Im going to look into getting this purely for the mic mute/deafen for discord. Was already looking at going to purchase something off of amazon, but for $90 and having three pedals, it isnt a bad deal. Especially with the build quality. Everything on Amazon looks really cheap and is still like $50 for a double pedal.
I don't know if you are serious but if you have a quite recent motherboard, there is chance you have a USC-C port on it, you can buy a USB-C to multiple USB dongle without losing transfer speed
Same! Lol I need to buy a dongle now because there's so much stuff I want and I don't have anymore usb's in my motherboard since it's a prebuilt. I might buy a new motherboard tho... idk
Can it be used as a replacement for W and S in FPS games? Like can you keep it pressed down with your foot to go forward/backward? My left shoulder hurts because of many decades of gaming, and limiting that strain would be a godsend.
This is also very great for podcast producers like me. While recording my podcast, I like to add markers to my recording. I can do this, using the 'underground' Padal.
I've been using a plasticy "Fragpedal" (by good work systems) dual pedal for years that I got off of amazon in 2018. That pedal works well but this elgato pedal looks like a huge upgrade quality and tension wise compared to my dual thin plastic clicky pedals with flat-ish action of the fragpedal. I also already have a few stream decks (my version 1, 15 key also since 2018) that I integrate heavily with windows and displayfusion - so the fact that this is part of the stream deck plugin library and interface just makes it that much better. Thanks for making this. This kind of thing is great for system, window management, a/v, mute toggle, fwd/back button etc. and anything else a stream deck can tie into but pedals are also great for games. I remember playing grim dawn back in the day where my character had boots with a stomp attack aoe and having a pedal made it just that much more fun to use while also being more intuitive. Things like that for activating oh-shit shields, ice block type things, aoes, and other quick actions seem a lot easier or at least more intuitive to activate by using a pedal too. Also useful for things like weapon swapping, targeting and target cycling, target lock and jumping to the saved target, etc. depending on the game.
I got mine ordered last night. I see many uses for using this pedal in multiple roles making videos and then editing. Integrate with Blackmagic Atems and Davinci Resolve will be my interest. Love to hit a button on my regular stream deck and change the profile on the pedal. Have multiple profiles at my fingertips for my toe tips. :)
I have been using a regular usb foot pedal, though its cheaper the large amount of features and the fact that this is integrated with the elgato enviornment makes it worth the price compared to standard usb foot pedals
I don't know whether this was intentional or not, but as someone with RSI in both wrists, I've been looking for a pedal to use with discord while I work online with clients. The fact that I can use it with other programs is a huge plus as I cannot currently use my hands for mousing or typing. When you can't use your hands, you often rely on other voice control programs to use your computer which is where using discord to talk to someone while simultaneously uttering gibberish voice commands to your computer can be confusing for the user on the other end, and slow and cumbersome for me. I'm really looking forward to trying out one of these. I hope you can advertise this as an accessibility tool as well as it could definitely help out more people in tough situations :) Thank you!!
Hello! Did you try the pedal? I'm currently in the same situation with RSI in both hands and I'll have to start work again in November. I've been looking into options to direct commands with my feet and I would like to know if you can use the pedal for any type of software and even add a second pedal add a second pedal
I just bought a stream deck XL for productivity purposes. I have wanted to build shortcuts for repetitive actions in various applications and in Chrome. Forever. I'm a longtime mac user, not developer and have no desire to become Mr Macro Dude. I just want speed, simplicity, ease of use, ease of configuration-customization and a nice variety of features. Muting my mic (headset user for VoIP, UC and VTC) seems like a nice use for the deck, but 1000% perfect for the pedal. I'd even take a BIG red button (think of the Staples' "EASY" button) on my desk to do (maybe a product line extension for elgato?) thanks for the video. I'm sold! I am curious to know if the "Mute Mic" functionality can be extended to other apps or to MacOS in general. thanks! headhuntersully
This could come in very handy. Am I to understand that I can assign each pedal to a function in the same way I can assign a function to a button on the conventional stream deck? If so, that could be very helpful to switch scenes without people knowing it's me doing the switching.
Nice video Steggy. Is it possible to add hold and release functionality to the pedal. It will be helpful like when you want to mute the mic while sneezing you just hold the pedal and then release it to unmute?
Hello! I use New Blue Captivate Present (Titler 5) that is a presentation software! I want to have a NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons! How can assign the 3 buttons of the Elgato pedal to control the software? Thanks !
This is super cool and everything and I can already imagine a TON of uses for it, but the Xbox Series S/X and PS5 have been on the market for over 2 years now. Can we PLEASE get some word that a Full HDMi 2.1 Capture card, is at least in the works. Sure Streaming 120Hz isn't possible yet, but the inability to Pass through 120Hz to my monitor is a deal breaker for ANY Capture card.
Can it be used for assigning keybinds within a game like Fortnite? I'd love to be able to push different pedals for in-game actions and even" push-to-talk" to team mates. Anyone know???
Hi, I purchased the Elgato Prompter and the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal. I want to use the pedal to scroll the prompters text for talking head videos for youtube. I plugged everything in and dowloaded the most recent version of Stream Deck on Elgato's website, but when I'm in the floating pedal application, it just says "Stream Deck". There's no "stream deck pedal" profile. What do i do? How do i get the stream deck pedal profile and all plugins and commands?
Does this work with transcription work on a MacBook Air laptop? I only need it for play, forwarding audio and rewinding audio for transcribing voice notes into type / readable documents.
What is the board recognized as when plugged into a computer without Stream Deck software? When I'm working from home, I also use my work laptop on my docking station. Other boards are recognized as a joystick and can also be used without software. How is it here?
Glad there's a discord plugin now. For some odd reason, it's not working for me. I click on "Request Access" button, but nothing happens. How can i fix this?
Actually I have figured it out and yes it is possible to bind the Elgato light to the G key via iCue/Stream Deck software. Hopefully Elgato can make the software available for the Linux platform too.
I think the latest version of the software has problems letting my pedals work with my game. I'm trying to bind "E" and "Q" to lean in EFT and these are not registering on the game. But if I click out on windows they are registering. Ugh... so annoyinggggg!!!
