Thank you for taking the time to share this. While my battery light does not come on I do believe I have slow draw somewhere on my 09 F150. I’ve used the vehicle monitoring option on the dash and states electrical is %100. It doesn’t have a sound system nor do I leave cigaret lighter or phone chargers plugged in. I’ve noticed sometimes that the display on my radio doesn’t turn off right away when exiting my truck. I know that the system typically stays on for a short amount of time when turn the engine off but not after opening the door and closing it. An example would be my Bluetooth connection would still be connected. I received various codes related to my ac, heated and cool seats as well as the exterior mirrors. As of late I noticed that lights at the bottom of the mirror are not working…when I enter the truck the top driver side map light doesn’t turn on with the passenger side unless I give it a slight tap. Only thing I can think of is due to water leaks causing issues somewhere. I know that’s a lot to chase down, just curious if you have experienced any other electrical issues aside from alternator. My driver side rear taillight has a short in it I had to repair…as well as had to replace the positive battery cable lug. Thanks again for any feedback or shared experiences.
Your the only video out there that shows this model ford and where wires go . I have 2009 ford platinum model and I had the check electrical system battery light on and was still driving with it on. Then it left and still driving. Then with heavy snow drop it came back on and then it shut down all power as I was driving and got home just in time where it stopped. Battery all drained. Bought new battery and still alternator doesn't charge. There is no light on or anything on dash. I saw a ground broke and corroded from chassy and fixed that but still no battery charging and no lights. Runs everything but no charging. 3 pins on alternator look good. See no wear and tear but every other wires are all wrapped and covered very well. I may order an alternator. I checked some fuses and all good. But then the book doesn't specify well where the alternator fuses are and stuff. But checked and seems fine. I'm at a lost now. I did order that piece you showed. Coming in tomorrow. May actually be the alternator. No light warning ,no nothing. Weird. Thanks for your video. Shows more wires we don't know unless taken apart. I was trying to see if it had an inline fuse this truck as well besides the fuse box. No find that I know. Book shows nothing and very limited. Thank you for any suggestions available.

So you where driving around for 3 year with the battery light on?
Same issue here… everything comes out good but light comes on unless I’m driving fast. My voltage varies dramatically.

was the battery light on all of the time?
Yes, at first it was intermittent then on full.
Battery tested normal and charge at alternator was normal.
My battery light on too new alternator and battery.. alternator charging at 13.4 the car hasn’t died but the light is on. Will you help
How old is yout F150?
My 89 f150 got the same problem battery light on but 14.4 votes
