That is why we still listen to this stuff. Each member needed to be listened to and you can only focus on 1 or 2 full speed. I love these iso tracks. Its almost a new song
I read that some fans commented that Glenn’s Bass was lost in the mix on the original and subsequent reissues of the ‘Burn’ album. Now it’s time to commence and ‘fill your boots’ Incredible to hear this this way after all this time. Thanks for posting.

I think Lord can be in the same sound waves as Glenn. Not on purpose but it waters down the effect of the bass with Glenns style. Strangly enough I can easily hear Roger Glovers bass easily compared to Glenn. Rogers bass playing is superior in Purple for some reason. better sounding better fit.

@@GordWait Yeah the octaver's been around for a bit - pitrch shifters though were much later. Im just curious because it doesnt sound double tracked on this. (This has to be my favourites song pretty much of all time)
He certainly was! And another fun fact, he ended up selling it to Geezer Butler who ended up using it for the Never Say Die live gig in 1978. Geezer still has it
This what I was looking for! Burn without the keyboard solo. On it's own it's a great solo, and is in most backing tracks. But it sounds often too professional. IMO most guitar players can't compete in sound or skill that emerges with the solo. That spoils it. I prefer to play the keyboard part on guitar.

Great for backing track for guitarists.
REAL bass and drums I can't get enough of it.

good sound!
Cool bananas. This is funking great playing by the Chief and the Voice.

A magicians of hard rock!!!!
Sir Paice: well, i thought about a drum solo...
Band: oh cool
Sir Paice:...as soon as the lyrics begins

I like the cover image ❤️❤️❤️
No disrespect to Ritchie, John and Ian but this kicks ass !
Glenn Hughes!!! \m/
to Ritchie, John and David.
You mean Coverdale, Gillan was Mach 2...
Firstly it isn't 'John' it's Jon, secondly what do you mean 'No disrespect to Ian'???
@@brianjlevine it's Jon not 'John'
These guys kicked ass
i would like to put this on a giant speaker and have the bass literally kick me in the chest.
This is very cool.
It was just great! And that's a shame, that Glenn's bass were hid so much deep in the final mix of the song. It had to sound louder and heavier!
The bass in the original recording is barely noticeable
yeah, when You hear the whole Band, the bass sounds like a hum, plus I can hear Him using an octave effect in the middle here
Absolutely. I play in a dp tribute band and I had to learn the part using this video.

2:50 - is he playing double stops or is that an octaver?
I don't think octavers were invented yet...

he plays regular octaves with his thumb (pick) and the other finger
Love the bassline and Glenn’s playing but wishing he’d chosen a beefier sounding bass than the weedy, twangy, thwacky Rickenbacker.
It works great in the mix blending with guitar
Dobre
Two monsters ver good
Glenn's bass tone is quite toppy, wonder if he's playing a Rickenbacker bass here?

fckin killer

Good point
literally wtf are you talking about?
I much love Glenn over Roger.
I can still hear guitar
Are you dumb its bass
They were all recorded in the same room at the same time. What you're hearing is the sound of the guitar from the bass and drum mics.
@@whotookaegir and possibly bleed from adjacent tracks.
These days, the bass drum is as loud as the bass guitar. So wrong!
Everyone, before you come on here get your shit right about the band, I can't believe how people get shit wrong
The bass is slightly behind the beat.but it’s not that noticeable in the final mix.could have been tighter
Nonsense, this is is nice and loose like it should be.
