As a Braves fans who remembers the day Maddux signed with Atlanta this upload is fascinating. Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz will forever be connected in baseball history.
As a Cub fan I also remember when he went to Atlanta. Cub fans were heartbroken but I am glad he went to Atlanta and had great success. If he stayed in Chicago he would have been a great pitcher with a lousy baseball team.
I’m a cubs fan and was heart broken when that trader left us. He shouldn’t of done that.
I was super excited as a Braves fan
Maddux was amazing with the Cubs, but when he went to the Braves among those great pitchers, they pushed him to be the greatest pitcher of the 90s and one of the all time greats of the game.
@@FrostyBalls01 You can't blame a guy for going to a team that was willing to pay him what he's worth instead of insulting him like the Cubs.
"No instant replay in baseball." My how times have changed.
Maddux is my favorite athlete of all time. Maddux signed with us just 2 months later. I wonder if he knew he was going to do that at this point or if this interview helped tee that up...
Oh what a find of my favorite pitcher! Thank you!
I grew up with the phillies but I enjoy listening to maddux talk baseball...he obviously loves the game
Oh damn, $83 for a family of four???
What a time to be alive!!!
it’s like 83 for nosebleed seats now for 1 person 😓
Miami is still cheap
The kid wirh the old man wig was the best!
Where in the heck do you find these? This is gold.
You know how some of these games, the tape runs out? Some of these games, there was room enough after the game ended to record other stuff to fill up the tape. This is that other stuff. We've read enough comments asking for more Greg Maddux games, we figured, well, folks might take a liking to this clip.
I find it interesting the way maddux talks. Like barely more than a whisper and you can never tell is hes serious or BSing
There should be more of these videos of Greg Maddux. The irony for him is Maddux could care less! And that is one of the many reasons he is the greatest!
"Walks will kill you".
Maddux won't even walk his dog.
Wow this is awesome...and that interviewer seems kinda short/rude
Do you have his press conference in 2004 return to cubs?
No, we do not.
He should have signed with the Yankees.
He wasn’t even a brave yet at the moment of this interview but by the sounds of it his mind was already made up
