17, 2020, about 2 month after this MV was released. It now looks as though the end scene was meant to be a teaser for aespa's debut and designed to establish the group's connection to the SM Culture Universe.
aespa's concept revolves around the fact that their name means "Avatar experience" and each of the girls has an Avatar character, so they also are superhero-like beings. We will have to wait to see whether aespa joins forces with SuperM or if they end up (joining Red Velvet?) becoming part of the Red Force.
(Does the Black Mamba from aespa's storyline turn aespa evil so they join Red Velvet in their pursuit to take down EXO/SuperM? Or, does aespa defeat the Black Mamba and harness their powers to help EXO?)
So on that note, I can't emphasize enough, how important it is to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because everything SM does is designed to connect storylines and plots, etc. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work and SHINee's storyline, as well as now all of SM's older groups and artists, such as Super Junior, TVXQ and Kangta, etc.

"Tiger Inside" was a pre-release track from SuperM's first full length album Super One released in 2020. This year will be SuperM's 4th anniversary, and SM has promised they will be having a comeback this year once Baekhyun and Taemin are discharged from the military.
I think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers.
Fun fact: That breakout dance move with Taeyong and Mark in the choreography, doesn't just go along with the beat, but it's supposed to be Taeyong trying to assert his dominance and battle with Mark. Taeyong elbows Mark in the head, which causes him to stumble, then Taeyong pushes him away with his hand (i.e. paw), which causes Mark to spin around to face Taeyong and then Taeyong raises his claws above his head and strikes out at Mark to cause Mark to step away, etc. I think they are supposed to look like tigers preparing for battle with the Red Force, so they are practicing their fighting skills. You should really check out the dance practice videos to see the choreography even better.
So, this is just another reason why I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and probably even now their 4th gen groups with the introduction of aespa -- are being designed to connect stories and plots.
Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connections between the groups. And that includes SuperM, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And, as I may have mentioned before, although most of SM's older groups' concepts and MVs may have never been originally designed to have any type of connection to anything to do with anything, that doesn't necessarily mean that over the years as EXO's story has evolved or SM's Universe concept was being created, that SM didn't find "happy coincidences" within those MVs that allowed them to use them as a way to connect things together. For example, some have pointed to the fact that Ningning's butterfly in aespa's concept from 2020 could be connected to the butterfly in EXO's debut "Mama" MV from 2012, as well as the butterfly in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, and some have made compelling arguments that it could even be connected to SHINee's butterfly in their "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. Or the blue roses we see in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV from 2016 may be connected to EXO's flower/blue rose concept, etc. Now I'm not completely convinced that SM would reach back that far, but it makes you question and consider things. :D I mean we see what looks like the pink planet from Super Junior's "House Party" MV and a scene from Super Junior-K.R.Y.'s "When We Were Us" MV from 2020 in "aespa's ep.1 - SM Culture Universe" video. And SM has even brought Kangta, who is a member of the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T., which debuted in 1996, into the storyline with his solo MV remake of H.O.T's song "Free to Fly." And Max Changmin from TVXQ joins the world of Kwangya in his solo "Devil" MV when we see him on the pink planet, etc. So it's starting to look like SM may be hinting at bringing everyone into the storyline, including their older groups and artists.
However, no one really knows what is happening for sure in SM's Universe storyline. It's all fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed nor denied any of our theories and they have never explained anything. They have left it up to the fans to interpret the story and connect the pieces. And what makes this even more difficult is the story isn't being told in chronological order, so as fans you have to pay attention to everything and remember what you have seen and heard in previous content in order to decide where each piece fits within the larger storyline. And, as you have seen, it's not just MVs, but it's with everything they do including teaser videos, concert VCRs (short videos played at concerts in between sets), live performances, song lyrics, online content released by SM, special extras included when you purchase an album, etc. It's super complex and all encompassing.
I am a newly minted Taemint and member of Shinee World who started with Kai's solo album and then wanted to know more about his BFF. I'm not a big fan of this type of k-pop to be honest, but I love Kai and Taemin. It's really interesting how the groups and solo projects can have such different sounds. But I also love watching YT vids about this group's dynamic because they are so adorable together. But yeah, do yourself a favor and go down the Lee Taemin rabbit hole. Hold on to your pearls and your purse cause he's gonna steal your heart. 😅

SuperM's "100" MV concept is meant to have that futuristic feel because it's all connected to SM's SM Culture Universe.
However, the thing to pay attention to in "100" is the fact that the majority of this MV shows them in a subway train or monorail, which I think is a way to connect SuperM's storyline to aespa's debut "Black Mamba" MV story -- because we also see aespa in a subway train -- and we see SHINee in an "old" train station, which is given a futuristic feel when we see the train station is in space with the planets all around them in their "Don't Call Me" MV; and we see Baekhyun in a train in his most recent solo "Bambi" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks and people on a subway train platform in Kai's "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and as it transitions to "Mmmh." And if we go back even further, you see Key from SHINee on a subway train in his solo debut "One of Those Nights" MV. We also see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX,which Baekhyun is also a member of, on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. Which I think is all connected in someway.
We also see SuperM in a spaceship or space capsule or on a space station in "100," which I also think is connected to EXO's/WayV's storyline. In WayV's "Moonwalk" MV, we see the members in space and Ten is even weightless at one point floating in space inside a space capsule, etc.
I am also starting to see connections to NCT-127's "Save" and EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" MVs. Which all have aspects of space and/or show them in spaceships/space capsules or on space stations. And now even SHINee Key's "Hate That ..." MV has a spaceship theme, etc.
If you take into consideration that all of the these MVs and storylines stem from EXO's original concept and story, because EXO are aliens from another planet, you will often see other worldly, futuristic things happening. And as "Avengers" all of the SuperM members are a type of superhero with other worldly abilities, etc.
Also, as you noticed, Taeyong has red hair and two different colored eyes, which probably means that he isn't really himself. He could possibly be a clone or his alter ego, who is part of the Red Force. Usually within SM's storyline, when we see a character with different eye colors this is often used as an indication that they aren't themselves.
Super One is the name of SuperM's first full length album --"100" is one of the songs on that album.
As they say in the lyrics of "100" -- "We go 100," which means that they are always giving 100% and constantly moving 100 miles per hour trying to be the best and accomplish all their goals and tasks, etc. That is why one of the moves in the choreography shows them stacking their hands on top of each other representing how they are trying to contently outdo themselves and never stop leveling up, etc.
Although it's not really a formula one race car concept, SuperM does make reference to fast cars often -- they even have a song on their Jopping album called "Super Car." The fast cars have to do more with their superhero theme and the fact that superheros often drive fast vehicles, like we see each of them driving in their "Jopping" MV, etc.

SuperM features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. The members of SuperM are some of the top artists from SM Entertainment's most popular groups. Baekhyun, who is one of the best vocalist in the industry, and Kai, who is one of the top 2 dancers in the industry, are from EXO; Taemin is the other top dancer in the industry with one of the most well respected solo careers, and he is a member of the legendary group SHINee; Taeyong is the leader of NCT, and he is known for his dancing and rapping, and Mark is the main rapper from NCT-U/NCT-127; and Ten is the main dancer and lead vocalist, and Lucas is a rapper and visual of NCT-U/WayV.
This group was created by SM in collaboration with Capitol Records in Los Angeles, California. SuperM debuted in the U.S. in October 2019, so that is why all of their main track songs are mostly in English, because, as their debut song, "Jopping" was meant to by their foyer into the U.S. music market, and all their other songs are supposed to build on that.

Mark is Korean-Canadian, so his native language is English. And WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT, so not only does Ten and Lucas speak Korean and English, but they also speak Mandarin. Ten also speaks Thai because he is from Thailand and Lucas speaks Cantonese because he is from Hong Kong and a little Thai because his mom is Thai. And although, Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin and Taeyong are all native Korean, they also speak many other languages. For example, Taemin and his group SHINee are very popular in Japan, so he is fluent in Japanese as well.
Baekhyun is the leader and the oldest member who is currently 30. Mark is the youngest at 23. However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only 29 years old, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. (Fun fact: Lucas is only 3 years younger than Taemin, but Taemin debuted 10 years before Lucas.) In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which, might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM.
The concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group. Just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
I think the concept of the group all stems from EXO's concept and storyline. As I think you know, the members of EXO are all supposed to be aliens from Planet Exo, and each of the members has a superpower that is specific to them. From day one, EXO's story has been that they were sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are thought to be caused by the Red Force. As a member of EXO, Baekhyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them -- you see Kai teleport at the beginning of "Jopping" and you see Baekhyun using his light power as the car speeds away, etc. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other SuperM members. (You will see the other member's special powers and abilities if you check out all of their teaser trailer videos which were originally released leading up to the release of their debut.)
Therefore, I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, SuperM's storyline is tied to EXOs storyline. I think SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop the Red Force from corrupting and taking over the world, etc.
And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their stories and concepts and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertaiment doing the same thing with SuperM.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that, for example, NCT and WayV have songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs is called "New Heroes". With what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO, is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute of details together to build an epic adventure for fans.
SuperM's storyline is already connected to EXO's storyline, and I think SM may be working on expanding the story to its other groups, in the same way that "The Avengers" connects all the individual superheroes' stories when they come together to form The Avengers.
If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released "Jopping," WayV came out with their MV for "Moonwalk" and I think the story in their "Moonwalk" MV is a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think WayV's "Turn Back Time" and "Kick Back" MVs are also part of that story.
There are parts of several of WayV's MVs, such as "Moonwalk," where it looks as though Ten and Lucas are there to gather the members to bring them into the battle, and in "Turn Back Time" it looks like the WayV members are all beat up like they have been in a fight, which means they could have been in a battle with the Red Force, etc.
To help explain, I think EXO, as members of SuperM, are working with the other "Avengers" members to try and stop X-EXO. If you pay attention to what Kai and Baekhyun are wearing in "Jopping," their outfits are very similar to the all black outfits they are wearing in EXO's "Obsession " MV -- Kai even wears the same parachute backpack in both MVs -- which seems to indicate then that the version of Kai and Baekhyun in SuperM are the EXO members who are the good guys. Because in "Obsession" the members in all black are supposed to be EXO and the members in the colorful outfits with the crazy hair and makeup are the X-EXO members who have been created by the Red Force.
So on that note, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third and fourth generation groups' MVs and storylines are being designed to connect stories and plots. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connection between the groups. And that includes EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen., the members actually are around the same age as the members of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And now I see connections being made with SHINee's most recent "Don't Call Me" and "Atlantis" MVs, as well as all of aespa's MVs and many of NCT's MV -- including NCT-127's "Save" MV, etc.-- and even SM's older groups, such as Kangta's "Free To Fly" MV, Super Junior's "House Party" MV and Max Changmin from TVXQ's solo "Devil" MV, etc. It is becoming clear that SM is designing the SM Universe to include all of its groups and it is tying all of their storylines together.
For instance, if you watch SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV you will see the SHINee members at one point go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all standing together in all black outfits. This looks very similar to the scene in "Jopping" when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of the MV as they are teleported or travel through the wormhole. So, it looks like maybe SHINee are preparing to eventually join in the fight as well.
It's all part of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline.

Centers and leaders are two different things in kpop~^.^
A center is pretty self-explanatory in name: they are usually the center in most performances; because of this they'll often be a main dancer and/or visual of a group, too.
A leader is more about personality; they're the go-between the company and the members. For example, in EXO (cause you mentioned thinking Kai would be the leader in EXO), the running joke was for most of their career that Suho was the only extrovert in EXO; so, it made sense for him to be the leader, among so other things.
For SuperM, SM probably expected Taemin to be the leader actually, cause he had seniority in time in the industry, but the group selected Baekhyun. They picked him, not even because Baekhyun is the oldest member of SuperM, but because of how Baekhyun took charge in making all the members comfortable in the new group and with each other.
Being leader doesn't get you perks like getting you more screentime, either; in fact, it's extra work with little reward cause they're often in charge of making sure members have what they need, that everyone is on time, that any disputes between members are handled, etc~~~ They're like an extra manager sometimes.
The reaction to mark's jopping rap and his 'you better run' in one is exactly how i reacted!! He just makes the songs so much better

I enjoyed this fun reaction. My kpop journey actually began with girl group Itzy. I ended up becoming a pinkblood after I saw one of the group members dancing to Taemin's MOVE on a variety show. I was like that looks so different from the other musical acts I'd seen so far in kpop. He is AMAZING. I don't know if you've seen any of his videos but he's a big MJ fan (just like Haechan from NCT) and you can see the influence through his music and mvs. He's very open that seeing MJ inspired him to begin dancing. He debuted with Shinee at age 14 so he's considered a prodigy. He started dancing a bit later then most dancers (as a preteen instead of a child). When you begin your Taemin journey -my suggestion is go chronologically so you can see his growth. (Danger, Press Your Number, Ace are some of my early faves from him. Also Pretty Boy with Kai) Getting into him was the gateway to Shinee (a legend in kpop deservedly so). My fave songs are: Oddeye, Dreamgirl, and Married to the Music. I honestly became interested in SuperM because I knew of Kai because he is RL BFFs with Taemin and that made me check out EXO. I was like who are the other guys that SLAY enough to be in a GROUP with iconic kings Taemin, Kai, and Baekhyun which led me to check out NCT who became my ULT group. The same way you felt about these vids and songs is the same way I felt. Jopping epic MV meh song. 100 nice looks ok song. But as a fan of the group I was happy to see the song and vid quality gradually increasing. It made me happy as a fan. Like most SM groups they have some great bsides with no vid but awesome live performances. I like: I Can't Stand the Rain, SuperCar. Thank you for checking them out and sharing it with us. To understand the story and concept behind "Jopping" better, and to get to know the members better, if you haven't already, you should watch the behind the scenes/making of video called "SuperM: The Story of Jopping." It's an official video on SuperM's UA-cam channel. It's one of the best behind the scenes Kpop MV shooting videos I have watched and it really helps to explain the concept and story behind the song and the group. It's well worth the 30-plus minute video. Please check it out, even if you don't react to it. :D
If you follow EXO's concept and storyline even a little, you know that SM doesn't do anything halfway. When they come up with a concept for a group they go all in and even the most minute of details are used to tell that story. SuperM is specifically designed to try to help SM grab even more of the U.S. market. That is why their debut and all of their promotions were focused in the U.S. If you notice, SuperM starts with S and ends with M -- SM.
The stadium/coliseum scenes were all filmed in Korea on a soundstage. But, you're right, all the outdoor scenes were filmed in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the desert and that cityscape were in Dubai -- it was all filmed live on location. And all those vehicles you see in the MV are real vehicles. Kai rode in the helicopter and Ten and Lucas filmed on that tank, etc. The scenes where you saw them driving the vehicles were in Dubai. They were drove by stuntmen, but they were all real working vehicles.
Just wait until you see them perform live at their debut concert at Capitol Records in California, you will be even more blown away.
In exo Kai is one of the youngest that why he can't be a leader , in superm baekhyun is the oldest, Taemin and kai are bff since they was 12 or 14 years old, superm have comeback this year after baekhyun and Taemin discharged from military, i hope lucas is also there i mis him, tomorow is our kai brithday, in advance happy brithday to our cutie nini🐻 kim kai 🥳
